I am a descendant of Ilya refined through my mother and I am fascinated by how much art talent there is in my family even now and I am hoping to make this a legacy to instil in my children and grandchildren

It is an interesting lecture. But, unfortunately, when answering the question about the relationship of Soviet art to nature, Dr. Joachim Pissarro did not say anything that a huge number of Soviet artists continued the pre-revolutionary tradition of realistic landscape. Many visual masterpieces were created in this tradition during the Soviet period. He also didn't mention the rugged style of the 1960s-70s. There were many outstanding works. Unfortunately, Dr. Pissarro very quickly jumped to the Moscow Conceptualists of the 1980s. I understand the limited time of the lecture did not allow many aspects to be covered. I hope that in next lectures Dr. Pissarro will be able to pay more attention to religious motifs in official Soviet art, especially in the period 1970-80.

this is not about Russian art as it is almost exclusively about religious Russia hailing the byzantine era alone, playing down almost everything that follows with a completely irrelevant - so distant from what the title suggest - assault as usual how boring on bolshevism and omitting so much of great Russian art during the 19 cent. So here we are yet again having to endure the devout self satisfied sanctimonious western tradition of spitting on Russia. last time for me watching anything from this guy

так они выросли на этом и другой наратив это значит лишиться работы и финансирования. Там же до сих пор только Россию обвиняют в том что у них самих случалось не раз или есть.
