The first time I ran into this pattern was when I was editing Charlie's Streamer book. I felt like it was an "adult" version of a Woolly Bugger. This pattern has been so effective for me, it should probably be illegal. Great video... AGAIN!
I have a couple variations of this that are absolutely deadly…from wild browns in Arizona to eastern stocky bows. The best one has a metallic, multicolored, iridescent bead (you know those kind you see on Amazon) as opposed to flash in the tail. So it’s sliiiiightly less flashy but still has that colorful hot spot by the head. Early this year I took a holdover bow that was almost steelhead-like on one of those. That’s my single, triumphant, goofball “achievement” in streamer fly tying.
Me too. Slays bass and pan fish. Been using even a smaller hook which hooks up more pan fish without reducing the amount of bass caught. Great fly, and we’ll done video!
Any recommendations on chinelle? I’m a beginner at tying and I’m starting to accumulate materials but I haven’t found any decent chinelle. I either find really small sparce stuff or long shaggy stuff and it just doesn’t match the hooks I want to use. Usually 2-8
Is the Whiting Bugger Pack actually labeled "Rusty Brown" or just brown or orange? I like the color and don't see Rusty Brown as one of their available colors. Thanks!
I live in CO, depends on the place you go, but I always carry zebra midge, blood midge, mysis shrimp and two-bit hooker to name a few. David is also spot on, can’t go wrong with PT, HE, CJ, etc
great video, you have a gift of instructing.
Looks like a dace, creek chub and a sculpin, no wonder it works!! Giving this a tie for sure!

So true. Just tried it this spring/summer from Charlie's book as well, and it's barely left my line since.
Who’s Charlie?
@@amandahammond2691I know I’m 2 years late but Charlie Craven - all time great tyer out of Colorado.
@@josephh957 I had no idea he had a streamer book!

Another great video instruction; many thanks for your work on these.
This is a really nice pairing of colors.
A very attractive fly Tim (to the fish I mean 😳). I’ll try my hand at tying it. Thank you for another one dude. It’s appreciated. 😊😊😊
That's a great pattern, Tim. Thanks for sharing.
👍💪Будем пробовать!!!
I haven’t watched this Chanel in years, I love the vids still man!
Gorgeous !!
Looks like I need to get some more tying supplies, bummer... 😜
I've been using this pattern in a size 10 for lake fishing. It's the bomb! Stripping it like a streamer.
Great timing! This fly is literally on the top of my winter fly tying list. Thanks!
great Woolly Bugger version.. gotta try it!
My all time favorite fly
Nice 👍
I've been waiting for this! Thank you so much Tim! This pattern is so effective and is my only streamer I use
Spring and fall before and after the insect hatches, this pattern rocks.
As I clicked on another quality video from Tim, the splash ad came up for Mint Mobile. Coincidence? I think not. ;)
Love this thanks!
The strawberry blonde is one my favorite bugger variations. It's works well and sometimes, it reminds me of her 😔
Have yet to try these on trout but I been nailing bass up to 4lbs and panfish on this fly.

Is it possible to make a symbiosis of two wooly bugger and clouser minnow flies?
💣
what metal is that wire? stainless steel seems so annoying to bend this looks softer
No fat fly's here. Save the Deer or Caribou Hair Gomphus Dragonfly.
Nice video! I want to tie some nymph's, plan to go up to high mountain lakes next summer in Colorado. Any suggestions for the nymphs I should use.
Hard to go wrong with some hares ear, pheasant tail, and birds nest. Those are my go to nymphs, they work well almost everywhere I fish
I wouldn’t leave home without some midge imitations

Nice fly! Where do you get your marabou?
Grizzly hackle for over the body - even better.
Deadly dead drifted for steelhead on a size 2 jig hook
Покажите как правильно работать с пером марабу у него просто есть стороны как его закреплять чтобы было правильное расположение
I make brighter colors dirty water
😀
