Love the farmhouse and the outbuildings. So much potential. Great how you’ve got fruit trees and a grapevine. Nice spots for flower gardens. The verandah with its windows is glorious. What a lovely space to have cups of coffee/tea, read a book or just to while a way the hours. You’ve done so much to enhance the farmhouse already
I love your reportage. You tell your story with such detail, I can almost feel the atmosphere of the property. I especially love your veranda, with those magnificent sliding windows. What a treasure. I look forward to the next installment.
Love the veranda especially the huge sunny windows making insideout living a joy, can easily sit there year round with a woodstove even the winter. Lovely project
wow the veranda windows are a work of art! i love how they open up. What a lovely find your house is, it certainly was meant to be that you lost out on the others.
I just know I’m going to love your channel, I already do! Everything about it is wonderful, the atmosphere, the filming and your commentary. Looking forward to following your journey and can’t wait for your next vlog.
You already have a beautiful home that is welcoming and restful. Can't imagine how much prettier it will be when most of the work is done. What a peaceful place for your children to grow up too.
Your lovely home has so much character! The verandah with it's unique windows is a perfect area for 3 season enjoyment. Cosmos was one of my mother's favorite flowers. I plant it in her memory every year. You certainly chose a beautiful piece of property. Best wishes from the state of Wisconsin, USA
Thanks Linda, it's definitely a 3 seasons veranda. Last year we used it in the winter months with a warm sweater en a cup of tea it was oke. Cosmos is so lovely, what a lovely honour for your mother 🥰
How clever the way you had the words Veranda, Salle de bain, Chamber 2, etc. printed and cut out for your daughter to place on the bordered paper to mark the "chapters" of this vlog! Clever!
Yes, it reminded me of a Montessori lesson ...like the one my daughter attended as a child. Very clever and engages the children. Lovely to engage your boy in planting the Cosmos flowers as well.
I just discovered your channel and I am SO very happy I did! This will be so fun to follow your adventure. Your filming is wonderful - I wonder if you are a student of cinematography? I love the combination of renovating, gardening, cooking, and scenes of the beautiful countryside. Thank you so much for sharing! And greetings from Georgia USA.
Hi, no we are not students of cinematography. So we learning filming by doing it in the last few months since we started this channel.☺️ Thanks for your lovely comment
Thank you for sharing and congratulations on your new life. I look forward to further changes that you make over time. It seems like your husband has some building experience? He’s hardworking… always helpful to have a practical husband. Ha ha… I like Cosmos flowers very much and I grow them every year. Since they grow above 4 feet tall, next year, you may consider planting them in the area just below the trough area where you planted them this year …. The “trough area” is also great for growing herbs that you would use in the kitchen, and trailing plants that would drape over the edge. Sorry, I’m a keen gardener and I’m getting lots of ideas. Just my thoughts😊. Cosmos, grow sort of wild and get heavy and flop over sometimes. I learnt to snip off the top as the seedling gets to about 8 inches tall. That causes them to grow more side branches and more stable in the ground. I also plant them in between the rose bushes … I thought I’d share. Thank you, again.
Thanks for al the tips. In an other through area of our house we have at the moment grown herbes ☺️ My husband have indeed a lot of building experience. This is our 3th house witch needs a lot of rebuilding.
@@petitrevefrance ja zekers we willen in Normandië (nabij Fler .. Ger ..Sourdeval of Domfront ) wonen ... ook al paar huisjes bekeken irl , maar nog niet iets geschikt gevonden waar van wij zeggen ja dit is het ..... maar hebben nog tijd genoeg (binnen 5 jaar)
Couldn't you please show the BEFORE of all the rooms and the entire layout? It seems that there is a bit too much superfluous filming which has little to do with us visualizing what you have and where you want to go. The house and property seem lovely, but for us remodel addicts it's nice to see the starting point and the fascination with watching it grow into a true home. But I've subscribed to see how it goes, best of luck on your adventure!
Thank you for subscribing, and for wishing us luck :-) The video images are the starting point of the renovation, because we have not renovated anything yet. What it looks like now is the same as when we bought the house, we have only put our furniture in the house so far. Making the ceiling lighter is therefore one of the first jobs in our house. The only thing we have already done is a bedroom, but that will only be shown in a later video (that video is now being made). And if you have watched the video carefully, you will see the layout of our house of all the rooms we have shown so far. These are placed on a map by our daughter before we enter a new room. ;-) The rest of how the house looks and the whole layout will be in a new video.
@@petitrevefrance That's the point... your viewers like that Starting Point so that we can see what you have to work with and imagine how long it will take to accomplish your goal... and after much sweat and many a tear.... the happy ending 😉!!! If we had wanted to see a finished, ready to move in house we would go to knock on our neighbors door lol. So don't be shy or embarrassed, I watch these European remodels all the time and and believe me, it staggers my mind sometimes on what literal derelicts people are willing to take on, and actually end up turning into jewels. Your property is actually in pretty good shape and you have the good fortune of that big barn which will give you storage and also a work area for tools and materials out of the weather, that's a big bonus when remodeling. Plus you've got all that land and probably fruit trees that will keep your kids occupied and culinary largess for the whole family later on. When I moved into my wreck in Mexico 4 years ago I was going to the bathroom in a bucket for 4 months, had a microwave on the patio for cooking, lived on street tacos and fruit juice and kept sleeping in one dusty room after another as they tore things apart room by room and then put them back together for a year and a half. Trust me, this is perfectly normal if you are not filthy rich 🫣 😄! Cheers!
you're the first who can't hear me properly. At least I haven't had any complaints about it before. And we already have quite a few views on all our videos. I am not English and English is therefore not my native language. So yes, I may not always pronounce the words correctly 😅 but you can also turn on the subtitles so that it is easier to follow. have a nice day.
Anyone who has a hearing loss, even a slight one, will have a hard time hearing when music is playing. Often, when people have a problem in hearing the words & make a comment, they receive a negative response or nonresponsive reply. It's not surprising you don't see many comments.
That's sad to hear that many people with hearing problems are afraid to speak up. Otherwise they are afraid of the negative comments they will receive. We do not have a hearing problem ourselves, so we did not know that there are people who can hear us less well because of the music. Music in our eyes also adds a feeling to the video, hence the choice to add music to our videos. But we will definitely take into account, that we don't play music while talking. But to my English pronunciation, unfortunately I can't change anything,I am not an English speaking person by origin. So that's where I hope the subtitles can help at least a little bit.
It is a shame that you Play all that Music and talk. I love when you seethe person who steaks. And hear the sounds that are in the Nature when you film instead of Music. The Music is not very personly. I mish the real Sound from the farm and when you talk together. It is very stressful with all that Music. But you May have a Nice journey.
Just found your chanel and I am so glad i did! So inspiring! I look forward to follow you on your journey. All the best from Sweden☺️

It gives such a difference in the room. It is indeed a bit scary, because you don,t now what color is under it.

Love the crock with the staple repair. I am always on the look-out for them, finding them items of great beauty.
Sometimes cosmos will self-seed if you don't dead-head them but let them go to seed. Then you may not have to plant them again next year 🙂
Thanks for the tip! We will try it.
