Love this video. I backed the KS for the game and haven't broken it out yet. Your enthusiasm really ignited the spark for me to start giving it a go. Thank you!
Great video, such an excellent game. Like you I like to randomize the squadron selection. Motivated me to pull out my game and play a quick game with the UK-FAA in Sumatra. Lost one pilot (MIA) over the 3 days.
I've had this sitting on my shelf for awhile now, not knowing where to start. This video has inspired me to dive in, despite the errata involved. Thank you for getting my enthusiasm up to set this up! You've made it easy to subscribe!
Thanks Jim! Yes, there is errata but don't let that put you off. I just printed it off from BGG (although I believe DVG are bringing out an errata pack in the near future).
Hello and first off I want to say thank you for making these videos which do what the Rulebook does not do well ....and that is explain how to play this game. I have played board Games since the 1970s and have never experienced the poorly written rules that are typical of the Leader Series. However you have managed to answer a couple of questions for me with this video. Thanks again and well done.
I don’t have any of the DVG Leader games yet but most of them are on a list to buy. A good play through. I like your house-rules for keeping things tidy. I’ll be back for more.
Hi Shane, sorry for the late reply (I don't seem to get notifications when a comment is made anymore). Any DVG game is worth buying - that's an honest recommendation. Thanks for the comment 😊
Really enjoyed this one, thanks for posting and the tips. I hardly play this because of the ridiculous amount of pilot cards, sleeving the 3 cards per pilot in one sleeve is going to make a huge difference when trying to get this to the table, it immediately cleaned up the box too! I painstakingly went through all the cards to weed out 40-50% of them before I knew about the app, but it does sound fun. :)
Looking forward to this series. I own Sherman Leader and B-17G Flying Fortress Leader. I would like one more Leader game but not sure which to get. This one is on my shortlist.
Great suggestion on the card sleeves and keeping the 3 cards together for each pilot. I wasn’t going to sleeve but think I will now. I’ve never sleeved before, any suggestions on brands? Looking forward to getting thru the series here.
Thank you for the kind comment on the video and hope you enjoy the rest of the series. The sleeves I use are known as 'standard size' and I tend to use Mayday (63.5mm x 88mm) but other makes are Ultimate and Dragon Shield. Whatever make you get, just make sure that they have a coloured back (in case they accidentally flip over!). If can be a bit of a tight fit for 3 cards, so be careful but after a while they do stretch.
Print out more skill tokens on paper. Cut them out and with a small piece of double sided tape, stick it to the sleeve. It will stay in place for the whole campaign. Easier than making a lot of cardboard tokens.
ok i started playing board game after seeing my son and his friends form a Board Game club and but i like soltaire game especially wargame since when i am a kid; i am 62 now. Anyway i like your video

All the Japanese soldiers in the pacific were scared because the strength of the leader is extremely sublime.
Thank you very much for this nice and very watchable video. It is a good refresher for this game that I was in the mood of picking back up!
Oh, and thanks for pointing out the app! I wish there were more also for the other games in the series!
Glad you enjoyed it, Riccardo! 👍
Love your videos. Keep it going. You do a great job of showing how the game is played, without being long winded like some others tend to be.
Thank you Suvorov928, and appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Excellent video and I like the card sleeves. I like things tidy as you do.
Hi Ken, a few people have commented on the sleeves - keeps them from sliding all over the place (and tidy!) ;)
Your enthusiasm and narration are infectious...I'm breaking out a game while watching you!
Good Luck!
Random pilot selection adds a level of excitement. having all six pilot cards in a sleeve makes that possible.
Thanks for doing this playthrough Rough!
Glad you enjoyed it, Lauren! :)
Great vid! Cheers from an overseas 'neighbour' from the Netherlands 😉
Thanks for watching!

Give it a go - you won't regret it, it's great!

Hi Jason, glad you like the video. Yes, I am Mr. Randomiser when it comes to this game! Sorry to hear about your MIA, though.
Keep up the good work, I've subscribed!

That's a really beautiful board. Game looks great 😃
Dan from NEH is awesome - he has really been influential for my growing knowledge since I got back into the hobby.

I use a very similar method when I rest my crews in B-17 Leader. I enjoy following along in your videos.
@ Kurt the cat Great minds?... Thanks for the kind comment :)

Thank you, Mr. BassMan and I hope you now get the game out more often! :)
Looks like a great game - bought it used a few months ago, so must get it to the table!
Looking forward to this series. I own Sherman Leader and B-17G Flying Fortress Leader. I would like one more Leader game but not sure which to get. This one is on my shortlist.
This one's great - there is a bit of errata but that's easily sorted out
Hey! My pilot got chosen! Can’t wait to see how I do... :)
Lol - I thought I recognised the name! Hope you enjoy the videos. :)

ThanX. Very helpfull !!!!
Glad it helped, Mark! :)
What an interesting game. The gameboard looks awesome. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Fritz. DVG games are great fun.

Hi Robert, great idea! Unfortunately, I've already made 4 of each skill as cardboard tokens!!
can you review gato leader thank you very much; i just silent victory and corsair leader
Hi somers lim, I'm afraid I don't have a copy of Gato Leader but rest assured if I get hold of one, I'll do a playthrough! 😊

I got this message when I clicked on your Squadron "Randomiser" link, "Website blocked due to trojan"
Hi
mtaran02 Tar, I don't have that come up when I click on it.
@@RoughSwordsmanWargamer I use Malwarebytes, its still warning me. Could be a false positive. Thank you for the video, it is very helpful!
Did you laminate the campaign sheets or use plastic pouches?
Hi Alphanerd Games, I used plastic pouches.
@@RoughSwordsmanWargamer I thought so. Thanks, great idea.
Great video. Is that the neoprene mat? It seems to look nicer than the standard board.
Hi, thanks for the comment and yes it's the neoprene mat, it's slightly bigger than the board with the game - and no glare!
