Go get a 33" sink. You have come this far, let's not start fudging the cabinets. Too much time and effort went into building and installing them. Just get the correct sink and be done with it. Trying to make a larger sink fit into a smaller opening not doing things the right way. You know it's wrong!
Agreed. So it's a couple hour drive. Probably gonna take a heckuva lot longer than that to fudge-up the counters to make the too-big one fit. The less fudging, the much better.
Calm down, His Girl is freaking out he's telling her something to calm her down. Tomorrow on her own she will come to the conclusion she want's the 33" and feel good about it cause her dad didn't have to do all the extra work.
He's not fudging on a critical structural part of the kitchen. He's just making an Avery slight adjustment to the aesthetic placement of the cabinetry. Will not be noticed . Architects "fudge" blueprints all the time. 3 more inches to the sink could be a game changer for someone that uses the sink often. Country folk uses the sink often.
Jeff, I appreciate how you treat your daughter. You treat her with such love and respect. Hannah is lucky to have you. Thanks for the video. I am enjoying watching you build this fabulous house for Hannah.
I agree. I'd sell the 36 on Facebook or something to recover most of the funds. The sink kissing 💋 the dishwasher is a definite no go to me. Even someone "not in the know" will tilt their head lookin at that. Not a good reflection on a craftsman maybe it's just me.( long time finish Carpenter)
Just clear coat. You can't improve perfection!! That has got to be the most beautiful home I've ever seen from start to finish. The character and craftsmanship is unreal!! If i went with any stain at all it would be something real light just highlight the grain in the wood. That house is coming together absolutely gorgeous 😍🥰😍
That bench between the cabinets is cool...This is by far the most top notched awesome craftmanship that one could lay eyes using timber from your property and repurpose of materials. Daddy Jeff knows how to get things done for his girl.
Definitely clear coat the doors. Option on wall in the bathroom is to antique finish it. Solid color of choice either forest green, dark grey like the cabinets or go crazy and think about a burnt red color as the base color then white stain on top of the color of choice then random sand it to bring out the solid color. Money is in the details and your choices are inspirational
First its great to see you Jeff walking, talking, and looking good brother after that nasty deer stand fall. Second I am SUPER jealous of that house. It is looking great. LOVE to tall ceilings, and wood finishes. I built my 16'x24' tiny house 12yrs ago and every year I do one house project and I have added a screened in porch, carport, fire pit awning, shed, courtyard fence, and a bedroom, then converted my old bedroom to a wash/utility/linen/pantry. This years project is to double my screened in porch, next year is a 20'x20' covered outdoor kitchen, then last a 15'x15' mediation/herb garden with lattice roof for semi-shade with raised planter boxes on all 4 walls with water feature for that bubbling sound to take a nap to in my hammock. My screened in porch will have a shower with 6'x6' plastic deck board floor with metal sheets angled underneath to collect the shower water to a P-trap to connect to the house drain lines. I will also put a heated, jetted, free standing tub in my screened in porch since it will be 16'x24' so plenty of room after I put it 2' off both walls in the back corner facing the backyard which as no neighbhor and only sugar cane and swamp views. I love seeing others designs because I am always looking for ideas for my next project. Like I said Jeff it is great seeing you out and about moving and doing good bro. Later, oh and Hannah thanks for all the videos love seeing an outdoors person enjoy living life.
This house is going to be a dream house for sure! Thank you papa Jeff for showing us the journey of Hannah's house. I can't wait to see more future videos on her channel and yours of the house progress
It has been incredible to simply watch this project progress, so it must be so enriching for you both to be actually building it together. Thanks so much for sharing this journey-it's inspiring! I've only ever worked on masonry and RC concrete homes here in the UK, but one day I'd love to head to the US or Canada to frame a house 🇬🇧🇺🇸🙏🏼❤🔥💪🏼
Absolutely beautiful counter tops and woodwork. LOVE natural wood! Awesome build as always. You, my man, are the goat of building and actually anything you do!
I would get the proper fitting sink versus getting everything all out of alignment and not uniform! Just clear coat the natural wood, and put up logs for your siding and you will have a masterpiece of a housey! Cheers mates)
Im loving that kitchen! I have 6 all wood cabins and have been in the construction business for the past 45 years. You are so right about the polly turning wood yellow. The first job i used it on was 150 year old re purposed heart pine and it is now orange. Beautiful job!
Starting to go from looking like a house to looking like a home ! Well done. Good to see you're moving around no problem Jeff ! Hope the healing up is going well ! DON'T overdo anything yet !
If you can improvise, there is nothing like a dilemma. And you sir, definitly know how to fix this! I found a lot of inspiration on your channel how to fix or build stuff at my own house. So, thank you for your content! Btw, I would clear coat the doors. It will give a nice contrast to the gray of the kitchen. PS: Everytime Merle Haggard is running on my playlist, I have to think about your dog. (which even looks bit better for me, than Haggard 😊)
If you're looking for a Polyurethane finish for your furniture that doesn't yellow, use the Helmsman Water Based Polyurethane. It stays crystal clear like the Polycrylic finish and won't yellow like the regular poly. Also, it is an interior/exterior finish so can be used outside as well.
We need to send Hannah to the Supreme Court. They have forgotten what a "Real Woman" is. And in congress, when they ask a contestant what is a woman, they can have Hannah to walk out and be their example. And she can be the example for other women to look up to when they forget what a woman is.
Hannah, your facial expression is good for the situation. Merle is a funny dog. Your dad looks like he is healing. My prayers helped along with everyone's.
Hey Hannah, love the cabin! So glad to see your dad back up and at it. I haven't watched in a while and this is the first video I've seen with him back up and at it.
You can never go wrong with the natural wood look! I would just klear kote! Everything is coming along nicely! Good to see Jeff without the collar! Y’all stay safe!
Jeff and Hannah both, are worth the watch. We need more women like her personality and attitude to enjoy watching in here. Thanks for the update too, the house is looking good, and I find the kitchen cabinets kind of cool. Am retired cabinet maker
What a wonderful Dad you have Hannah. Mine (and I'm 51 year old tech founder/executive) still just yells at me. Ha! ;) House looks awesome! Love all the wood work. wonderful..
I love the whole idea of that chandelier. Very very very cool. Love the oxen yoke which keeps it up too. I think I am going to have to take a screenshot of that, and keep it for my own place.

@Technics19 and if she doesn't he'll do the work happily and it will be fine.

yup, then put the 36 outside at the fish cleaning station
I agree, Jeff. I prefer the natural look, without stain. That house is magnificent.
Stain the doors to match the trim around them. The unstained doors don't look good next to the dark trim!!!
@@johnl-cz2qgCountertop needs moisture protection, glass or plexiglass.
The Natural look to match Hannah....natural beauty!
Simply magnificent!!! Couldn't be more magnificent!!! Never seen such magnificence
I vote NO STAIN - that natural wood is beautiful and fits the aesthetic of the house well. Damn Jeff you are a very talented builder - well done sir
Jeff, I totally agree with you. Clearcoat only. That's some beautiful wood.
Jeff, I appreciate how you treat your daughter. You treat her with such love and respect. Hannah is lucky to have you.
Thanks for the video. I am enjoying watching you build this fabulous house for Hannah.
For Hannah or WITH Hannah??
@@ronallen6578 no harm meant by that, no need to start useless drama.
@@geoffrey6000 Just asking. Relax
I know it sucks but just spend the money and special order a 33 inch sink ...just my opinion...the house is looking great
Agree. Return the 36" sink, or save it for another project. "Fudging " something will haunt you forever.
Yeah really, it's not like money is a problem for them.
I'd be tempted to build a 36 inch cabinet

Leave it all natural and just clear it. That's a beautiful home with lots of character.
Jeff you have come a long way in a short period of time. Nice to see.
The interior is looking amazing. 👌 👏 👏 🏆
Hannah , there’s no worry about it. Your dad can figure it out. Guaranteed that for sure.
Just clear coat. You can't improve perfection!! That has got to be the most beautiful home I've ever seen from start to finish. The character and craftsmanship is unreal!! I am speechless! You have done well for your daughter, Sir! Appreciate y’all!
That's a priceless home, GOD BLESS You Jeff, Hannah Amen
There ain’t no rush. Best to take the 2 hours to go get the sink it was built for. Just enjoy the ride. No big thing.
Exactly. Otherwise, every time you open one of those drawers, you'll be reminded of the "mistake". Time can fix this. Invest the time to exchange.
That bench between the cabinets is cool...This is by far the most top notched awesome craftmanship that one could lay eyes using timber from your property and repurpose of materials. Daddy Jeff knows how to get things done for his girl.
Don’t sweat the small stuff it an amazing build. America needs more families like you all. Live the channels.
I'm so glad you're back on your feet Jeff. You really got the house looking great. Got Bless y'all

Leave all the woodwork natural and clear coat as a contrast but it’s looking lovely you is one lucky lady, well done Jeff

Clear coat f.t.w., Jeff, it's a compliment to the beautiful wood and it always has a bright and cheerful look to it.
