This looks beautiful. We hear so many stories about Guatemala, but I have friends from Guatemala who love their home town. They came here to go to college and have work here, but they go home two or three times a year. I guess every place has its good and it's bad.

I live in the Antigua area it is wonderul I am headed to the capital for three days...my husband who adores animals is headed to the zoo a great one, while I shop the first day. There are good places in Guatemala City and places to avoid as in DC, NYC, many cities around the world. Antigua is VERY safe zero problem anywhere in Guatemala in over 20yrs living here but early on I paid attention to local advice where to NOT go parts of the city etc. just as I do in MIami. Now I pretty much have my favorite places.
@@latinaalma1947 Ditto! Media just loves to inflate the bad that happens in every city, because good news don’t sell. But you’re right, it’s just about avoiding the slums/bad areas anywhere in any major city in the world. You’ll be fine. I’m actually more afraid of being shot while doing groceries (or any non dangerous activity in a non dangerous place) in the US to be honest.

Drove from Belieze to visit the ruins in Guatemala. Beautiful tropical mountains especially after it rains, you will see a rainbow over the tropical mountains.

Guatemala is 12th producer of silver in the world and 20th producer of gold besides having massive reserves of nickel, jade and so many other natural resources too bad for almost a century big foreign anglosaxon corporations have been taking almost everything. Long live Juan Santamaria the heroe of Costa Rica who died in battle against the anglo pirates. The Malvinas belong to Argentina, The Esequibo belongs to Venezuela and Belice belongs to Guatemala. Guatemala exploited and sabotaged for almost a century but never gives up. God bless

I am traveling to Guatemala in 10 days. I am from US, what are the covid test regulations to travel? Do you need a covid test before departure?
I have been vaccinated. I have done my research about covid regulations but I am not sure if I need covid test prior to departure and what are the testing site airline recommended if any.

The bicycle lane is what makes me want to visit...here in Mexico City they have bicycle lanes but not as safe as these...this lane looks more what we have in Europe.
Even if you go there the goverment they make, i think is every Sunday but like a free tour whit bicicles and they show all the city and some nice restaurants and free food in the night

There are various airports in Guatemala. An international airport in Peten to visit the Mayan city of Tikal. There are airports in Quetzaltenango, Izabal, Jalapa, Coban and various other towns across the country.

Depends on the city really. To be honest Guatemala's public transport is quite bad

Seriously. Guatemala GDP it's 94 billones (9th richest country in latin america) slavador GDP it's about 32 billion and Honduras 28 so yeah Guatemala has more money and produces a lot more than the rest of central american countries.
