One of the most beautiful pieces of music within a piece of music ever written. Brings ecstatic joy!
Wow, the soloist is sehr gut!!!!!
Hyesu Kim
Desmond P T it is wonderful!
i should have come straight here thnks!!!!
Absolutely breathtaking! The flute solo was especially beautiful
great composer, great musicians and great conductor make this performance just perfect.
Camera team once again delivers a near-perfect example of NOT having the attention in the right place at the right time.
They aim to please
Lol
amen. totally missed the flutey flares and the trumpet's tempest.
I believe Beethoven called for an off-stage trumpet, which would explain why he's not seen@@mckeesk
Some of the most memorable concerts I've ever heard have been where exceptionally talented, very young musicians, playing exceptionally great music; there's just nothing better! Have to add this one to my list.
One of the best performances of this work I have ever heard.
I agree. As good as any world orchestra!
Ridiculously good, amazingly, perfect recording!
Not sure if it's the best performance l have heard but it is pretty good Bernstein's 1976 with the berverien orchestra is the best l have ever heard played of this amazing peace by Beethoven.
Before his career at FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried was first chair flute.
Wonderful- played with both finesse and passion. How wonderful it is to see and hear all these youthful artists. Thanks to all and best wishes from Ireland.
Devastating without being over the top. A performance worthy of the music.
2:40 1st flute solo
A wonderful performance of a thrilling overture. Thank you.
I’m proud that Beethoven use my name for a song 👍
That is so cool.
9:37 flute solo 😍😘
A fabulous performance of this exciting overture.
Sin palabras estas sinfonías. ¡ que genios! se disfruta mucho gracias Carmen
Bravo HfM Weimar...fantastisch !!!
Yes! The best! Up until now the Claudio Abbado with Berlin SO was my favorite, then the performance with Auckland SO. But this has surpassed those. The whole orchestra was so balanced, the tempo was so right! And of course the soloists. Trumpet, french horns so perfect. And the flutist! Nailed it!! Especially the double tongue-ing, I think it's called. This conductor is a master at his craft!!
If this orchestra ever comes to USA let me know.
i havn't seen the score but they were super off at 10:12 were they not?
@@gcg8187 it sounded fine to me. The phrase doesn't go the way you think it would go. But that's Beethoven, always surprising us. Anyway that's my opinion but I'm not a music major or anything like that
Bravissimo !
Another fine example of the mastery and genius of L.Von Beethoven! One tends to transcend into a different world.
Great description !! So true! LVB, his music transports me
Bravo! As good a rendition as ever I've heard!
All such talented musicians!!!
Fantástica dirección e increíble orquesta y bellísimas señoritas wouuuuuuu!
8:08 Trumpet Solo
Fantastic performance bravo
From the first note.........a thoughtful and deliberate interpretation.
I agree with another opinion I read. Although Mozart is my favorite composer, his effortless genius was always on display. Composing a masterpiece was nothing to him. He could do it making a sandwich in the kitchen. But Beethoven.......you can feel the painstaking effort he put into every aspect of his music. It's as if he was ever searching for perfection, but it always managed to elude him, in his mind.
Thath iş another Beethoven" s vonderful music.Thank you.
Wonderfully well done - as good as any class "A" orchestra. This Franz Liszt Academy orchestra is truly astounding. Jolly good show all around.

Some Beautys on Stage !!
This is ludicrously electric and upbeat! SOUNDS absolutely mindblown using my new high end speakers!!!
fabuloso.
Regalo de la vida mía, Gracias
Mind blown again, love the horns especially at about 13:16
Wirklich erstaunlich gut für ein Studentenorchester. Hut ab und Bravo !!!!
Greetings and congratulations from Lima (Sat22 / V / 2021) -Perú-América.
MERAVIGLIOSI TUTTI, COMPLIMENTI VIVISSIMI 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏Cordiali saluti, Anna e Luigi
Impecable
There is one Tristan e isolda Great masterpiece 0f wsgner and there is another masterpiece that is Leonora of bethoven that together this 2 masterpiece are the most greatest and beautiful of the history of classic music ! And this orchestra is the best for to interpretate Leonora!a incredible orchestra from Weimar !♥️♥️💜🌹🌹🌹🤩♥️♥️♥️♥️
Excellent sound engineering.

As we say in Nigeria "The young shall grow" The future is bright with wonderful continuity!
So good to see a Nigerian who appreciates classical music. It’s my drug.
Better in some respects than more notable powerhouse orchestras and conductors.....nice!
Masterful interpretation of this majestic work of the genius of Bonn!
And over here 28 grandchildren of ignorance, children of vulgarity, parents of decadence ...
That's Great!
WOW!
Bravissimi
8:08 trumpet solo! 😍
Grüße und Glückwünsche aus Lima (Samstag 22 / V / 2021) -Perú-América.

10:20 the look on the conductor's face 🤗
Beethoven this orchestra and all the girls that are playin are beatiful!
I want to love one girl of this orchestra!
Wow!!!!!
E a ópera é bem aquém da abertura.
waveform update.😍🥰😇
08:10 - where did they put the off-stage trumpeter? (There's a lovely story that at a performance in the Albert Hall in London, the trumpeter was up in the top gallery. When he started, a hall attendant, who obviously didn't know the piece, though he was trying to gatecrash the concert and tried to throw him out.)
Pirmā satikšanās ar šo muziku notika sen atpakaļ, vēl plašu ēras laikā.Tieši Leonaras (Eleonoras) uvertīras atskaņojuma laikā. Mīlestība uz klasisko muziku uz visiem laikiem. Paldies no Latvijas.
Start at 0:34.

I would like to know the name of the flutist. Does someone know it?
Cool name, Ludwig Amadeus

Who did the trumpet call?
Good question, that was awesome
some wacky tuning at the subito piano at the start but overall a good performance
K
Great performance but a disappointingly hesitant audience response.
I agree, they should have roared with enthusiasm. I think it goes to show they are not familiar with the piece. They weren't sure that it has ended
Remedando a Nietzsche:
Una vida sin Beethoven es un error.
The conductor looks like Christopher Waltz :D
Baynes! BAYNES!!!!
Wonderful performance by this youth orchestra but the camera work gets an "F" for focusing on this one female violinist about every minute and, other than about 4 seconds on the three male French Horn players, boys were non-existent. He or she also ignored the soloists--when the trumpet player went solo, we never saw him, no it was the girl we saw for about the 50th time. Bad camera work.
Haha agree
Totally agree. Also completely ignored the mighty drum roll at the end.
Because the trumpet solo is played off-stage or most probably backstage. He/she is not on the stage. So …
In the end the orchestra started staring at Pasquet as in 'what the hell is he doing?'
Really good performance by orchestra and conductor. But not such a great performance by the videographers. The vid people ignored most instrumental sections except the flute and strings. Most unforgivable was not cutting to a close up of the timpani at the mighty rolls at the end.
Nobody gets a pause to catch his breath when it's Beethoven. As operas go, "Fidelio" is pretty average, but not this overture.
That ending... Soooooo slow.
Leider! Das ist schwach .... Schade!
