Nah in German you stick them together, same in Dutch. It's a rule in these languages that you can just do that if you want. Philip was talking about something completely different, when people only take a part of each word and stick those together. This is normally against the rules.
@@jonasba2764 In other words Phillip means portmanteaus while the OP refers to compounds.
once we played with some Poles and from that day everything on mirage is "Kuchnia"
“Where is kitchen” Kitchen is where comrades peel potatoes.

3kliksphilip: Diggity
Me (An Australian): That is the first time I’ve heard of this callout
Ah yes, the gay spot. It's on every map
And everywhere
I, as a non homophobic intellectual, prefer "noob corner".
@@laggybear829 i like gay spot tbh. it's way funnier than noob corner
@@SmolJordan I play in EU and use "sandwich", "ninja" and "noob corner" for 3 specific gay spots.
@@laggybear829 sandwich and ninja are legit callouts tho, gay spot is just shorthand for a spot that i dont like getting killed from that i might not immediately have a name for lol.
The callout "kitchen" is like the weapon name "scout". Neither of those are officially in CSGO, but some people still use them because of 1.6.
kitchen = market
scout = ssg 08
There are a lot more callouts that come from older versions of CS and aren't officially in game. You still should understand some of them.
I would say scout 11/10 times
kitchen refers to the mirage, you can say "they ktichen" and your team will know they are in mirage
best call out is “dont peak” and thats cap
one of the strangest callouts i'v heard was on dust2 where you exit tunnel in b, on the left, call it canal or sewer cuz it have like few inch sewer grill on the ground, like what?
"i haven't memorized most locations"
me when trying to call out an enemy: he's under that room near the sniper's nest!

Umm, yeah, Britain will have to actually learn metric first ;)
I'm brasilian, I speak american english and I use the metric system...
for what I understand there's a lot of people that speaks english around the world and a lot of people using the metric system... his ideal world might be closer than he thinks
The "gay spots" in Brazilian Counter-Strike are called "newba", which is a corruption of "newbie", meant obviously to insult anyone who hides in there. In Mirage A site, it refers specifically to that spot on the right, where there are 2 boxes that box you in.
Mathy are you talking about firebox (hiding in the two boxes) or ninja (right next to the two boxes in that tiny little cubby)?
@@macalisternewby5679 firebox. The ninja one we call It ninja too.
In french we say coin pute. Coin means corner and you know what pute means.
That's called ninja macaco
I have always called shop kitchen. Most players I know either call it market or kitchen but the majority definitely calls it kitchen. I’ve actually never encountered any misunderstanding with this market/kitchen thing. Everyone I play with understands either callout, like triple or firebox on A site.
"Most of them are dead"

what a coincidence, its on my house too!
"There might still be weird dialects in far-out places like the rainforest and Cornwall" yeah that fucking got me
4:35 or even worse the french. ok that was funny.
“Ultimately I think language will all merge into one, there might still be weird dialects in far out places like the rainforests or Cornwall...”
Everybody calls Shop Kitchen!
The Spot between Stairs and Tetris is called Sandwich!
Aps is called aps!
Also NOBODY calls Window Snipers Nest!
I actually hear 'Snipers Nest' used a lot here in NA, and having come from EU a lot of their call-out's are very different which can be confusing :)
"Kitchen" is where the kitchen is, "Aps" is short for apartments so either is fine, and "window" is a sniper's nest.
I allways say Snipers Nest
Are you NA or EU?
Thats true for the EU, at least.
Ive stopped playing CS a while ago and I still remember Market as Kitchen.
True
Came for callouts, stayed for English lessons
I started saying "Zed" because "Zee" sounds too much like "C" especially over phone/voip/ingame.
Once my teammate called out Kitchen but I didn't know where he was talking about. Luckily, right before the unseen enemy shot me, Nigel Books came to my rescue and killed the whole enemy team. He then rushed into them every single round and killed them all. Thanks, Nigel Books!

The spot "Kitchen/Apartments" on Mirage is called "Bänger" anyway
"gay spot" is called "Bohlen"
only in the german scene i think tho

As an NA guy who's been playing for only a couple years, i've never heard anyone refer to "market"(shop i guess) as kitchen, its always been the room in apts with the stove. That's wicked lol.
On A site on train the only call out my friend will hear from me is “he’s at the train”
Fine, let's rename everything to diggity. I guarantee that everyone will be able to remember the new names for spots really fast!

One thing I will say to speak to the topic:
In NA I am surprised how Palace is called halls or "A Halls" by so many people.
Also none of this matters bc valve is going to take this map out and remake it, putting sandwich next to kitchen, where it was meant to be
People in Eu call the "shop" Kitchen, and people in NA call it market. It just basically has 2 callouts depending on region 🤷🏻♂️
No russians call it kitchen and everyone else call it shop/market
