Were they nice and soft
Hi
I just wanna let you know that I save this video and come back to it every year because this recipe always hits every time. Thank you for Christmas classic!!
Thank you!!! Tried this recipe both with gluten and gluten-free flour, got slightly different results but both batches were delicious. This will now be my go-to recipe :)
Made these today and boy. They’re better than store bought! Thank you for your amazing recipe
Im going to try them! Did you just bake for 5mins? Did they turn out soft?
Thank you so much Elvina! Im really glad you liked them and homemade will always beat store bought hehe ☺️
@@erin227 hey Erin! The baking time will be different depending on how thin or thick you roll out the dough. Also depends if you like it soft or crispy. If you roll it to about the same thickness as the video, 5mins should do. If you like your cookies soft, they will still be really soft when coming out of the oven but will harden a little once cooled. Its always better to take it out earlier than to bake for too long, worse case scenario just pop it back in the oven for a couple more minutes 😊
@@CupofB bake at what temp?
This is simply the best recipe I made in my life from Brazil 🇧🇷

If I don't have molasses what can be used as substitute
Thanks for the video! Hi what if I can't find molasses, what can I use for a substitute?
Is there an alternative to molasses? It’s really hard to find them where I live
I love this recipe thank you so much
Hola la manteca es con salt 🧂 o no salt 🧂?
Bonjour,
Merci pour cette recette. 😘😘😘
Peut-on utiliser cette pâte pour réaliser une maison pain d’épices ?
Oui
For icing can we add rose water instead of milk
What's the point to put baking soda?
I'm just curious if I can skip it
The baking soda will make the cookies softer and fluffier so I would recommend using it 😊
Hi I am planning to make this recipe can you leave the cookie dough over night.
looks good
I don’t know why but my orignal batter of butter, brown sugar and molasses never whipped up like that… Did I do something wrong? I was using a thermomix which could have been why but I don’t think that should change it.
Mashallah! 😍😋👌
😊
Can I use a hand mixer? It doesnt have a paddle though? I don’t have a stand mixer 😩 Wanna try this with my kids! ❤️
Hi Jessica! No problem at all, you can do it without a mixer. For the butter+sugar+molasses+egg step, use a whisk and whisk it really well until you have a lighter color and its fluffier. Then, to incorporate the dry ingredients, use a rubber spatula but don’t over mix it! Hope this helps and that you and your kids have a good time making it, let me know if you have any more questions ☺️
Question : Do i need to bake again after i put the icing sugar? I never try to made this before, so thank you for the answer.
Non pas de cuisson après avoir mis le sucre glace.
Les biscuits vont sécher ainsi.
Deu água na boca!
Que bom que gostou (:
Hi can I use baking powder instead of baking soda? It's so hard to get baking soda
Do I turn the oven up and down or just down ?
What can be a substitute for molasses?
Can we ignore adding molasses?
Is there an alternative to corn syrup? Valerie.
Can I put food coloring to the icing?
Yes, you absolutely can! 😊
Yummm
Thanks!!
👌wow looks amazing ❤️ delicious recipe 👍 thanks for sharing 😀 I am your new friend 🙋🏻♀️ stay connected plz for new and delicious recipe ❤️❤️❤️
Which floor u r using
Very good!
Glad you think so!
can you please write the recipe in grams? I'm from Romania and I don't know how to use the weights in the clip. thanks!
Of course 😊 Here it is:
35g Butter, room temperature
15g Brown Sugar
57g Molasses
1 pc Egg
136g Flour
1g Baking Soda
Pinch Salt
3g Ginger
3g Cinnamon
1g Cloves, ground
@@CupofB Good receipt. Thanks for sharing, but this convertion could not be correct.
Gostaria essa receita em português
Atenção que julgo que a conversão para gramas não está correta (é só fazer um teste prático)
Very nice.
Thank you! 😊
powdered sugar 1/2 cup , milk 1 tbspoon ,corn syrup 1 tbspoon
If you don't have a mixer? By hand will suffice, right?
of course
Yes, absolutely! You can just use a whisk for the beginning of the recipe and once you add the dry ingredients, use a spatula to incorporate it 😊
I can't find molasses,any replacement?
You can make your own. There are plenty of homemade recipes around here. That's how I made mine😊
Can you substitute molasses for golden syrup?
Yes I think that that would be fine
Can you give the recipe in gram? Tq
Self rising flour use that and u can skip the baking soda and salt step
Substitute for the corn syrup??
Hey Lubeina, you could try honey! 😊
Can I do the icing without corn syrup?
Probably not
Yes! you don't have to use corn syrup, just the milk and powdered sugar is fine. I never used corn syrup before. and my icing comes out perfect.
@@sweetdreams5072 thank you so much😊
I'm in the process of trying your recipe out and I'm having problems with the measurements. I'm from Poland so I don't use the idea of cup and half a teaspoon, only if it's a family recipe made by me and not being shared. Cups and other cups may look the same but have different capacity. Same idea with spoons. Could you please give me the measurements but in grams? I tried to look up a cup of flour but I got several different results for all purpose flour - 120 grams, 150 grams. I actually tried to weigh my cup of flour (the one that I use for most of overseas recipes and holy cow it actually weighed 180 grams. And I did not pack it in, and weighed only the flour itself, not the cup as well (just to be clear). Now I'm pretty sure that my cookies won't come out as great because the dough is much more moist and flowy, even if I had it in the fridge for an hour. It because a bit hard, but not the way yours did.
Hello there! Nice to see someone all the way from Poland interested in my recipe ☺️
Here is the recipe in grams for you, hope it helps! If you have any more questions, ask away!
35g Butter, room temperature
15g Brown Sugar
57g Molasses
1 pc Egg
136g Flour
1g Baking Soda
Pinch Salt
3g Ginger
3g Cinnamon
1g Cloves, ground
@@CupofB wow I really need this too. Could you please put it in the main page so it’s easily for others who have the same problem. It really helps because the cups here are so many different kinds. Love your work!
@@paulasstyletaiwan3286 im glad it helped and i will! Thank you so much ☺️
Are they crispy or soft ?
Chewy
Can I use honey instead of molasses?
Hi Janet, you could it wouldn’t change the texture of the cookie but the color definitely won’t be as dark and the flavour might not have that punch. I’d suggest using molasses if you can 😊
My butter, brown sugar and molasses are really dark, is that normal?
Yes, it will definitely have a darker color than other cookies because of the molasses and brown sugar. You do need to make sure you beat it enough though, the color should be lighter and have a fliffy consistency before you move on to the next step 😊
Hey my fellow chef! New sub here! I recently made candy cane cookies on my page too and your Christmas cookies look amazing!Hope to stay connected! 🥳
Thanks for watching 😊
@@CupofB of course! Can’t wait to see the next recipe from you
Could you please give the measurement in grams
Where is recipe ?
My mixture is really wet?
The dough mixture or icing?
