The war between Hurrem and Nurbanu begins!
Hurrem's answer devastates Suleiman. Gazanfer saves Nurbanu from drawning at the last moment. Nurbanu escapes the death and blames Hurrem. The war between Hurrem and Nurbanu begins. Defne becomes successful on winning Bayezid's heart and tells Selim a secret that she has found out. The trap that Selim has set for Bayezid drives him crazy. Mihrimah gets lesions on her body. Doctor Pedro who comes to cure Mihrimah's lesions enamours her. Fatma puts Hurrem in a grat danger. Suleiman gets shocked because of what he sees as he comes to save Hurrem. Suleiman banishes Fatma from the capital. Hurrem gets terrified because of what the fortune teller has told her. Suleiman throws his heart into the flames within Mustafa's letter.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Kinda funny how Hürrem got angry with being compared to Nurbanu when they're basically trying to do the exact same thing: Secure their children's future.
Hurrem use also her conscience when Nurbanu didn't have that quality
@@Tentrahedriteable Hürrem's "conscience" is her deflecting blame or not being accountable for her actions whilst Nurbanu is practical and honest with what she does. I.E Hürrem acts like she was never indirectly responsible for Mustafa's death, nor did she ever feel regret over the innocent concubines she's had killed.
@Dreamfyre I don't understand how you can be this short sighted to the point you'd rather twist someone else's words just so you'd have something to argue about. I'm not going to make another long comment for you because it's clearly useless, I'll just sum up that both Hürrem and Nurbanu, by extension their successors, Safiye, Handan, Kosem, and Turhan, have alllll faced an equal amount of hardships in their ride to power, none of them were "poor duplicates" of anyone. Hürrem was not above manipulating others for her goals, much like Nurbanu did, and if you watched the show, you'd have seen this happen many times.
People's double standards for Hürrem is insane. She and Nurbanu are barely any different in the end. Even Kosem gets defended way more and Kosem was faaaaaar worse than Hürrem and Nurbanu combined.
Unfortunately,Hurem didn’t end up with disgusting Nurbanu.

The way Nurbanu tried to use Hürrem’s grandkids to soften her up 💀I do wish we could have seen more of Hürrem spending time with her grandkids though
The same way Hafsa tried to plan Hürrem's death multiple times. It never worked though.
@Dreamfyre Hürrem's sons were fighting each other with or without Nurbanu regardless. Nurbanu just safeguarded the one she loved.
@Dreamfyre I mean, you KNOW I'm going to mention how Hürrem also tried to kill Mustafa multiple times as well right? Attempted poisoning, sending an assassin which resulted in the death of his pregnant concubine, slandering him to Suleiman. It's not too different from Nurbanu trying to take Bayezid's life, because in both instance they were motivated by the survival of their son and loved one (Murad and Selim for Nurbanu. Suleiman and her sons for Hürrem). Really, they both had the right to it.
Major difference being, unlike Hürrem, Nurbanu wasn't blind to the fact that if Bayezid won, neither Selim nor her son Murad will survive. Bayezid will never show mercy to either of them because they'll always be a threat to his position and the position of his sons. Same reason why Selim couldn't allow Bayezid and his sons to live in the end. Hürrem realized this with Mustafa, but not with her own sons.
Hafsa did have a reason to plan Hürrem's death or at least her exile from the palace. Was it a good reason? Not at all, but it was enough of a reason for Hafsa to try anyways.
Nurbanu had a head start but she wasn't "handed everything on a silver platter". She was chosen by Hürrem to join Selim's harem, but that wasn't at all a guarantee that she'd become his favorite and Hürrem wasn't in Selim's province to send her directly to him, Nurbanu had to work to get chosen and have him fall in love. Then, she worked to secure the future of Selim and their son together.
@Dreamfyre To be fair, I do agree with most of what you said and can't deny that Nurbanu did have an easy start compared to Hurrem and Hafsa's hatred of Hurrem turned from "yeah I can understand why she'd hate Hurrem (during her tantrum screaming era) to "Hafsa only hates Hurrem for basically contrived plot reasons with no more rationality behind it". At the very least, if they were going to have Hafsa hate Hurrem, she shouldn't have been defending Mahidevran at all after the poisoning incident.
Granted, I do like to think that just because Nurbanu had a giant head start in the harem, didn't mean she faced no challenges at all as Haseki and the Valide Sultan (particularly with Safiye and Mihrimah in the show canon).
@DreamfyreHurrem has no valid reason to order Nurbanu s death all the fault is of her own sons while Hafsa sultan has a valid reason to kill hurrem devil bcz she knows hurrem is a threat for the life of her family Mustafa, Ibrahim, Hatice
EXACTLY!! Because since Hurrem and Suleiman broke a rule by having more than one prince, it was obvious that at some point in time all of them would fight to death for the throne or would die executed by their brother in the throne. So Nurbanu only protected one of Hurrem's children.@@princess7jasmine

Its obvious nurbanu cannot protect herself. If selim became sultan, she would apologize to valide hurrem sultan. This is not hafsa here , this is hurrem sultan.
Nah, Nurbanu is resourceful might like Hürrem. She'd fight her just as well as Hürrem fought Hafsa, there's little difference between them at that point. Selim can easily disobey her for Nurbanu just as Suleiman did for Hürrem.

@@ΔημΣΚ Hürrem is exactly like Hafsa, who tried to end Hürrem and failed. Much like Hürrem, Nurbanu may apologize, but it doesn't mean it's the end of their fight and taking down Nurbanu will be extremely difficult if not impossible for Hürrem at that point. Heck, Mihrimah couldn't do it either, Safiye had to wait until Nurbanu passed from old age.

Hafsa tried so many times to kill hurrem she failed despite she was the 2nd strongest enemy hurrem faced next to shah who lost against her too, ibrahim tried so many times to beside with mahidevran and try to harm her but he failed, mahidevran was owned economically by Suleiman but by all means hurrem owned her until her death, hatice tried so many times to humiliate and insult hurrem tried winning against her and failed lol
So many stronger enemies hurrem has defeated, her apparentice was nothing against her
they wouldnt even be against each other if mahidevran and mustafa would have seeded discord between them its sad hurrem taught them to love their brother and mahidevran taught mustafa his brothers were enemies and only selim believed hurrem which is why beyazid and chianger were hostile to selim. well and also selim was a drunk.

Nurbanu has no power nor influence, no one will choose her over the valide sultan. One gazanfer cant do anything, canfeda would listen to valide sultan too.
Nurbanu did what haseki ayse sultan also did later to valide kosem sultan. She brings her prince. Hahaha
