- Come into ALDI with me see what I bought for a week of groceries for my family of 5. I always use items from my pantry/freezer as well. I share my dinner meal plan at the end.
Also, I do NOT buy my groceries exclusively at ALDI, but they're the first place I try and my favorite to shop at.
Recipes:
Mashed Potatoes: pin.it/1IIvRKRgW
KFC Bowls: on top of mashed potatoes, add brown gravy, popcorn chicken, sweet corn and cheddar cheese.
Stir Fry (I don't use a recipe,- but here is a guide in hot avocado oil I fry left over jasmine rice and I add a bag of frozen cauliflower rice, a diced onion and a bag of frozen mixed veggies, then soy sauce, salt and pepper. I would add in beat eggs & chicken, nut my kids won't eat it then!)

I always buy the salted butter because salt is a preservative and I keep mine out on the counter top
I need to get back to my 3 day fasts at the beginning of each month. I felt so much better when I use to do it. I am still fasting 36 hrs minimum regularly. I’m going to get myself back into the routine of it.
The store that you were in seems much more well stocked than the stores in my neighborhood.
I used the German cabbage blend and sauted it with sliced kielbasa and it was delicious!

In the 20+ years I've been shopping at Aldi I've found red stickers only 3 times. People say markdowns are on Wednesdays but I've been there on Wednesdays and have never seen markdowns on that day. So don't know if they just markdown as they feel like it, if at all
We enjoy the Mama Cozzi products.
The coconut pineapple muffins are pretty good. I picked some up this week.

Instead of fudge stripped cookies for smores. Use the specialty selected chocolate covered butter cookies. Superb! No chocolate on fingers.
I have had such issues with bananas lately! I bought green bananas with the thought that I didn’t need them and was ok with whenever they turned. They stayed green for literally two weeks then they went to have green and half brown.

Ha, ha! Noticed the "Texas Style" burgers, and wondering, what exactly would make an Aldi frozen patty a Texas style burger? Chilies? BBQ sauce? Salsa? I am a native Texan from a big big Texas city that is full of lots of different cultures - for dinner tonight, we had my homemade crawfish pho, with chicken fajita tacos from a truck, and oatmeal cookies for dessert. 😀😆😃

@user-re5bu8co8f - they just opened an Aldi in Little Rock last month, which isn’t too far from you. Their Aldi Finds aisle was really well-stocked and longer than the ones in Conway & Harrison.

Idk a lot about the fasting diet you follow,but does the flavor count against you, or do you just prefer the flavorless?
I think she likes the plain. I like the flavoured sp waters. Her family likes lemon.
During a clean fast, you can only have plain because the flavors, even sugar free, can trigger insulin, which can break your fast.
You saying balls, balls, balls reminds me of that funny little saying: "balls, balls, balls, said the queen, if I had them I'd be king!" (Can I say that?! Hope I don't get reported!😮)
Fasting is great prior to menopause. Fasting after menopause completely screws up your metabolism

One of the things I am disappointed with Aldi is they don't have self-rising flour.
You can easily make your own self rising flour - per 1 cup of AP flour, add 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Good luck
