    I am 57 yrs old. I have heard all my life that “the Old Testament isn’t really as important as The New Testament “. I believe from day one, that GOD put it on my heart that this was NOT CORRECT and I have always read and in fact loved the O.T. I am so glad I listened to what GOD put on my heart as a young girl.

      There is no old and new testament. The translators give it these names. Isa.8:20/Matt.5:17-19. John 17:17/ps.119:89,142.

    Our churches have failed us and we are no where near ready for what's coming. We must get back to the Torah. We must listen to our Father and find our way back.

      Amen. It's just scary how ill equipped the church has taught. Thank God for everyone who found this. Looks like we are going back to our basics and it looks like it's to teach in our homes first. COVID 19 isn't the scariest thing to me it's not being truly equiped is. I'm glad I always ask questions and seek deeper into things.

      Brother, I think I understand what you mean... as the church failure... but we are all guilty in this failure... as we left it to church to teach... didn't take responsibility to know the truth ourselves. It is imperative that as Followers of Yeshua that we not find fault and blame BECAUSE the finger always ends up in our own court. We left relationship building teaching to a church, we left church and community service to a government, and most grievingly, we left states run schools to teach our children. So in fact it's not the church failure, it's every single individual who has a heart and mind who left it to those entities to do the thing God instructed us to do... in the Torah. Deuteronomy 6. The failure is in each of our hands, as a body, if we can not repent of our part... we have little hope to be a light of the fact that it is the GOODNESS of God that leads to repentence...I pray you not see my comment as rebuke to you but simply a qualification to be read by any who read it and are caught up in blame. It's no small thing to be angry at unrighteousness... this reflects the heart of God, but it's not the fault of mankind or any institution set up thereby that has blinded us. It is or has been our own apathy and distraction that collectively led to such things. I am guilty, I repent... the origin of blame is me... not a church, government or system. Those things will be judged one day by Messiah, but it's not for us to do. To encourage other pastors and teachers to do as this pastor is doing, we must come with humility and the energy of renewal that comes from learning of GOD... not just about Him but really knowing HIM!! This is the salt!! As we repent, and do Torah...our salt becomes richer!! Our patience greater for those who without realizing it relayed their responsibility to those things too. No one wakes up one day and says "I'm going to be lazy in my heart and give all the responsibility to church, pastors, teachers, congressman, mayors, governors...etc, to live the right things and teach them." We just do it, perhaps because that's all we knew, perhaps not... only God can know. It is the grace of God to know the balance of what influenced us in niavevity and ruled us in ignorance. How we extend that grace is to leave it to Him and love... like we need love even though we did the same. Shalom to you, in the name of Yeshua the Messiah...

      I would encourage you to read The New Testament and then go back and reread the Old Testament. What will happen is that you will have more background knowledge regarding phrasing and words from the New Testament that will make the Old Testament light up. Example in the New Testament Jesus identifies himself as the light as in the light of the world. Then when you go back and you read Genesis, where the first thing that God said at the beginning of the creation. “let there be light.” I believe a reference to the Hebrew for the word “light” may reveal the same word as used in both sentences. I believe this is because the Bible is multi layered. If this is so then the genesis scripture, “let there be light” is not only describing God creating our universe here, but also is symbolic of Jesus prophetic birth. This is Comprehensible when you consider the ubiquitous of God. And other words, a characteristic of God is that he can be everywhere at all times, including past present and future. Pray about.

      What I have come to see as I walk with Yah is that Roman Catholic Church worships another god and messiah. Which is why the teachings are not only watered down, but some if it even misleading. And it explains what they’ve done throughout history and the evil they continue to do (including claiming the pope is God).

I am so convinced that we can gain such a deeper understanding of the Scriptures by attempting to look through the eyes of the people that wrote it, and the people that it was originally written FOR. I marveled as I watched these instructive and entertaining videos, and of history of God's plan for us. On UA-cam one can find the several books of the apocrypha which give much insight to things we scratch our heads about that are omitted by Mr. Bradford. To grow even more listen to Assembly of Called Out Believers, Chuck Missler, Rabbi Mordachi Kraft, and also delve into the Bereshit prophecy, meanings of the names of the patriarchs. This is my latest study and I still feel that I have barely scratched the surface!

    I am thankful for the assumption that the Bible is true. As much as I love apologetics, and even came to believe through such study of apologetics, that is not the focus of the church. At least it isn't supposed to be. The focus is to equip believers with a greater understanding of their faith, along with encouraging them through fellowship as we gather together each week. Church isn't supposed to be geared to non-believers, yet we have this idea of inviting them to church on Sunday. They can certainly come, but we need a more through message taught that's really not for the lost, but for the saved. Outreach, apologetics, etc are important, but for a different place than normal church service.

    • @johnc1014
      @johnc1014 4 роки тому +4

      @@letilumak How is that not true? We are supposed to go and make disciples of all nations. Church on Sunday should better prepare us to do that and give us a more thorough message in our own faith beyond what a nonbeliever would understand.
      I fear churches are too focused on sharing the foundational message of the Gospel and elementary principles of the faith, while neglecting more solid spiritual food. The foundation is certainly important, but we need to be equiped beyond that.

    Amazing expository teaching, I understood that doctrine and tradition come from human interpretation, and there is systematic theological vision and jewish vision. Other information is the Bible that there is no division between OT and NT, but there is continuation of the Bible. I learned that better way to learn more is study the Bible without human theological glasses, without loos your contribution. I thank you for your liberality to teach us. Another way of knowing God is through his creation. I'm pretty sure there is a line in scripture that states, and I paraphrase, that no man is without excuse because they can see his creation. Anyone looking at nature can see how marvelous and interconnected it is. Peace. Do you want to know God's nature, look at nature.
    Thank you for this teaching and this teacher. I intend to listen to the entirety of these videos on UA-cam. Peace, love and blessings.

    I am 70 years old and have never heard Coke used as a generic term for soft drink. When someone says let's get a Coke a Coca-Cola immediately comes to mind not a Root Beer or an Orange Crush.

    Yes, Jesus came to fulfill the law. Only He could live a perfect sinless life. Showing us it is only through His salvation, not by good works, are we saved. The law or commandments showed us we couldn’t live up to them because of our sin nature. It exposed our nature. It convicts us. Without it we would not recognize our sin through God’s eyes. But then God loved us so much He provided the perfect sacrifice once and for ALL. The perfect sacrificial lamb, Jesus Christ. The old testament is the “foreshadowing” of the new. They all are inspired by God. A complete word. Amen

    Good study! The example that was made about the usage of the word, Coke, as an alternate word for any carbonated drink was news to me. The word I hv heard used is soda or soda pop.
    Through the years I hv learned that the word translated as Law is really, Instruction. The misuse of biblical words has been tremendous!

    I am so excited to see this.. after reading Torah (still reading) it becomes more clear what Quran is saying. There is continuity till the end. Seems like Quran is the more up to date version of Torah.

      @TorahClass  5 років тому +12

      Hi Noor, you make an interesting observation by saying that the Quran is a more up-to-date version of the Torah. What would lead you to think that this is the case? Why not simply accept Torah as the best version of itself, since it was given directly from the Father YHWH?
      Blessings!

      Noor Khan, the qur'an is a perversion of God's word. Many men have come to rewrite the direct word of God and call it "updated," like Mormons, Jehovah's witnesses, and Muslims. False prophets.
      Why pervert the direct word of God? What man could say it better than the Almighty?
      I will stick to the original, free from corruption.

      @@corilou5273 I agree, the word has been altered throughout history. The only thing that makes sense is reaching for the source.
