    The variety of transit infrastructure is what I miss in SF, you have subways, streetcars, tunnels through mountains, BART viaducts, underground passes, and soon a new tunnel to the train station at the SalesForce Transit center. I live in Switzerland and yes the transit is varied but in my city of Basel they only have trams, and it’s all street running, no tunnels or viaducts, just some dedicated lanes and some decent stations. Pretty green and yellow trams though.

      Yeah I don't know about "soon", San Francisco still needs to come up with close to 3 billion to get the project started, for something projected to cost 6.7 billion, and that's if they start today, "tomorrow" it may be double that amount. I get the convenience factor of it, but honestly local express bus service from the 4th street station to Salesforce is the most economical way to do it. Because not only do they need to underground from the 4th street station, they need to make the 4th street station underground because there's a huge building across the street from it so they can't go underground after the station.

    Welcome back to The Golden State! It's too bad that the new Stadler KISS is still not in operation yet for Caltrain and you didn't got a chance to ride it! Oh well, at least there are some FLIRT train running for some agencies. The European trains are way better than America's but I think they both have something special in common. LOL

      I'm looking forward to ride the new Caltrain's KISS train soon.

      @@TransitBaySF If memory serves they will do a soft launch over the summer. So some regular trains will be replaced with the Stadler KISS trains even before they change their schedule to 15 minute frequencies in September!

    There are few SF Muni routes that serve the Daly City BART station at the northernmost end of San Mateo County

    • @TohaBgood2
      @TohaBgood2 7 місяців тому +1

      Most of the Muni Metro routes connect to BART at Balboa Park instead of Daly City. Muni is an SF-only service. They don't cross the border into Daly City.

    Is it just me or is the screen hella bright

    • @poultrypants
      @poultrypants 26 днів тому

      Yes me too 😂 it is because this video is HDR (high dynamic range) it basically means the bright parts of the video (highlights) can get brighter, while the shadows stay just as dark. But this results in a significantly brighter overall picture. This effect will only happen if you are watching on a screen compatible with HDR, which you likely are if you can see the effect

    i dont think it would be a bad idea to phase out the ferries to another building and make the ferry building SFs very own train station

      Lol, that's just right wing propaganda. SF's population started growing again already in 2021. The tourist visits are also back to pre-pandemic levels. Work from home is here to stay, so SOMA and FiDi are emptier during the day. But nightlife in downtown is actually above pre-pandemic.
      Don't believe everything you see online. Most of it is bullshyt.
