It's lovely to watch Bip going from fear of skating, to trying to skate, to succeeding at skating in such a way that everyone can relate to. Brilliant.

Marcel Marceau was a Jewish memeber of the French Resistance in World War ll. His father was killed in Auschwitz. The first time he used mime was after France was invaded, in order to keep orphaned Jewish children quiet while he helped them escape to neutral Switzerland. After the War he became friends with Michael Jackson, who said he would use some of his techniques in his dance steps.

I went to the Teather to see Marcel Marceau. That was the more wonderful impact in my life, Marcell was not only the perfect mime but the more artistic creator I ever met in my life. After his performance I interchange some words with him. He was brilliant, sensible, excellent listener, and he truly love so much what he was doing An Angel sent by God. "THE ARTIST OF ARTISTS OF THE SILENCE"

I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't know this man's incredible story until recently. The worst things we ever did to each to each other seemed condensed into that 6 or 7 yrs of WW2. But also, the BEST we've ever done, too. Just regular folk doing amazing things. Because it was needed. So many stories in such a short time.

      @@DwightLivesMatter
Perhaps, in some ways. Like I said, there can be overlap between the two, but I still say they are something distinct from one another.
The way I view "art" is that it expresses and touches something much deeper than what mere entertainment does. It somehow edifies us and enriches our lives in a profound and long-term way (as opposed to the shallower and more temporary enrichment of entertainment).
I see this mime stuff as being more akin to an artform like dance, some kind of poetic physical expression of human essence. But I guess someone else might see it totally differently, and just get a kick out of watching someone move around all "silly" and whatnot. To me it's more art, to them it's more entertainment. I guess it is, to some extent, in the eye of the beholder. But yeah, I don't see "Art" and "Entertainment" as being essentially identical things.
