Dang vMIX is sick! I remember trying it out like 4 years ago but somehow my eyes now popped to what it can do. I think I'm going to start from the bottom and then upgrade as I can afford it. Keep it up!
Have spent so much time trying to get NDI stable with OBS and it is just pain and always problems with each update so now we are trying out vMix. Not that hard bringing over assets and building the scenes in vMix. Actually the scripting and triggers means we can do more in vMix instead of “programming” in Stream Deck.
Should I get a PTZ camera (they're 1080) or get a 4k and virtual pan/tilt/zoom for my youtube set? That would also allow me to take the camera other places because PTZ cameras arent that mobile.
How would NDI be setup to provide the vmix output to a local wifi network to broadcast the output to users (ie law enforcement) so the officers on the scene can watch the live stream for up to the second info? The idea is to throw up a powerful wifi network and broadcast drone feeds and any other carmera feeds to officers on scene. Would each phone/ laptop have to use VLC player to watch the NDI output stream? Any details on this setup will be appreciated.

Hi vMix, I know that I should not be asking this question here, since Newtek is not answering my question, may be vMix can help. It seems my pc and laptop cannot see each other in NDI, using Newblue titles live on laptopand with vMix on the PC. But if I use newblue on same pc with vMix via NDI it works well. Must be that my laptop is in windows 9 and my pc is in windows 10? Using a gigabit router connecting all laptop, pc and newtek cnnect spark and Ptz optics cam. All working well except for the laptop. Thank You
Perhaps there are some network setting on the laptop that aren't set up. Make sure that you have the same network settings that you're using on the PC. You can trouble shoot it and see if you can see the NewBlue in the NewTek NDI monitor or not. Feel free to send us an email via our website- www.vmix.com/contact-us.aspx
Hello Tim, Can u tell me how to connect 2 Laptops over NDI with a desktop (which is Streaming PC) ? And i have only one Ethernet input on my streaming PC. So therefore i can capture only one laptop at a time. The 2nd laptop i can't... Need help!

Lots of NDI cameras now. We have the Panasonic ag-cx350 - but not using the NDI function yet. BTW - apparently it is rather expensive per camera to get the NDI license (i recall $500 if memory serves).
I am sure there are many others like myself who have a few good cameras with HDMI outputs. I am looking and hoping for an affordable converter that would take 2 or 4 HDMI inputs and convert them to NDI on a wired ethernet. Please let me (us) know when such are available! Thanks!
So I see that you're able to select to send external 2... What if I want to receive external 2 instead. I have the vmix NDI installed on the source computer.
Hello. I'm trying to add a scorebug gfx i created in my live stream studio, but when i output the gfx channel, i get a black background even i do it as an overlay from the gfx channel. I want it transparent. Thoughts?
Not currently built into the projectors. I would say that the more popular NDI becomes the more likelihood we'll start seeing hardware with decode options and potentially doing that via wireless.

Hi, some drones offer a HDMI feed out of the controller so you can use it in live productions. Unfortunately I don't think that the Karma offers that option.

I use my iPad as an NDI camera to use within vMix for our church streams
a second hand iPhone would be better, even one with a damaged screen to save money - the wifi and the camera is better on the phones than the ipads

Does that mean that you're streaming via wi-fi instead of wired ethernet? If not how do you get the iPad on the same network as the computers?
pizazz.com have a hd-sdi to NDI converter available today. you could plug ur cameras SDI into this then route the AV feed via NDI.
