I just finished cutting my hair with this tutorial. I took a before and after to see if I would notice a difference.... more even and round!!! I love it!!! Thanks a million!!!!

Proprio oggi mi sono venute 2 bambine afro in negozio da me . Peccato non aver visto il video prima . Non mi capita spesso di fare questi tipi di capelli . Taglio bellissimo!
When the hair is dry you can cut a guide where you want to see the length. I usually cut curly hair dry. When i cut wet i do usually place a guide when the hair is dry
LOVE THIS TUTORIAL!!! Where do you purchase your mannequins and what brand of mannequins do you use/prefer? Thanks for sharing Sir James!!! ❤️ ~ APRIL LIPKE
Hey April, this mannequin is a pivot point mannequin. I like them as they have a very versatile range of hair textures. They are also on the more eco side of production. Im so glad you like this tutorial.
Wow, thank you.. ive just watched your layered bob one too. Loved the both. I don't know if this is a daft question, but ive got naturally wavy/curly hair. Im of white ethnicity so my hair is not as strong tight curl, but is this style possible for myself? Im gonna talk to my hairdresser to see whats best but im tempted to try this style because im almost there already as its fairly untameable :)
Hey! you are most welcome. This haircut is perfect for all wavy and curly hair textures. I recommend celebrating your natural texture, increase the volume and movement. It will change your life.
Aww thank youuuu :) It's a pity I don't live in Australia and I could have asked yourself for the transformation :) But Im grateful for your lovely advice and kindness! I wonder if its hard to grow out if I go for it and decide to grow it downwards ;) ish :) hehe, as my curls tend to do whatever they like! ;) hehe
Yes cutting dry is a much better way of cutting curly textured hair, how ever it's not the only way to create great curly shapes. No haircut will be the same lengths, as our hair growth grows in different stages. And hair follicle elasticity is very different.
Sometimes it looks like he is cutting the sections perpendicular to the head and sometimes it looks like he is cutting parallel to the head… can someone clarify that for me? Beautiful shape! I want to try it on myself
Hey Tanya, the cutting angle follows the curvature of the sections and is elevated straight out from the head shape. Following a curved sectioning pattern and also cutting round elevation. This is why it appears to change
Thank you. I am not educated in hair styling, unfortunately… but I’ll watch very closely until I feel confident. My hair is not like hers, but I think I can see how it would look with my texture 💕 the only part that may be troublesome working on my own head would be that last zone
@@TanyaClair Hey Tanya, i love your interest in cutting hair. This haircut works for all hair textures, even straight. In the back you could take pony tail sections to make it easier for you to cut. The shape will be a little different, however it will look great.
@@HairByJamesAnnabel well, tonight I tried my best to execute this cut on myself. I have not had a haircut in YEARS because it is so difficult to find anyone who cuts textured hair well , and I have a certain vibe and look I’m reaching for. My hair has changed drastically through some extremely stressful years in addition to approaching menopause… I lost a lot of it. And then it began growing back, but it is not as thick or as course as it once was. It had gotten so long that the curl was being pulled out of it and it was always in my face which I find very irritating so it would end up in a bun which had caused some severe scalp discomfort and isn’t good for the curls or my hairline… and I also want to be able to enjoy wearing my hair down and free… I spent literally HOURS! I did it dry… what a HUGE project wrangling all that crazy brushed out red hair!!! …And I’m sure I didn’t do it perfectly, but if I do say so myself, and thanks to your lovely tutorial, it looks wonderful! My curls are so happy and bouncy and it’s got shape and life again! I wish I could upload a pic for you! I really needed a change, to feel better in my skin, to feel less bedraggled, and this was just what I needed to do that for myself. I cannot express how much better I feel about myself, so, thanks a million for that!
I am going to take this haircut to a hairdresser in Byron bay and show them and see if they can cut this style. My hair needs to grow for awhile yet but it is exactly what I am after. Can't wait to see what they say ❤️🧑🦰🇹🇦
You must of lived at the industrial estate l loved going there. I used to get my hair cut at Manik by Merrilyn for years but she doesn't seem to be around anymore . She was an excellent cutter like you are.

Is this a wet or dry cut ? Coz if you cut my hair wet i will have different lengths?
