@@thegodhoward8037 60k less the a quarter of a million is worth it? U can get a camper the same size u can pull around with ur minivan for 60k and thats fully loaded.

This is one of the nicest school bus conversions I have seen. Just needs to be converted to 4x4 to have a legit expedition vehicle.
I'm about to do that this winter to my shuttle bus. I'ma take out that electronically controlled 7.3 and swap it for a 12v Cummins with 4x4. Should be a real pain in my ass but it will be sweet

I feel the same way. If this was my kid, I'd be proud and know that he's going to be okay. Love this bus. Maybe when we are empty nesters this is something I can do.

This is exactly what we need. Being disabled? I’ve never been able to travel across the US. I lay down when I feel tired and I’m always connected to my feeding tube and central line fluids. I have a medical service dog as well as a German Shepherd and kitty. This is just absolutely perfect. It will fit my IV pole and pumps as well as all my medical supplies. I want a chance to see our beautiful country. Hopefully sometime.

He basically knows the cons and pros of designing and building the bus. What he is saying is the functionality and comfortability when he lives in it. HE HAS A GOOD TALENT FOR THE VAN BUILT.

It is the most well-designed tiny house on wheel that I ever see! So user-friendly, so practical, and so comfortable. And the bathroom is so spacious! Excellent!

Welp, now i wanna buy a school bus and hire this guy to make it look like his. This place is amazing and that bathroom is legit awesome!!! I love everything about this design but the bathroom and kitchen area are my favorite.

Incredible build. In the ancient times my dad got a medium-duty box truck from someone who owed him. We couldn't register it at dmv being a commercial vehicle. So he converted to an rv with folding bunks, sink, bath etc. Yours in tons nicer. Love it.

It's so nice to hear young people honor their great and grand parents and that grandpa helped the young man learn alot of handy skills!!! Unfortunately the next generations are mostly ignorant when it comes to doing anything not with computers.

Incredibly awesome build..you definitely save a lot when do it yourself..also that engine is a powerhouse ..I had it in my truck and got 450.000mi out of it.
Durable, not powerful for sure. Driven a few commercial 7.3's (different than the ones in pickups) and can't say I was ever quick getting anywhere. Since he has a top speed of 55, if he really likes that thing he could always swap in a diesel and trans from any of the light duty trucks from the big 3. Every 3/4 ton diesel truck makes close to a 1000ft lbs and 450hp now with a minimum of 6 forward gears, would really change how driving that thing around feels. Would be effortless and cruise at 80mph with no problem.

This is a propper mobile home that has everything a normal home has . .. .and more. .
But seriously, your house noy only looks and feels perfect in every way but it is inspirational, that makes it a piece of art, does it not?
I have had a look at my fair share of tiny homes/van builds/ mobile, schoolie, stealthy places to sleep over the past few years and this house on wheels has been properly thought out. One could live in your for ever and never miss or want for anything. . . .

Tiny homes a tiny home, built 3 tinyhomes in New Zealand. If you can live full time in it, its a home, rvs are part time.

Wow I'm so impressed by you. This is a perfect build and so much excellent use of space...even down to your dogs safe space and bed. It's amazing how you thought of heat and no hookups to freeze. I don't understand why you want to go smaller. I'd give my eyeteeth for this. You young man can make an excellent living outfitting buses and vans for people.

Wow! Really well designed and very cozy home. Love the woodwork, green color and Taj Mahal bathroom size! But for your age and active lifestyle, like you realized, you need something smaller and more compact. Sell this one and build out your next adventure vehicle.

That's one of the best ladders I've seen. Good size and really sturdy. But its "plumb" when citing vertical compliance not "level" which is used with horizontal compliance. But the distance from the bus is great. Usually the ladders are so close i don't know how anyone can climb it!!! Bet it can handle lots of weight.
Nothings level on a bus. Its actually just precisely measured off of the bus, slightly angled inward. I got it to where i wanted it. Its close enough for government work! :)
@@bummingwithbigbetty3264 Hi Kyle! Did you see the comment re the Carbon Monoxide detector? Pls look into it or maybe add another one near the stove at ground level. The idea is that the place would be full of the gas before it got to the back. Pls do an Escape Drill to be prepared in general since the window behind the bed is blocked.

I'm pretty well versed in building and welding, I'm not impressed by much but this is pretty impressive. He mentions getting help here and there, which is smart no matter who you are or what you know. I never hesitate to ask for advice and help, never hurts my feelings when someone has a better idea or more talent, the learning is so enjoyable.
10% is welding the hard part is electrical engineering and most of it is carpentry work.

I think your build-out is awesome. Your bus is very nice inside and out. The teal and white color scheme on the outside is a nice touch. Very good! You say a lot of the materials are reclaimed, you did an outstanding job of reusing these materials.

One of my first memories I remember a school bus sitting on the side of the road about 40 foot off road , my great grandpa lived in it for 20 years it was already abandoned when I seen it my dad would tell me stories about it, looked kinda like this one but alot older and it had a wood stove in it.
