It is obvious that the writing team are predominantly heterosexual, that's what's heteronormative about it, that homosexual love is being reduced down to a one dimensional stereotype that Ste can jump from relationship to relationship, when in actuality this is simply not always achievable. It would be far harder to find queer love in a place the size of Hollyoaks in reality, as the amount of people simply wouldn't exist. Coronation Street is far more reflective with Sean Tully's character, I can't remember the last time he was in a serious relationship - which is unfortunately true for a lot of gay men. I think rex is bisexual as he seems to enjoy flirting with both men and women him and ste should definitely get together in a wired way I think they would make a cute couple

It was already hinted since the start, I have no problem at all, since he never mentioned that he was gay... My problem is when they estabilish a character as gay and then start to hookup with the opposite sex... This is bi erasure and it's problematic.
