The lead singer Paul Carrack has his own band and tours regularly, we go and see him nearly every year when he plays near us and Over My Shoulder is his encore number. Paul is also a great songwriter, he co wrote Love will Keep us Alive for the Eagles sung by Timothy B Schmit. He also tours regularly with Eric Clapton. Check out some of his earlier work with an English band called Squeeze
Managed to get to see Paul and his band just before Covid locked us all up for a while. Wonderful concert. He is really good live. Britt - if you ever get the chance to see him, do so.
I was hit by a car that ran a red light while their beautiful song “Taken In” was playing on a mix tape in my little Pontiac Fiero in 1992! 😂 Reactors always overlook that one and what I thought was their biggest hit, “All I Need Is A Miracle.” ❤
When i open your video-reactions, you get the like first - just for seeing you there. Then i watch the video. Great, keep it up! I listen to Mike and The Mechanics since mid 80s when i was a young teen. Their first hit was "Silent Running" - also sung by Paul Carrack. Their other awesome singer, Paul Young sadly died in 2000.... They had many many great songs until Paul Carrack left the band... Carrack is one of the best singers i know. He is still great. Maybe you look into his post-MATM-work and react on them too... Thank you. (P.S. i know you since you reacted to Putri Ariani and i cried with you 😍)
Sadly Paul Carrack (vocalist and keyboards) left the group to go solo and was replaced by Andrew Roachford who also sings and plays keyboards. They have produced great singles and LP's since. Another great track is 'All I need is a miracle' again with Carrack, I think. BTW I can whistle for England!
Glad to see you doing so much Mike and the Mechanics, they have a lot of great songs. However, you are missing some of the best presentations of their storytelling when you don't watch the music videos. Just for your own benefit, watch them, "The Living Years" video adds to the lyrics in a profound way. It is a "must see" and you won't regret it.
You really should re-watch these with the videos that go with them, especially The Living Years, also check out Nobody's Perfect sung by the much missed original member Paul Young who sadly passed too young and too soon, RIP
Mike is not singing. Paul Carrack is singing (one of the greatest soul voices ever!). Mike (black shirt, mustache and the other acoustic guitar), is also the guitarist for Genesis, one of the greatest bands in the history of music!
Hi. In my opinion this is not the best version of this song because in this video he is old enough so that his voices thickened up and he lost some of his versatility in high male register. But in his prme years he was a beast of a singer.

Saw Paul Carrack in England earlier this year.....his voice is still amazing.🤟👏
Paul Carrack is the lead singer. Such a great voice. This band is great. You’re right! Such a quality, easy sound from them. 😅
One of those songs that for some reason just hits me
Mike is in the band as well, and he's none other than Mike Rutherford, the bassist and guitarist of Genesis. The vocalist is Paul Carrack. 🙂

First time for this old lady hearing this one.
Love Paul Carrack's voice.
Listen to Paul singing satisfy my soul .
Nice band and nice reaction...

Wasn´t "All I Need Is A Miracle" sung by Paul Young?

That song... when my dad died in 2014 it was making me cry over and over.......
+1000 to this.
Takin’ In is a great track

The guy who's singing is not "Mike" ;) That would be the "other" guitarist ... who wrote song
No I can't whistle and I hate it when people whistle haha
Ah snap should've picked the studio version or when Paul was younger, this version was a bit tame tbh
Great reaction, wondered if you reacted to any Level 42 videos...Lessons in love, Running in the family, Something about you. Just to name a few ).
Very. Good i would like you react to hotel Califórnia by Eagles, great performance

That ain't 'Mike', it's Paul. Mike is the guitarist to his left
I think the recorded version is better.
