What handheld marine radio do you recommend trying to get my kayak setup for 1or2 miles off shore at the most. Got a hobie passport 12. Someday I want to do your sheep head trip
Hey Glenn! I recently just picked up kayak and is new to bay fishing. I was wondering about the bait barge. Do I need to have a live-well set up like yours to be able buy bait? Or can I use like a 5 gallon bucket with a lid and aerator? Any info would be great. Thank you
The sardines need new water every 2-3 minutes so a bubble won't work. When my bait tank has a problem I'll just bring a little bucket and dump fresh water on em. You could make a bait tank out of a dog food container. There are lots of tutorials on UA-cam on how to build one🤘
@metalvillain121 if you have a yak ya can grab live bait feom the bait barge. If your going from shore, anything white or chartreuse is best. A white curly tail on a drop shot is money
@DennisCrain-c7t OTL. You won't regret it. We'll have a place with an RV on the island so you could leave your yaks right on the water at our camp site and fish all week
Nice day on the water. 😊
Woot!

@dalegrauberger783 oh dude.... you'll love the sheephead trip. We use the standard horizon radio. It's waterproof and floats
