Holy shit this version hit me so much more emotionally than the original. The lyrics and the simple yet murky guitar progression paints such a scene of emotional turmoil then the bright vocal melody opposes that with a sense of overcoming that it makes my soul cry. Connecting it to Aqua's past trauma and realizing his suppressed emotions are burning him up from the inside and the only way to unleash it is to act his heart out like the desperate scream into the night of a lonely castaway. I really like this song.
