I love to take my writer/blogger sims out to restaurants to just order a coffee or tea and write. I find it can get boring just writing in my sims room or office all the time and it’s nice to change the scenery. I loved this video and playing the sims like this is very therapeutic
A couple months ago I found the 'talk radio' radio station. So when my Sims wake up I turn it on. And pretend they are listening to a podcast or news ☺️
@@LeeLeeBSimming here is a video to hear what it's like this one sound more news like but the are some chill ones ua-cam.com/video/BHuJvsskg0E/v-deo.html
I just want to add, utilizing the yard sale table is awesome. My sim right now does mani pedis Monday through Thursday but because she likes baking, I have her doing bake sale fridays! I'm thinking in the future it might lead her to opening her own store :) she is definitely miss independent
Aww, this is adorable! I'm definitely going to add a Sunday Funday to my calendar. I rarely take my sims to get mani pedis. Or, even use restaurants. Definitely going to build a coffee shop/library ☕️
Brushing your sims' teeth actually has a good use. You already know that it gives them a confident moodlet wich itself can be useful for some social interactions, but did you know that it also gives you the option to check self out in the mirror? When you do this your sim will have an emotional reaction to their reflection. This can add to storytelling for more personality. They sometimes become self conscious. Though the moodlet isn't always the strongest depending on what other moodlets they have, how strong the other ones are and how long each one last. They can also become more confident.
Thank you for doing this video. As a therapist, I applaud you teaching people how self-care and mental health is important and must have a space in our daily life. Because if you play to take care of your sim, you remember to take care of yourself as well. This has much more deepper meaning than you think. Thank you 💚
I love this idea of "patiently playing." I have a laundry list of things i want to get my families to do, but this inspires me to just take my time with them all. Also, I (accidentally) cheated my sims lifespans to be 4x longer than the Long lifespan using MCCC, so since I've got a ton of extra time with them, I might as well use it! :)
I started playing like this and honestly it makes you like your sims even more :) I used to play on speed 2x all the time and I made it a challenge to not speed my game and it’s been so amazing
I love this video and the tips! Sending my Sims for a jog (bike ride or dog walk) is a de-stresser for me as well. I like to zoom in on the Sims and take in the scenery (especially HOB and Tartosa). I feel like when I play my game zoomed out, there is a disconnect. Same with walls down. I also love extended family dinners and taking the nieces and nephews for icecream and stuff like that. Alsooo if you like to keep track of the sim’s timeline/milestones, you can take a picture of the sim doing something major like feeding their newborn baby for the first time, and then tap the little camera shutter on the bottom of the ui, and you can create a memory of that picture and from there you can make your sims reminisce about that time. thank you evan 🥹💙 im going to do more videos like this for sure! idk why I care about our pixel people so much but I just want to make it feel immersive like you said haha im happy you enjoy them
Oshin, your content is always pitch perfect, and comes right on time! This video reminded me not only to slow my play down in the Sims, but to also try to slow my life down, and enjoy the moment rather than speeding through my day and wondering why I’m overwhelmed and exhausted 😅 You and your peaceful vibe are an absolute gem!
I always love these gameplay tips. as a sims player who plays every day and has a embarrassing amount of hours in the game... it sometimes gets a bit had to think of new things to do. so these kind of inspiration tips are always welcome!
This was so therapeutic and beautiful! I think the sims 4 community can get so full of hating on the game and comparing it to Sims 3 that it definitely negatively impacts the playing experience. We spend so much time building the perfect homes or fine tuning their appearance in CAS that we forget to just live and spend time with them too 🦋 Which is such a metaphor for real life as well! We can get so focused on 'leveling up' instead of just being in the moment. I found myself getting so attached to my sims and their personalities when I played slow and switched off auto-aging. I don't feel the need to have like 10 generations, download 5 houses off the gallery anymore or keep buying more packs because I actually feel invested in the world now
Even though this was for Sims, it's a great reminder for me to make time to slow down and do things I enjoy in the morning (instead of just rushing around and feeling like I'm not accomplishing anything). I'd love to incorporate this into my Sims gameplay, too!
I love your gameplay style! You've really inspired me to slow down in my own gameplay:) I had a sim who was an actress, but she likes to practice writing in the hopes of one day being good enough to write a novel and be an author, so every day before she goes to work, I have her do her lil morning routine- brush teeth, get dressed for the day, make a coffee and drink it while she writes on her laptop! It's the little things like that, that make the gameplay feel so much more alive! I'd love to see more videos like this:)
I've been playing over 20 years and this video alone drastically changed how I play. My Sim just had the best day I've ever seen one have on her self care day. Thanks so much for making Sims feel new and exciting again!
I’m currently getting ready to set up a sim who is a ESL teacher in MT. Komo. I feel like that world is very slow paced and calm. I’m going to try to take my time and play mindfully. Self Care Tips I try to follow. I’m a homemaker and sometimes I can get caught up in the hustle and bustle of day to day life or fall into the traps of social media. 1. Log off Social Media or remove them from your Home Screen. 2. Read or Listen to an audiobook. Bonus points for doing it while outside if the weather is nice. 3. Call, text or meet up with a friend for a lunch date or better yet take yourself out on a date or dine at home. 4. Be mindful of the words you speak. I am a firm believer in Life and Death is in the power of the tongue. It’s one thing to think something it’s another to speak it into existence. So speak positive about yourself. 5. It’s okay to take a break. It’s okay not to be okay. We all need to take time to recharge. If that means not getting everything done because you decided to take a mental health day. That’s fine.
This reminds that ever since I started a "slow wake up" routine I have felt so much better. Instead of rolling out of bed at 8:50 and turning on my work laptop, I wake up earlier to a nice music station, drink mint tea and eat while my coffee brews and then listen to asmr as I drink my coffee. Highly recommend if you WFH, don't have kids and usually wake up at 8:59 lol
this is like such a tiny detail but i just love when u want to change your sims outfit, dont just click on it but go click on the a closet or dresser or whatever its called and select change outfit there. then sims will go to the closet which is so much more realistic!
In which save file do you play? It looks so amazing! My in real life self care tip is changing your bed sheets, take a hot shower and then watch a movie in bed. :) Something I sometimes do in my gameplay is that I make a little yard sale with my Sim kids. We bake together different goods and then sell it in front of our house. I sometimes donate the money or buy something for my child.
I play real slow ever sins sims 3. I need to play with aging off because sims age too fast for me. That is why I am so thankful for the calendar so I know know how long a year is, (I play with 4 week months), and my sims age one year at a time not one life stage at a time. Also I adjust my sims appearance to reflect the age I see them as. Example pre teens are still children until they hit puberty and when they are teens in game but say 11 or 12 I give them a younger appearance. If they are 12 but late puberty still kids but look and act like preteens. Adults are 45-65/75 in my game because people irl age differently. I know I went off topic here, lol. But this video made me feel the need to share that. 🙂
This was such a calm and soothing video. I try to play slowly and be intentional with my Sims but sometimes I just rush through. I like your suggestions - especially with the tripod. I like to make memories in the game but owning all the packs I forget what features are available and useful. Thank you for covering some gameplay I didn’t know about.
I loved this! You're right, it's the simple tedious every day or weekly things that make that connection to your Sim strong. I'm definitely gonna add Self Care Sunday to their calendar 🥰
Hey love, I love your channel. It always relaxes me. Your voice is so soothing. Can I ask where you got the braids from? And if you could do a cc look book etc.
OSHIN!!!!!! I LOVED this so much! I created a machinima, cozy story vibe vid about Selfcare. I enjoyed seeing you switch her coffee up for tea, setting the relaxing vibes using candles and incense....getting out the house, ahhh this vid was filled with so much goodness. I really enjoyed it. I also have been trying to get my Sims to become health nuts. It's good to know that it takes a sim week of eating healthy foods or using that cheat. Thank you for sharing! 🤗
I enjoyed this video a ton, it definitely inspired me all over again and I feel like we tend to forget or not pay that much attention to certain interactions that do bring out some sense of reality to our sims! 💙
My brain is caught between "ohhh this seems so nice" and the fact that I've been playing with my extremely chaotic cousin on call telling me what we should do lol
Oshin xoxox honestly yes, the brushing teeth thing is underrated! I make sure my sims' pearlies are brushed to send them off to school or work confident. Makes for realistic gameplay plus I imagine their day goes better having that positive moodlet. And if I play with kids I make sure to send a lunchbag if they're running a bit late for that extra positive moodlet/vibe.
I love the idea of self care days or moments for my sims. I like adding a yoga mat, incense, going on a walk or just taking a nice bath. I always use spas during gameplay.
Okay I came to this vidoe again because I’m obsessed it’s all keyed so aesthetically when your talking about hello fresh it look like a sims cooking the meal you have th Best ideas and also the sim😍 the sim is soo prettyyy 😭😭
Most of your tips for gameplay apply to my real life lol I'm a Sim. For real though, life can get so hectic and we don't really enjoy life. And we always complain that sims' autonomy is kind of boring cus they immediately go on the phone whenever they're doing nothing... and I mean, I'm watching your video while procastinating on my homework, while multitasking on my phone checking social media. So yeah, I think we should all try to apply some self care both as gameplay and in real life...
When I have a multi sim household, I like to make one of the sims take a “sick day” from work/school and just go do whatever all day with that one sim. Let them spend time on their hobbies, spa, take them to the city if they are a country sim, you name it!
You're sponsored by HelloFresh! Congrats! I've been watching you for so long and you got me through the tough beginning of the pandemic. I love how much you're growing and I can't wait to watch you grow even more!
Ok but your sim's house is lovely!! My health care tip is to pretend I'm a Sim and I have no choice but to drink water, wash my face, go jogging, and such.
Hello Oshin ☺, i love this kind of videos so much 😍. Your Way to play the game inspired me so much. There are so many things that bothers me so much but at the moment i try to enjoy the game with some improvements of my playstyle. And your videos helped me a lot. Thank you so much for your effort which you put in every video. Hope you have a wonderful day. 🥰
This is really cute. I created this super stressful bank job in my game for my sim so she spends her weekends away on 2 day vacations to decompress. I just bought a bunch of spa items for her to use after work cause she has the high maintenance and is ALWAYS in an angry mood 😂
Holidays make the year so much more interesting. Especially if you have seasons set to 14 days, or are playing on long lifespan with them set to 28 days. Im so sad we can't import holidays between saves. It takes so long to replace them each time.
I love you and I love your videos so much. My day is always made when you post, I was having a rough day with my toddler and your videos are always so relaxing besides "Lovesick" which is my type of drama. I hope that one day you'll have a meet and greet so we can meet you! You're my favorite youtuber and I share all your videos with my friends. Thank you for this video and all you do.
This video is actually great because as much as I try to play my game patiently and not rush into things, I always end up getting impatient and rush anyway lol. Also, this reminds me of things that are in the game that I don't use nearly enough, like the camera and tripod and the calendar.
My prefect sims self care day! 1: in the morning we just meditate and then take a bubble bath 🛀 *seems to always boost their moods* 2: we make a nice salad for breakfast and light some candles 🕯 3: take a jog 🏃♂️ and do some skincare (slice of life mod required) And more
good to see I am not alone on a few of the quirky little things I do. Brushing teeth - doing their yoga YO-GA YO-GA YO-GA in the morning before the day begins. I almost complete the mastermind challenge (500k) with a vegetarian fuss budget with lactose intolerance - i gave up after elder for 3 weeks - he had the guru asperation
This video is making me so excited to play again, I think I’m going to try playing with a long life span! I just really want to enjoy playing with my sim and not feeling too rushed, but great vid :) I love how chill it was ❤️❤️

You are easily one of my fav simmers on youtube, your voice is calming and you play in a similar way to me! My favourite videos you make are like, realistic gameplay mods
Why did I not know that the incense could actually be used!!!! And tbh I wish that time in the day on the game was 120 second for an hour and not 60. The day goes so fast. & I knew jogging was a thing but I thought you had to be an active sim to do it! Thank you so much for these suggestions! I never use my bike either. So this definitely gives me more to do! ❤️♉️🧘🏽♀️✨ I love this!
Just came across your channel. And I loved this little video. I ALWAYS play story-oriented, and sometimes it does get a bit... Eh... this was a nice idea of how t make the week more fun and different. Thank you!
You literally make me want to go play sims 4 when I'm watching your videos 😊 I think if you have a large family, you could give them all a day each 😌 thank you for your videos ❤️
Thanks for the great video! These are great ideas. I definitely need to stop zooming through my Sims games! And your voice is so beautiful and calming 🙂😋
Comment totally unrelated to this video; I love hellosfresh! My husband and I are so so bad at meal prep😮💨 so hello fresh is our meal prep and it's great🤩!! If you're completely plant based it won't be for you thoo🥲

My health care tip is to pretend I'm a Sim and I have no choice but to drink water, wash my face, go jogging, and such.
I’ve never thought of doing this with my sims! I haven’t played in a while so I’m definitely going to pick it up and add in some self care days 🌱
Aaah Oshin I absolutely adore what you bring to the Sims community! & just as a creator as well! Your pacing & editing is👩🏾🍳😘✨
Thanks lovely 🥰✨
Hello Oshin ☺, i love this kind of videos so much 😍. Your Way to play the game inspired me so much. There are so many things that bothers me so much but at the moment i try to enjoy the game with some improvements of my playstyle. And your videos helped me a lot. Thank you so much for your effort which you put in every video. Hope you have a wonderful day. 🥰
i love how your house simply just looks like sims 3 and now im dying bc I MISS IT SO MUCH THO 😭😭
sorry if it looks like the older sims, i only played the 3 and 4 :')
You are so sweet, thank you so much! As a mama, I totally understand. Sending hugs ☺️💙
This video is actually great because as much as I try to play my game patiently and not rush into things, I always end up getting impatient and rush anyway lol. Also, this reminds me of things that are in the game that I don't use nearly enough, like the camera and tripod and the calendar.
My prefect sims self care day!
1: in the morning we just meditate and then take a bubble bath 🛀 *seems to always boost their moods*
2: we make a nice salad for breakfast and light some candles 🕯
3: take a jog 🏃♂️ and do some skincare (slice of life mod required)
And more
Ooo and baking cookies 🍪
Oh and if you have parenthood pack the journal 📓 that comes with it is nice
Omgsh!!! I never knew most of these and didn’t know about the incenses ❤
I love lighting the incense for the moodlets but I’ve started so many fires because of them 😂😂😂😂😂
This was so sweet! Really needed this reminder to slow in my gameplay and even in my daily life! Great video!
oooo where did you get the object that allows you to choose from coffee and tea? loving the video so far! this helps a lot!!
oh that’s by Ravasheen, it’s called the personal tea brewer I believe ! 💙 I use that a lot too
thank you!! 🤍
good to see I am not alone on a few of the quirky little things I do.
Journaling is a Must !!
This a great idea. I have a single mom sim who is going absolutely crazy. She needs a weekly self care routine for sure!
This made me think of other slow down things my sims should do, Date nights, Family Game Nights...etc.
This video is making me so excited to play again, I think I’m going to try playing with a long life span! I just really want to enjoy playing with my sim and not feeling too rushed, but great vid :) I love how chill it was ❤️❤️
I came back to this video because I needed help I just need to say this u are so much more interesting than other yts no shade but like I jsut lvoe u u have the best sims and letsplays the best videos with great tips ! aww thank you, i really appreciate it :)
I think i rarely see my sims all happy totaly this is such a great idea to make them happy relax, thanks🌺✌️
I love her bonnet!
Great vid, as always. I also do a Self-Care holiday for my Sims, using LittleMissSam's Wellness Traditions Mod! The decoration of this Sim's home is so cozy, and green. Is your Sim's bed CC? I'm obsessed!
That bed came from Max20’s Master Bedroom CC Pack! www.patreon.com/posts/master-bedroom-62104184?
I’m sooooo proud of you and how far you’ve come the channel. I’m still in love with your soothing voice and I’m binge watching today!!!😘😘😘😘
Love this video. I actually play this way. Self care day and my sims do brush their teeth. lol
You are easily one of my fav simmers on youtube, your voice is calming and you play in a similar way to me! My favourite videos you make are like, realistic gameplay mods
i freakin love Self-care Sunday! Never thought of that!! thanks for sharing
Wow! This is a whole new attitude for the game! Never thought about it, thank you 💚
But your voice is sooooo relaxing 🤣 I had to watch it again to actually watch it
Dang I never knew that about the tripod. Definitely going to need to use that more.
you just made me wanna take better care of myself IRL😂
I love your voice! It’s so soothing
Love how much effort you put into realistic game play, I'm really inspired :)
Thanks for all the lovely wonderful ideas ✌💗🙏
I love this idea I will definitely be adding this to my gameplay. Thank you so much. I forget self care Sunday for myself, maybe this will inspire me
Why did I not know that the incense could actually be used!!!!
Haha wow! I made a Self Care Saturday holiday last week in my game! It’s the day after Love Day 😂😂
If anyone was curious, it involves exercise, appreciating an object, resolutions, gardening for adults and an egg hunt for kids 💙
I always do this with my sims! It just makes them feel more realistic
Just came across your channel. And I loved this little video. I ALWAYS play story-oriented, and sometimes it does get a bit... Eh... this was a nice idea of how t make the week more fun and different. Thank you!
Your voice is so relaxing ❤

Omg I need to add the self care days 😮😮😮

This is so helpful for dynamic gameplay!
Comment totally unrelated to this video; I love hellosfresh! My husband and I are so so bad at meal prep😮💨 so hello fresh is our meal prep and it's great🤩!! If you're completely plant based it won't be for you thoo🥲
I inspire to eat more plant based for sure! :)
