If it's remote, then it won't allow you to live in Barbados. If you want to live here, then you'd need to apply for a visa that allows you live here like the nomad visa.

We are Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Many expats come here and may obtain work after. This is why they say the law is a fool. It depends on the community you come from and the one you are hoping to be established in. You would be surprised to see how these networks work! But no, non CARICOM nationals can hardly work in a McDonalds here. Are there any McDonalds here? But point taken : remote work and digital nomads are more able than not to stay here at length since they are not working for a local company. But the law is never fixed in practice. A reality worldwide. However it makes perfect sense to know the environment you plan to come to and have options open.

If you are highly qualified you can often find a job in finance in Barbados....from medium to large companies. As you said the medical field is always open.....I.T and engineering is a definite NO almost lol.......

Africa are bigger and richer. You talk about talking about coming to the Caribbean . We in the Caribbean have limited resources for the citizen while Africa is large and has alot of resources. Why not say come to places like Nigeria to work and promote Africa? Its a shame thst people from the Caribbean cant go to Nigeria to work. We should be looking to Africa for work and resources instead you look to us. Finally try to promote your country in Africa

This is silly. You would not say this to someone from Europe so why say this to her? Nothing wrong with Africans moving to the Caribbean. Having skilled workers benefits your country. No one is “taking resources”
