I don’t hate this mix, but I have some advice to share to you. 1. Try to stray away from using all seven polos in the beginning, as you’ll be trapped in a situation where you don’t know who to remove. 2. If you’re gonna use a vocalist in the opening, just use him directly at the start, maybe with one beat next to it, it makes him feel more natural in the flow of the mix. 3. If you just removed a polo not too long ago, try to switch it up by using a different polo in their section, this will make the mix sound less repetitive overall. 4. Using a polo for almost the entirety of a mix usually isn’t a good idea unless it’s a bass, kick, or windup, again, this is just to make the mix sound less repetitive overall. You have my blessing my friend, keep on mixing, and keep on improving, yeah?
TIL About Polos... I usually aim for 6-7 polos near 1 min mark, just so for the high part of the mix, but this one I did use too much when I could've done only 5 then remove the starting vocalist (that was originally my idea, but I just let my emotions take over and ended up merging, making the 2nd part repetitive lol) Alright, noted with those advices!
