MKII was my jam, it came out when I was in Junior High School. So hard to choose a favorite....Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kitana, Kung Lao...
Sub zero is badass! And the figure too!
I've been jamming MK since '96,,,Scorpion, Sub-Zero,Johnny Cage,Sonya Blade and Noob Saibot are ones of faves.
Sub-Zero is my favorite too but I'm better with Scorpion, on the OG machine.
They bring skins for characters from previous games but never brought this one. Smh
That sticky residue on the older body, is due to plasticizer separation. Normally it happens with very very old plastic figures (certain types of plastics and pvc). But some modern figures use very cheap grade plastics and start to separate much faster. If this happens to an unpainted plastic surface, you can safely wipe off the sticky residue with 90% rubbing alcohol. But the sticky residue may re-emerge again a year later.
Fantastic upgrade with the body and tunic paint job.

Bi-Han/Original Sub-Zero had a different outfit in Mortal Kombat (2011). He had that ninja suit that was simpler than Kuai Liang's but sleeker and more streamlined. He also has a different face when you look closely.

Looks great with the upgrade. Definitely a hard one to find (already looked) so will hope someone does a movie version. Mk9 design is pretty close to classic but my favourite is the MKX design which the movie heavily borrowed from.

So glad you told me about the Angelus Leather Paint. I have a Sideshow Collector Buffy the Vampire Slayer "Vampire" Spike and a Star Wars Episode 3 Anakin Skywalker who vest is having leather flaking issues. So now i can try to fix them.

Man, that body swap made a world of difference. It went from a figure that I felt “I dont need this” to “shit...I think I have to have this” hopefully, even though I personally felt the new movie...left a lot to be desired, let’s say, I’m interested to see if any third parties try to make figures from the movie.
But I do prefer this costume to the movie one. Great review, as always.

Actually bi han has a different mask. Kuai Liang just sometimes has a scar and sometimes doesn't so it's a choice of which version you prefer

You better do Scorpion. This Sub-Zero looks so damn good! I wish he came with more ice effects, and I definitely think the lack of a display base was a missed opportunity, for sure. Especially if they did something with Scorpion and Sub Zero together. But for what it is, the figure itself is really awesome looking. Shame about not getting the ice sword, and again it kind of boggles my mind why he didn't even come with any ice blasts. I suppose there are plenty of those type of effects out there, though, easy enough to make something work.

I'm pretty sure both head sculpts are the same Sub-Zero as he does get the scar in the game. Bi-han's costume in the game is actually different, this is the younger Sub's outfit

First have to say amazing save and great work with those mods. Such shame fig not holding up to time…but Got to give it to the king of cold shoulders. Sub zero Is Def Chill. Sweet to see u getting more mortal kombat figs. One of My sons favorite Guys is sub zero. To bad subs is my second favorite. Sure we all can guess my favorite is scorpion…get over here….lol. But honestly we all know who really is everyone’s favorite. Guy who has been around since 1992 but obviously been hiding in the back ground pulling scorpions strings. Everyone loves Cole. Omg he is so awesome. Such a amazing fighter in the games just can’t describe to you the fatalities and how he fought in the first MK 1 to MK11. He is that good u just can’t explain it. Just glad they didn’t make a new Mortal Kombat movie and have some no name new character as the main character we all have to follow and support who is the chosen one. How weird would that been to have happen.

I picked him up last year too, I love the swap out for the M33! I might have to do that as well. Was is easy to get the clothes and belt off or do you need to sew and glue anything?

I think Bi-Han is the one with the scar on his eye (because of Scorpion's chain spear) and the Quai Liang (excuse my spelling) is the one with normal eyes.
