Completely agree.. Socialism is an continues to be an economic blunder that we are struggling to get away with even today. But secularism is something which we have to definitely hold on to. It's true that the emergency rule will remain as the darkest episode for Indian democracy. But don't you think, given the diverse naure and religiousity of India, separation of state from religion has to be clearly worded in our constitution. Even with it added to our constitution, look at our situation. True, it was not introduced in a democratic way. It is something which should have already been there.
For the emergency, Indira Gandhi had to pay for it dearly, and that was the first episode where congress lost the trust of the Indian people. I have been following Dhruv Rathee for the last two years and I have watched most of his videos. I feel interested in his views on dictatorship, he often discusses the dangers of authoritarianism, the importance of democracy, and the need for accountability in governance. He emphasizes the risks posed by leaders who consolidate power and undermine democratic institutions. Here in Kerala most of the UA-camrs are paid by the fascist establishment and they are creating false propaganda that everything is normal in this country. If we accept or not we are going towards dictatorship. History has shown that many dictatorships eventually collapse or transition to more democratic forms of government. However, the duration of a dictatorship can vary depending on numerous factors such as the level of repression, international pressure, economic conditions, and the effectiveness of opposition movements.
