The people of this war-ravaged part of the world went through thick and thin in life though it looks like such kinds of suffering have just begun. If this country had really been blessed with genuine, caring, and loving leaders, some of these plights would not have gone beyond repair just like the one in question here before an intervention. Just like the genocide that consumed the whole of Rwanda in less than 100 days in 1994, and under the watch of the UN delegations, I am also wondering why the outside world drew a blind eye to this very conflict, and yet all these did not occur just overnight. Though it is very painful to look back at history, it is equally important to refresh our memories of such occurrences to allow us to get prepared should an occasion of this nature presents itself in due course. I think we shouldn't be reminding people of the previous war. Some people cannot move on to the future when we put this back on their minds. Even if Ongwen did this, I blame it on LRA. All these are sad, really sad. This is too sensitive to the point that you should put a disclaimer or a warning at the intro so that when someone want to proceed to watch, they do it knowing it is a sensitive matter
Like you and others, I find it very hard to comprehend how the northerners including me went through such a troubling time. The LRA came into existence because of their discontent too, however, the unfortunate thing is that they did involve the civilian population in a conflict that was not their making. I forgot, though only for a while but again, this video pricked the old wound that is not yet properly healed. Some of the perpetrators of this crime do not accept justice in the restorative form in the first place although they say there is time for everything...
