James, click on the bee swarm that you collected and select "cheer yourself up with the bees". I think it will give you a better moodlet and make you less uncomfortable.

zaharozoe, apparently the Sims team wants to make it more like Banished if that's what you're saying. Sims can freeze to death in the cold of winter if they're out for too long.

My favorite was the original Rags to Riches where Duke Silver passes out in a puddle of his own urine, the picture of which goes on to become the thumbnail for the entire series.
Here in Sweden we aslo celabrate "the Cinnamon roll day", or kanelbulledagen in swedish. It's seriously just a holyday for eating connamon rolls on the 4th of October and everyone does it.
In the spring we have "the Fat Tuesday" too, which is very simular.

Thats a super cool idea, Switching the holidays like that. Its sort of weird that fall is warm in windenburg because in spring its freezing! (mushrooms suck) Has an entire garden of mushrooms, mood! XD
It can be like that in U.K. or sometimes both Spring and Autumn are warm, or very cold.
Where I live (northeast USA) fall is sometimes warmer than the spring too.
I'm in New Zealand (beside Australia) and Spring is usually a brighter version of Winter (still cold) and Autumn is a wetter version of Summer (still hot).

Maybe the goal of this series could be having four houses themed after each season? Such as: a Beach Villa (summer), a Outdoorsy Shed (fall), a Chalet (Winter) and a house with a big garden and lots of plants etc (Spring)

I've watched this playthrough a few times at this point (James going outside of his normal play style makes it a lot of fun for me), and the thing I like about Sebastian is that he seems to have a genuine personality. It just looks like he's having fun with his life, even during the "rags" part of Rags to Riches.
I think Seasons will make Rags To Riches a tad more difficult, since you actually need a roof over your head

Blame it on the ingrained American-centric view, but I didn't even think about being able to move the holidays into different seasons for different hemispheres. That is really cool! It's still a whole day before the pack comes out here and it's already my favorite they've ever done.

The schedule mechanic for holidays was something that made me super excited for Seasons. I love that.
ETA: mushrooms are fungi so they don't reproduce via pollination IRL, as it's specific to flowering plants.

Finally made it all the way around! Started watching these LP's when this Season-edition started, after a while I got curious about the Bigwallet family and started with S01E01 and the first Lady Bigwallet. Now I've watched all the episodes, and are re-watching the first episode I ever saw!
Sence sims 4 seasons came out I wanted to be a beekeeper to make honey because of Covid and food shortage and to save the world and bees . Bees are going instinct because of dumb man kind or humans . Now this 2022 I’m getting my first honey bees soon this April 11th in real life instead. Now I’m a original unknown artist , jewelry designer/jewelry seller,and beekeeper in real life. Playing around with Bees in the sims 4 is fun. It’s not easy taking care of them . Never have bees around fall if your starting in real life and in the game . Do it around spring like you need to get the bees in real life around April spring and make sure you have Flowers’s or fruits or corn .

Don't forget that breeding frogs together produces even more frogs that you can sell! I've found that sometimes breeding certain frogs together produces more rare/uncommon kinds of frogs which can be sold for more money than the common ones (Although I don't know which combinations produce the best frogs). Also, I'd move the bee hive away from your plants a little. It seems as if they're attacking Sebastian when he's nearby (Particularly when the bees are enraged), so maybe if you move the hive away from the plants a little, Sebastian will be able to tend to them without getting stung so much!

You can still use the suit for applying mite treatment when they're irritable, and bond with them when they're calm.

You should make a cabin. Like a log ish one. Use laundry day stuff and season. It would be so woodsie (sp?). Also use all the bathroom stuff from the outdoor one in an spare outhouse bathroom. Yeah....so awesome. I feel like you would rock this.

When you build a home, you should do the rooms in the shape of honeycomb (suggested under a comment by HauntedShadowsLegacy). You could have a hexagon room with glass, inside multiple bee hives, attached in another honeycomb shaped room can be a greenhouse/garden -> then bedroom -> kitchen etc.
Your home would be a bee hive basically 🤗

Hey James, you should go to the festivals because sometimes they have herbs and veggies you can harvest there! For example the spice festival has like parsley and strawberries that you can harvest.
I love that you changed the calendar around to fit more with our Australian holidays!
This is awesome, and I can't wait for more! I was hoping that by the end game you will have the largest lot on the island as well as a greenhouse. But now that I'm thinking about it, does an actual greenhouse negate the seasonal growth rates of plants? That is, will you be able to grow all of the plants year round if you put them inside an enclosed building?
As a bee keepers daughter, bees are most attracted to blues, yellows and greens. It doesn't affect the game, but to make it more realistic you could change the hive to one of those😊
Glad to see you & the bees are finally bonding. The flowers aren't as bad as I thought. Keep snapdragons for the higher level floral arrangements or sell them for now rather than maintaining them until you need them & instead focus on flowers you can use now. I thought other commenters' idea that your whole home should end up being a greenhouse is hilarious. You will need 1 anyway, to plant throughout winter. My fave was the "can't spare a square" line. Loved that episode of Seinfeld! Rough start, but got a handle on things by the end. It's gonna be a great LP, I can feel it!
Edit: Maybe you could tell us a little more about Australian holidays American viewers might not know about?
You should actually go to festivals because they usually have various plants for you to harvest. Especially the romance festival, there's usually roses and bird of paradise. And Spice festivals tend to have blackberries and onions

You definitely should have bought the tent to have a place to get out of the rain. Plus you can read the Wilderness Digest for fun. It may be more comfortable than the camp bed as well. Hopefully it will also help shield you from cold weather as well!
For Anzac day you should do baking (Anzac biscuits!), attend ceremony (dawn parade!), and remembrance. Maybe give flowers as well like the Anzac poppies. . .

I'm totally seeing a super epic rustic style ranch with tons of green houses and a big family. You should also try to prioritize having a family in this series since so many of the holidays are family oriented. Get him a date by love day maybe;)

I’m making money via gardening in my game right now, and with 8 crops I can get over 1000 dollars. It’s actually so good and really fun to do with the sims. You’re going to make a LOT of money doing that! XD
I miss being able to swim in the ocean to get hygiene up a little bit, it was great for rags to riches. But I'm so excited to see all of the things that you can do with this pack now!

Won’t changing into beekeeping suit prevent you from being stung by the bees?
Hannah Pham Ye but it also stops you bonding with the bees and building a relationship with so it's win loose.
You can't bond with the bees when you're wearing the suit. I think you're supposed to use the suit if you have to collect honey or do mite treatment when the bees are in a bad mood. When they're in a good mood they won't sting you so you don't need the suit, especially if you already have a good relationship with them.
SomeoneBeginingWithI From watching this is looks a bit like the bees react to the mood of the sim. When the sim had bad stats and wasn't feeling good the bees didn't look to respond well to him. It will be fun to find out, not long to wait now 👏🏻

Have not thought about if it is actually possible, but might been interesting to make a seasonal restaurant. Using things that grow at different seasons for it, but then again not sure if they actually added enough the veggie types or make it possible.
I wish you could use fresh ingredients to reduce the cost of cooking in a restaurant like you can with normal cooking, but sadly that isn't a feature. You could still rotate the menu if you wanted to though.
If you wanted the seasonality to save you money, you could do a bakery with Get to Work, and use seasonal fresh baking ingredients.

You should probably look to build a green house before you build a home, to keep the plants safe, just throw a camper bed in it.
Ps: once you can graft you can bundle plants on groups of 3 (is round the most efficient grafting), you could have every plant in the game and only have to maintain 20 plants (with trash fruit and cow Berry separate, 22 but you might not want them) instead of having to maintain 60 plants
Most of my Winterfests are going to be Hanukkah. I can also see using fasting for Yom Kippur and grand feasts for Passover.
You'd be surprised how many homeless people have cell phones. A lot of outreach programs provide them with limited minutes.
Bees are awesome and account for every 1 out of 3 bites of food! 🐝they pollinate all sorts of vegetables and fruits as well as flowers!

oooh I don't think I would like living in Australia. having Christmas in the summer would just feel so wroooong. Although I did grow up in Southern California where it like... never snows anyways. So......... you would think that kind of transition would be fine. But no... honestly after I've moved up more north I really do prefer the changing of the seasons and listening to Christmas songs about how its cold outside or winter wonderland when its ACTUALLY cold outside and a winter wonderland. I wonder... do Australians just not listen to those kind of Christmas songs? Do they have a song about it being a sunny Christmas or something? they should. they should make those songs.
We're just used to having Christmas in Summer since it's how we've grown up! We pretty much have the same Christmas songs but might not sing the Winter themed ones as much.
