When changing the oil in the automatic transmission (DSG), the car must be level, not tilted in any direction. When you warm up the gearbox, you can advantageously drive on R / D (with your foot on the brake) When the oil level is adjusted, the engine should be on and the car level .

Thanks for the video! I used it to change my oil as well and I also had to put 3.1 liter in it. Just have one question. What should the optimal oil pressure for the gearbox? Mine fluctuates between 20 and 28 bar on the highway driving 90-100km/h and the oil temp is 41 celsius. Do you happen to know what it should be?

When the car is stationary, normal is 28 bars of pressure, I don't know when you drive it the value of pressure... sorry...

I visited the offical Audi service few months ago to do a 7 speed s tronic transmission service (oil and filter) for a4 b9 2016. and they replaced the oil.
I asked if filter is replaced and they told me that it is not needed.
Is this correct, and what should i do?
Btw. everything works fine in this moment with the transmission.

You did it wrong, you should check the oil level by opening the filling screw, while the engine is running. You fill the oil as you did in the beginning, you can start with 3l. Then you start the car wait for the temp of the AT oil to be between 25-45c,then open the filling screw and some oil should drip out of the AT. If there is no oil dripping, you should add some oil while the engine is running by the pump, then unscrew it and check it if it s leaking some oil from there. If yes wait until it’s all drained and then close the filling hole. The filling hole act as control hole as well. While the engine is running the oil is in the system and will not leak through the filling hole, when the oil level is OK. When you turn of the engine the AT will stop spinning and the oil will drain from the system to the bottom(oil pan) of the AT and some oil will drain from the AT. Hope it helps, was doing it just yesterday.

TLDR; Good video, proper procedure :)
Sorry, normally I just lurk, but he performed the drain and fill correctly. This is a DSG transmission, where there is an automatic and manual portion. In order to properly drain the AT portion fluid, you perform the functions within VCDS or other appropriate scan tool to drain the hydraulic pressure reservoir. You then remove the lower drain plug. After fluid has drained, you then reinstall the lower drain plug and remove the upper fill/inspection plug and fill the vehicle with 3.5L exactly of fluid. Then you refill the hydraulic pressure reservoir with VCDS. You should then check the fluid level, which is done using the scan tool and the "checking" function. This operation is very similar to what you have described, but you're just a skosh off with your numbers :)
What you're talking about is accurate for most automatic transmissions, sure. Vehicle running, remove inspection port, Audi/VW spec. states "The ATF level is correct if a small amount of fluid drips out of the inspection and fill opening (this is normal as the fluid expands as it heats up) at an ATF temperature between 35 ° and 45 °C (113 °F)" for this particular vehicle/transmission. At that point, you shut the vehicle off, access and open the drain plug on the transmission and allow all fluid to evacuate. Then, you reinstall the drain plug, usually filling (as you said) with 3L of fluid to start, starting the vehicle with the brakes held firmly and the parking brake engaged and cycling through PRNDL for about 30-60 seconds each. Some vehicles require you to elevate the engine RPM to 3000rpm for 60 seconds as well. At this time, and when the ATF reaches between 35*C and 45*c, you check to see if ATF leaks out of the inspection/fill plug. If it does, allow it to slow to a dribble and then reinstall the inspection/fill plug. If it does not, top-up with fluid until it does.

If I understood correctly, I fill up 3L, wait for the ATF temperature to be between 25-45 degrees. Then I unscrew the filler plug and when the car is running, if necessary, fill it up until the top runs out? When the top of the oil runs out through the filler plug, is the process finished? I activate it with obd11 oil pressure reservoir and is it finished?
What's with the oil drain plug on the oil panit is only for draining the oil , I don't touch it anymore?
      Thanks for the reply
