This is a good show, thank you. But each person sees the sun from where they are. I lived in Uganda for over 30 years, but stress almost killed me even after obtaining a Masters degree, but now in UK. For the time I have lived in UK, I do not regret leaving Uganda at all. Life is what everyone makes it. It sounds like Counsel Mubiru wants a sandwiched and balanced life, where he still benefits from the advantages of being a British National as well as tap from the benefits of working in Uganda...otherwise if UK was terrible, he might as well opt to be fully engaged back in Uganda without strings attached in UK. My take is, let everyone try out where they feel will work for them and have their own story to tell later.
True, but not only me whose been here a few years, other relatives and friends over 30 years in UK, but some have similar stories to Counsel, yet the majority encourage to move to UK, they have tasted both Uganda and UK as well. I still say, this is a case by case living for each person. Even in Uganda, there are many stress issues. With real life experiences of friends and family that have been hit by stroke in Uganda, stress is real any where depending on how you handle life.
Stress is everywhere. As human beings we just need to learn to cope with life anywhere and if we have means to try other options. Some will opt to go back home. I know older people in diaspora who have tried to come back to Uganda, lived there 6 months but their health started deteriorating and with Uganda health care and emergency care they came back to uk as here they can be looked after better. So it depends. You can have lots of money in Uganda but if you’re say to be involved in an accident or had a medical emergency the care won’t be the same as in uk and that’s why those govt officials die in foreign hospitals. Anyway the balance in life is hard but once you find it, appreciate what you have, learn to cope, the rest as they say, life is what you make it.
True. Social media has created a breed of people who want everyone to do things like them. I wish people just give their story and not say that this is what everyone should copy
Simon, I congratulate you for making such a difficult decision. Many Africans below fifty years of age here in USA have developed hypertension or diabetes. Cause: STRESS. Patrick
There is a curse on those countries who oppressed other peoples in the world. I have traveled and studied all over the world but I always return to my homeland Uganda 🇺🇬 🌷
We thank Allah for the gift of life. Thanks alot for the awesome program dear brother farook serkozi and our consultant Simon. May Allah bless you and the work of ur hands. Ahmed Gossip live Ambassador in Qatar omu bwati yeka.
Simon has been honest from our youth times. If you need help or his counsel grab it now before he gets busy 🤗 I wish him the best with all he's planning to achieve 🙏🙏
Exactly what I was saying. Stress is everywhere even in Uganda but what causes it in diaspora are the demands of family back home. They’re people in diaspora who don’t have that stress and are comfortably living their lives just with the normal stress of life.
When people in Uganda contact me I just smh 🤦♀️ sometimes these people don’t know how stressful this country Iam in is . I have allergies personally but I still have to go work in this f winter excuse my language.
But he is here as a tourist. Then he will go back. If he denounces uk citizenship, then awo nga many nti wabbi. But they tell us that then go back, why go back to a stressful place
Thank you Simon for your deliberation. Can I please say that not everyone in the uk is stressed. It depends on your situation. Also, the f your kids don’t want to live with you, you must be a very hard man to live with. Stress olabika wajiteeka nekubaana. But Uganda will do you good due to your experience and traditional values. Good luck sir.
True. Not everyone in uk is stressed. Most who are, have the stress caused by people back home so moving back is not a solution for those as when they come even for a simple visit every one is lining up for money so coming back for good means coming back to look after the same people including their ailing parents and their own aging self.
Mubiru you are very inspiring. and what's surprising you don't look 55. You kept saying you went to the UK in the 90s,and I was wondering coz you looked someone in your 20s, I'm really shocked you are 55. Keep it up. Nice work Farouk.
@@sabri1913 that guy really surprised me. You may think he is like 28, I don't know how he does it, But I heard him mention bicycle riding, seems he exercises a lot,
@sabri1913 it's because these countries especially UK make u believe in your self. If he was in Uganda, I wonder if he would have looked like that. u don't age because u are always active in UK.
Education in the UK is free up to A level but beyond that one has to apply for a student loan which you pay back when you start working. it's at a low interest rate but still a significant potion of one's income if you factor in the fact that after graduation then other costs of normal life come into play. Medical facilities are better than in Uganda but not free as such because when you start working money is deducted at source every month towards the national insurance scheme and it's this that caters for your treatment. On the whole it does a fantastic job.
Very well put. They even added an extra deduction on wages for NHS specifically after Covid. I think he generalised it too much without getting into details. I was wondering how his degree was free and who gets paid for going to university. It’s a loan, that has to be paid back and those who didn’t take the loan paid for themselves or their parents paid for them. I hope he finished paying his student loan off before relocating…😂😄
Farouq webale tuletera bantu abasomye nga bamugaso, its very cool bro. People like these Babera bamugasso eri egwanga. Continue selecting this class of people even more.
The man is not saying don't go to abroad becoz l have seen people criticizing him in comment section mbu after working and settling he is telling us about stress
@@kirabogloria2187 The man is telling the truth...been in UK long enough and there is NOTHING to enjoy here.. life is much better in Uganda especially mukyalo having stress free life!
There's nothing for free in UK 🇬🇧. If you have never looked at your payslips to know how much taxes you pay, you should. We put alerts on international visitors when they get emergency medical treatments like PPCI such that they are discharged through finance. nothing is for free. 😮
I hear mental health is on the rise in Uganda. I think sometimes kids behave according to how you treat and relate to them. I have an 18 year old boy and 11 year old girl but we have a very strong bond. But everyone who meets them complements the way they behave. I know there's a lot of pressure in the UK, this is a firt world which Africans are not designed to adjust to as we're naturally very slow people and dependent on others. We don't promote independence. I have lived in the UK for 20 years now but i can't complain kubanga ebizibu ebiri e UK biri munsi yonna. What matters is how you cope. Some people are naturally weak while others are strong enough to withstand strong winds. I understand UK is not for everyone same as Uganda.
You’ve summarised it so well. It’s the inability to adjust, struggling to cope and to accept our situations. Most are target working to please people in Uganda so when they can’t do so, the stress sets in and because you then have to keep working, means no self care, no rest, no social life, no break, then stress.
Totally agree! I have zero regrets about moving to the Uk 20 years ago. The beginning is challenging, but later, when you set your boundaries, you start enjoying. I guess everyone has their own experience. Everywhere you go, you have to hassle. People have failed to understand that even in Uganda, people have to hassle!
Even in SA, some Ugandans are stressed. Many fear returning because they have nothing. You will be surprised that a person has been here for twenty years but with nothing to show. Things aint easy.
They would have some thing to show but people back home squeeze all our savings out of us and for them are living large and building mansions..But they cry how they need your assistance and manipulate you but when you go home they avoid you and can't even buy you a soda or dinner
@@BABS889 Thats why its good to first sort out yourself. But nowadays with internet and mobile banking, one can directly transfer money into ones account back home without sending it to any relation to bank it for you. That solves the problem. And thats what I do.
facts. When the money is finished they disappear. I have vowed from this year no more ! I sent a whole house to Uganda in terms of money. I hope people learn from us who have made mistakes cos those people are partying on your hard earned money every weekend and sad thing is they don’t even care about you
Oooohhhh how I have been waiting for this interview. Thank you Farooq for bringing back Mr. Counsel. Thank you for the information. Great interview. ♥️🙏
Thanks for the visa info. Ugandans in Kla wanted me to pay 300k for the extension so I went to Mbarara and paid 150k. I thought I'd got a bargain kumbe it's supposed to be free 😢😢😢.
Wasn’t this guy on your show at the start of the year? He made it seem like he was doing ok. Hope he finds his peace back home. Thing is to try and strive to be well wherever you are. He will be shocked at how much things have changed in Uganda, but I wish him well. 🙏🏾
My dear, if you’re not careful in UK! You end up with mental health, etc… what he is saying is very true dear!! I have lived in UK for 37 years moving into 38 years!! I will say I blessed to have a mortgage here and a small house in Uganda. Believe what he is saying, it’s not a bed of roses here!!! Keep safe

Wama guys if you get the visa travel because stress is everywhere. I know money isn’t everything but money makes life easier and there are more chances to make money abroad than in Uganda.
This guy is 100%correct ,too much stress, even me here in one of the gulf countries i feel too much stress,sm missing my wife and kids, the good natural environment of Uganda and the good organic food and fruits , and cool breeze air from our lakes and rivers than in this hot country with extreme heat, and complicated food 😮
I think on this case about child talk for your self. It depends how you have brought up your children. If you don't educate your children where they come from what do you expect!!!. Children who are born here it doesn't mean that they can not know , their decent or their roots ✌🏾
Even if they don’t know their roots, they can be disciplined into responsible adults. My nephews and nieces have never been to Uganda but are responsible adults, with good jobs and respectful to everyone they meet.
Farouq nze mbande ntesa revise some notes, be informed please. People should just share their personal experiences but not generalise issues. It's important to understand that when you come from a country where systems are not implemented you will automatically feel squeezed in a developed world where systems are enforced.
Very well said Angela. People who go back home over exaggerate situations, lie and try and make it seem its dire abroad..oyo mubiru yeyohereko atuveeko abali happy abroad
I told people that NHS is very fundanental to the health of people. I know many elderly people with hip replacement, heart surgery, pavemakers and other complex surgeries. When i relate it with Uganda and other countries I can imagine these people would be dead by now.
Imagine i came here in 1990 been here for 34yrs but i have established myself and invested heavily in Uganda 🇺🇬 whatever he says is 100% correct, my children have graduated it's now time for me to repatriate and enjoy life in Uganda😮
System yaffe nvuddu... If ypu have been following the media this week you will see how our politicians are taking us way back. High taxes and only used as under table envelope for mps. Lubowa saga, hon. Mpu ohh lord. 🙏🙏🙏
NHS is a sinking ship, UK is overrated, there’s nothing here I understand it used to be great those days but today uk is bleeding, it’s difficult to see dr or even to make a gp appointment and when you go to a&e youll stay so long before you are seen by dr, you’re likely to work extra hours outside your contracted hours in order to be able to pay your bills, save money and support your family back home, you don’t have time for yourself. Work is all you think about. The living spaces are so small bedrooms are so tiny , it’s always wet, cloudy and rainy especially in the winter it’s so dark. The racial discrimination at work is one thing and your kids being bullied in school because they’re black is another. Now the thing is, you’ll never believe it when anyone tells you about the struggles. Those that says they’re doing well here is because they grew a thick skin, they settled with being tolerated and not accepted, simply they are pretending to be ok while deep down they know they are lacking a sense of belonging. I always say if you’re doing well at home, stay where you’re. If you come here just know that you’ll fall into the trap and you’ll spend all those years fighting to come out year in year out before you know it you have lived for 30 years of high stress and pain.
But most men here still don't get time for their families. They would rather be out with friends watching football and doing other things so if he can stay in UK and be very busy well and good.
Exactly!! A marriage works so well when both parties are goving it 100%. No matter where you are in the world. Yes, environmental stresses can habe an impact but once a couple remains devoted to each other and their marriage, it works like a well oiled machine.
It's only banakyalo who don't believe the truth behind that man's story. Uganda is the best place to live in for those not on political or social witch hunt.😂
Banage, I think uk is different depending ku muntu. Some people have made it. U just interviewed someone last week who seems to be doing well. I think someone's experience should not be used as a yardstick for what kyeyo is. Everybody's experience is different. Just my opinion, don't shoot

But Ramla, camera tickets are issued if you’re parking in the wrong places or over speeding which is all driver fault. I know there are places where it’s hard to find parking but better to walk a long distance than getting those tickets. The system will never be for us but we adjust. Small changes make a difference.
Yes it's always hard when you're abroad but i don't understand as to why he spent all those years in the UK and now's he's back telling us stress things...
It all depends on what you want in life. I'm settled in UK and have no stress. Uganda nayo sinyangu. If you work and plan for your money well in UK you are ok. Ate abaana ba UK it depends on how you bring them up . Not all of us want to come back. Banange mweyogereko as individuals . Nze Uganda neda.

Its possible to make life in uganda, i have lived in TZ,Rwanda etc, Im now in europe, ugandans just need to work on their mindset and lifestyles, polygamy, more politics, producing more kids etc, You could live a happy life in uganda.
Never listen to these people,i believe everyone has his or her own luck.....after they work in Europe over 20years ,they come back with saving and invest in Uganda then start telling us how Uganda has alot of opportunities, freedom etc....if you get opportunity just go try n you will tell your own story.
You are right, those who have earned and made a little difference in their lives are convincing others not to go. Uk was not always stressful but the whole world has changed for the worst
You have to listen and then make your own decisions. Living abroad is not a bed of roses. If u choose to stay abroad you have to be ready to make sacrifices.

True but u have just arrived therefore u don't have authority to speak now. We wish you the best
True
True. Social media has created a breed of people who want everyone to do things like them. I wish people just give their story and not say that this is what everyone should copy

Don't be too quick to judge...,.u have not been tested yet......wait for your turn😅 He has shared information objectively......take it or leave it
True. Not everyone in uk is stressed. Most who are, have the stress caused by people back home so moving back is not a solution for those as when they come even for a simple visit every one is lining up for money so coming back for good means coming back to look after the same people including their ailing parents and their own aging self.
Wama Well said Mabel. We are not all suffering abroad. There's more stress in Uganda

Hello guys even here om Dubai too much stress and I think all kyeyo is full of stress

There's nothing for free in UK 🇬🇧. If you have never looked at your payslips to know how much taxes you pay, you should. We put alerts on international visitors when they get emergency medical treatments like PPCI such that they are discharged through finance. nothing is for free. 😮

Nothing is for free on EU, the taxes r crazy
Well said
You’ve summarised it so well. It’s the inability to adjust, struggling to cope and to accept our situations. Most are target working to please people in Uganda so when they can’t do so, the stress sets in and because you then have to keep working, means no self care, no rest, no social life, no break, then stress.
Totally agree
Totally agree!
I have zero regrets about moving to the Uk 20 years ago. The beginning is challenging, but later, when you set your boundaries, you start enjoying. I guess everyone has their own experience.
Everywhere you go, you have to hassle. People have failed to understand that even in Uganda, people have to hassle!

Thank you counsel slash council Simon. Trying to tell people all around, outside Uganda no peace....thanks for elaborating....
Even in SA, some Ugandans are stressed. Many fear returning because they have nothing. You will be surprised that a person has been here for twenty years but with nothing to show. Things aint easy.
Ori mutufu nyo nyo dear
They would have some thing to show but people back home squeeze all our savings out of us and for them are living large and building mansions..But they cry how they need your assistance and manipulate you but when you go home they avoid you and can't even buy you a soda or dinner
@@BABS889 Thats why its good to first sort out yourself. But nowadays with internet and mobile banking, one can directly transfer money into ones account back home without sending it to any relation to bank it for you. That solves the problem. And thats what I do.

You can go back to Uganda i think nobody is forcing you to stay in there against your own will
I think on this case about child talk for your self.

Thxs for the information
But most men here still don't get time for their families. They would rather be out with friends watching football and doing other things so if he can stay in UK and be very busy well and good.
Exactly!! A marriage works so well when both parties are goving it 100%. No matter where you are in the world. Yes, environmental stresses can habe an impact but once a couple remains devoted to each other and their marriage, it works like a well oiled machine.
Unless you have dual citizenship, but if you hold a foreign passport you have to apply for visa if travelling to Uganda.
On what percentage
You can make it and still be stressed .
I packed myself back nga silina gwenebuzizaako. I'd achieved what I went for and I'd had my share of stress. Not where I thought I'd be today but I'm good. Gyengenda ndabayo.
😂😂😂 your share of stress??? 😂😂😂😂
Bambi kirunji..Bbeera Burunji katonda Kuwe omukisa
It's like me here am dying of stress and cry everyday becoz of family members l trusted my aunt with my money but nw am crying becoz they ate my money. My uncle 8m.
My aunt 5m but nothing l have gained in working as a kadama and l want to go back home 😢😢😢😢
Ha, you're absolutely talking about me plus my STROKE because of everything I lost because of my family.
Sorry😔! Take heart
He is very right, it's very easy to get stroke due to stress in these countries. I drive a car but I have always recieved camera tickets, I don't know some times why its happening. All my money.
Kwegamba many many things bring about stress. Kitufu wano tewali wabadugavy. System eno siyaffe at all
Bambi..sorry. 😢just be safe out there.
But Ramla, camera tickets are issued if you’re parking in the wrong places or over speeding which is all driver fault. I know there are places where it’s hard to find parking but better to walk a long distance than getting those tickets. The system will never be for us but we adjust. Small changes make a difference.
He worked achieved whatever he wanted now he is back in the country
U know,he's been there 28years and now he wants us to believe that its hard.tulekeemu
Life abroad is hard. Stress is alot. Ur always alone.
Yes it's always hard when you're abroad but i don't understand as to why he spent all those years in the UK and now's he's back telling us stress things...
Even though but what is talking is true and he is not forcing anyone to go back home
Healthy and Education are not free as said. At the end of tax year the government show you how your taxes were you used in that year.
Such people get loans and spoil their credit. They mess up things and start crying like babies.
Kati augandan has to seek visa really ❤
I praying fasting to go UK 🇬🇧 another praying to leave UK for good this life no balance 😮kyeyo olewme
Negativity Ugandans from diaspora portray at home looks to be funded. Come make money coz these issues ain't general issues. What he planned, he got THAT. Eyo stress yiye nga omuntu, siya bona
I would just say nothing is easy in the world.. you just have to fight on and persist and resist regardless of where you are located on this globe.
They're always greener on the opposite side
@@jothamkasule4150 Exactly my dear. Nze I’ve seen many like him swear they’ve done it all and are returning to Uganda Kyoka after 6 months they come back to uk, call you mbu nakomyeewo nonya wakusula..🤣😁. Nne Uganda eyokya. Especially if you haven’t lived there for a while. You’re not familiar to how people live there and systems.
@@springvic5034 okitegera...baaaangi dala biba lema and rtn to uk...that man is a big liar
You people you say what you dont know😢
We should all learn from his experience, lets work on Kyekyo, as we plan to go back home !! Uk is not aplace for us Africans (Ugandan).
Stress, depression, loneliness 😢😢those 3 things 😢those at kyeyo can relate not those in ug nor family members
They will never understand
Amazima mugawulide 😅

You’re so right. Life can be tough but I don’t regret being in the US.
You have to listen and then make your own decisions. Living abroad is not a bed of roses. If u choose to stay abroad you have to be ready to make sacrifices.
Kitufu kyogamba but still bulaaya telumbika nga okuzze, atleast abagenze nga bato ate when it comes to non English speaking country gujabagira, I av visited Germany twice but I enjoyed most wen I was 8yrs koz nali muto with alot ov favors around me naye bwenadayo nga ndi mukulu hehehehee ebintu tebiba byebimu and minus knowing German nekisuka but thank God nali nkyaddeyo bukyazi
Come abroad n try.. if u think his lying….pple are going mad
I remember Simon with Wisdom Kaye around Wembley Park.
Not every child asks for expensive trainers
Health and education systems are not really free. It's from the taxes we pay. They utilise the taxes well.
At least you have achieved your foundation 😊 definitely UK is stressful because it's not your birth country
True
Even here in Skandinaviia, stress kyetukola.
Mr Mubiru, there is nothing free in this world. Be it education, health Care, . You always have to pay taxes afterwards. Once you get to work your NI number reflects everything. YOU initially pay back.
He's a hundred percent correct
UK 🇬🇧 and Bulaya as a whole is very very stressful and if you don't guard your peace you can easily get ill due to Stress. Kati sasiira ffe abaludde kubuLaaya! Hmmm mukama yeka!
If possible I would like to meet you bro for some advice from you
31:00 this guys spoke serious facts.
I did not know that Education is free in Uk
Stress nyingi emirimu gimenya, relatives are the one who enjiy our sweats😢.
So it’s your family/children that is stressing you
Atulekemu, he is sooo contradictory...he's stories dont make sense..he will be running back to UK...
What doesn't make sense? Mwagubala kumawanga nemusimuka!
Farouk i wonder if you found Counsel sober, he said everything is free and good in UK, ate mbu stress emutta, he said if you well-placed you kids' care oba omaze, he doesn't do a thing for his kids kyoka ayagala respect from kids, he hasn't done a thing fir 20years, yekwasa ba family mbu baamubba, naye counsel wekuba endobo weka,
😂😂😂. I think sometimes Farouk has to prepare for these interviews and give some of those people the questions he will be asking so they know the direction of the conversation pre-recording. Those who are journalists can help and tell us what it’s called. That way some of them won’t be contradicting themselves.
@@springvic5034I have an impression this conversation wasn't scripted. I'm a fun of this channel though but this has been the worst guest on bench, the information is total crappie and misleading for majority of the audience bambi. Farouq bambi tokidamu
That Mubiru is so contradictory...he says one thing then further down the interview, contradicts himself...musajja mulimba Nyooooo
