Tyler actually said that he made Wilshire in one sit without even cleaning the sound cause he wanted to preserve the feeling he had
wow
no wonder the mix is horrible
@@iEditorial yeah, it’s intended tho
A good emotion is better than bad mix
@@markehlpetersen1040 eh not really when it comes to music lol listening experience is more important imo but to each their own
one thing you can never take away from Tyler is that his Production is Another level. He's unique, versatile and veryyyy creative. You CANNOT hate on this man, unless u want.. lol. Im not a super fan of him but I do respect him and Love a lottt of his songs. Preciate You Guys for reacting to all our favorite Albums
Sorry but his productions are the worst bruuuuu
@@igorcarvalho3880 😂😂😂
@@Bloomftm tf are you laughing about dude loool lmaooooooooooooo dude just put 400 fucking random sythns in his beats with shitty pattern drums and you find this creative and genius ooh no get the fuck out here looolololloolol
not liking sweet/itywtd is sacrilegious but honestly i always appreciate the honesty lol most reaction channels just hype up everything so i respect it
your dad made a really good point on “hot wind blows” with the heavy jazz and lil wayne blending so well when in theory you wouldn’t think it.
what’s cool is, tyler has previously put lil wayne on jazz-style tracks (smuckers, droppin seeds). tyler even said he loves doing this cuz thats the stuff he wants to hear wayne on... and wayne always brings it. tyler really can curate.
I love that your dad appreciated DJ Drama on this. A lot of reactors not as familiar with rap didn't get him and thought he wasn't necessary but I definitely think he made the album more hip hop instead of pop. I grew up in those days when DJ Drama made all those classic mixtapes with Lil Wayne and other rappers.
On "Manifesto": To really get what Tyler was talking about you gotta listen to his first two albums, "Bastard" & "Goblin". Tyler (& Odd Future as a whole) had alot of... we'll say problematic lyrics back in the day as teenagers and the shock value was a big part of what blew them up as a collective. It got to the point that Tyler & OF got banned from the entire country of New Zealand for their lyrics, so when he says "I was canceled before canceled was with Twitter fingers," he's speaking quite literally & from personal experience. Also Domo Genesis is an OG member of Odd Future so he was there at the time, hence why he's on that track specifically.
YES!! I’ve been wishing for this video 💚
not liking Sweet/itywtd is his fantano moment
Hottest take of 2022 he hit the buzzer beater
fun fact about lumberjack: the backbone of the beat is actually a sample of 2 Cupz of Blood by the Gravediggaz (front-manned by RZA of Wu-Tang if i remember correctly)
This is the first and only full album I heard from him and I was pleasantly surprised the first time I heard it. I loved it
the flutes on sir baudelaire i think is actually an oboe, and its sampled from a billy cobham song called siesta/wake up that westside gunn also sampled. i love billy cobham! amazing jazz fusion drummer, i saw him live a few months ago and it was great. i definitely recommend listening to some of his stuff
42 dugg is from detriot, Great reaction
Yesss thank youuu
I've watched your guys' J Cole reactions as a huge J Cole fan and really enjoyed seeing the reactions and reviews left on the albums and if you see this, KOD is an album I'd like to see thoughts reactions and reviews on as well. very enjoyable videos🙏
Appreciate you thanks for tuning in ✌🏻
After this you definitely gotta have to listen to bastard up to cherry bomb, it would be an insane and drastic change for a run if you start at bastard and then going back up to his most divisive, old to current style album which would be cherry bomb and i think thats a fun way to finish his discography before the next album comes up
Definitely will and I agree!
honestly all of the ones he didn't like I also didn't like first listen and they have grown on me a lot
Yall gotta do REVENGE OF THE DREAMERS 3
This was so fun to watch! I suggest listening to some Lana Del Rey, like born to die or nfr?
i really feel like this album is meant to be tyler's musical equivalent of a passport. he had been banned from performing in certain places because of his earlier music being so edgy and offensive, so now that he's really matured and branched out with his artistry, this album is almost a ticket for him to be able to go to those places again. it also feels like a reminder to everyone that he can be experimental but that doesn't mean he isn't a true emcee and rapper, especially after gaining so many new fans from his recent, less in-your-face albums.
Kanye being my favorite artist of all time I would never say anyone is as great as him as an all around artist because of my bias but of all the artist in the 10s who were influenced by Kanye , Tyler is the best comparison to me. Not because he's anything like him in style but because he's a completely unique standout voice within hiphop but still very much celebrates the culture, and a multifaceted artist, production, rapping , singing, fashion, design , Kanye went to art school and was a great painter , Tyler is also very good at drawing and playing piano, so both guys have influence for other styles of art.
And of course both very bold and expressive but also have a sensitive side that isn't within hip hop stereotypical machismo.
I completely agree. Also love how drastically different each album sounds. He just makes the music he wants to make and nothing else
I understand exactly how people view Tyler as a creative in that ‘ye’ category of artistry.
I have that feeling, but for JPEGMAFIA. He is absolutely remarkable, and it’s on a crazy album run. He is one of the most creative ones on God
Yeah Jpegmafia is hands down the best rapper and producer in the game. By a mile. LP! Is easily the best rap album of the 2020’s so far
@@putyouon Good point. I think there are other better 2020’s records you should 100% check out.
Manger on McNichols by Boldy James and Sterling Toles is the best one to me.
Miles by Blu & Exile is just as amazing, maybe better.
Run the Jewels 4 is incredible.
Aethiopes by Billy woods is crazy too
should show him 1999 by joey and acid rap by chance
Agreed. Needs to do 1999!
JID- The never story pleaseeeeeeeeee
Already did it! :)
42 dugg is a detroit rapper my dude but good reaction
42 is a Detroit rapper
I’ll give it up, I think CMIYGL got overhyped by Tyler’s fans a bit. But Tyler’s slick braggadocio and some high production moments still make for an enjoyable experience. Really curious to see what your dad will think on this one.
i dont really get this. me personally its his second best album with igor being first. to me i think this album shouldve blown up even more. the world and auora it creates around it is just too good.
I think it's moreso than fans like myself are just happy to hear Tyler "Rap rap" again after Igor. Not saying I didn't like that album, but I'm a fan of Tyler and was introduced to himself as a rapper so that's gonna be moreso what I want to hear personally along with his more Tribe/Neptunes inspired production he likes to rap on.
@@treyjordan1284 Yeah this is what I mean, I can’t see it being better than Flowerboy or even WOLF, those projects not only have more a diverse soundscape but tackle many different topics as well. CMIYGL is limited to this character like IGOR but it feels much more like just a “fun” project instead of something greater.
@@sumo._ ngl idk how if y’all are talking about sound scapes that you don’t talk about one of tylers best and (imo and tyler’s opinion) cherry bomb his best the soundscapes of DEATHCAMP an angry yet lovey angst teen love to BUFFALO with its rough but beautiful sounds to pilot with the insane distortion combined with beautiful instrumentals that add onto the songs meaning to RUN a song against morden teens thinking they are hard for their raps and doing drugs but they aren’t anything to FIND YOUR WINGS a beautiful jazzy calm track to the anger and beauty in CHERRY BOMB to BLOW MY LOAD/ QUARTZ a weirdly warm and erotic song that is calm and peaceful and is perfect for its subject to 2SEATER/HAIRBLOWS a insanely beautiful track that mimics what we would see later in tylers career with igor and cmiygl to THE BROWN STAINS OF DARKEESE LATIFAH PART 6-12 (REMIX) / SPECIAL an angry track with extreme inspiration literally sampling a baby crying that works insanely well for it to SPECIAL a even more angry track calling out people for homophobia and just tyler boasting how much better he is then to everyone to FUCKING YOUNG / PERFECT a beautiful calm track made to be the opposite of its meaning and PERFECT being a calm very nice but rough track with its distortion feeling like a cracked piece of glass in a masterpiece to SMUCKERS which i dont even have to say anything about this track a heavy jazz 80s feel rap song with the best of Wayne and kanye? to KEEP DA O’S a super experimental song which is similar in sound to SPECIAL but slowly evolves to a calm nice song until the end where we unironnically get to tylers best song to date and in tylers opinion his second best song OKAGA, CA words cannot describe just how beautiful this track is in production level and in a lyrical level it’s absolutely beautiful to YELLOW a calming nice jazzy song again similar to FIND YOUR WINGS ending with a long nice slow instrumental
I don't follow Tyler like that and I loved this album. I was pleasantly surprised my first time listening. Definitely love that he rapped rapped which is what I like. It felt like more of a rap album than pop. He has a great rap voice
YESSSSSSSSSS
IM EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS DAY (if u know you know)
🤫
can u guys react to billie’s ep “guitar songs” it’s so good
I know this is a bit different compared to what you guys always listen to, but I feel like you both need to react Lady Gaga’s magnum opus Born This Way. The productions on that album are insanely good. Then compare the album to Lady Gaga’s hits through out her career, like Poker Face, Just Dance, Bad Romance etc etc. ❤
I love that album
@@putyouon Oh sweet! I think your dad will love and appreciate it too! It’s my top favourite Gaga album. Crazy how she released that back in 2011..
I think it’s a fun album to react and listen to :) Can’t wait for the reaction video 😜
YESSIR
Wonder if these guys would do the deluxe edition
We did, it’s on the channel :)
26:26 uh.. lmao
Holy shit I didn’t even process this at the time. LMAO 😂😂 completely oblivious
@@putyouon LOL!! and I was confused second guessing myself for a moment haha
you have to show him IGOR
Already did :) it’s up on the channel
Please react to Sea Change by Beck
Loved the reaction. But guys. Cmon now. When yall gonna listen to Madvillainy?
1k likes on the video and we’ll do it
