- Hey Everyone, So the first thing the Captain did when we arrived at Cadiz this morning was announce that this was the best port we were visiting whilst on the cruise (in his opinion).
He was telling us what a beautiful city it was which got us very excited for the day ahead lol.
This was our first time visiting Cadiz and the plan is just to get off the ship and explore at our own leisure.
In this video we are going to show you around and give you a rough idea of some of the things you could do if like us you only have the 1 day to explore.
We came here on the P&O Arvia but no matter what cruise line\ship you sail here on this is a great place to spend a day
Hope you enjoy 😁

So in this video we visit Cadiz, we have a walk around and show you what's near the port. This beautiful city has so much history and wonderful architecture. Did you do anything different to us if you have visited?
Great overview. We're off in 2 weeks so this has been super helpful. Liked the idea of a McDonald's and the shopping centre. I'm sure I'll need a cooling off stop in the day.
Looks like a awesome place!! Nice cruise!! 18 days is a long walk!!
Hi, thanks so much for a great video. Will definately check out the beach when we go in the summer....👍🏼👍🏼
Beautiful monument right there by the terminal. Also a great idea to pin your starting location! Sadly, we don't know how to do that. We're as old as the city you're visiting! 🤣🤣Some beautiful old architecture. The Cathedral was stunning, both inside and out! Lovely works of art inside. An amazing "least churchy church" too. Nice beach stroll, but I don't know if the gutting of fish will be good for YT views, but would taste good! Loved the stroll and it's always great to end with ice cream!
Thanks so much Dave and Kathy, hope you're both ok 😁

Greetings from Naples, Florida. An awesome port, indeed! Nice beaches there. We enjoyed the tour. Thanks for sharing with us, have a great week. 💯
Thanks so much guys
When we were there we saw, loads of those parrots, they were flying in one of the small parks, so nice to see them as we don't have them at home...
No we didn't find the industrial street, or the Big shop, we seemed to stay in the old bit..did find a beautiful ice cream shop though, ice cream is so much cheaper away from the UK...😁
Hope you had a lovely time there
Great Video, as always ! Booked on Britannia to visit next summer !
Thanks for the tour of Cadiz, think I'll try and avoid the 'industrial street' when I go - mind that's not until 15th July 2024 so just another 315 days to go
Stopped of in Cadiz in March when on Iona. Lovely ancient city with lots of charisma and many little squares with bars and restaurants. The main shopping streets are only a ten minute walk from the ship. Very old worldly looking forward to returning there next April when we are on Arvia. We have been told to go to the main market which is very interesting and also has lot of bars and restaurants.

Thanks so much for watching guys, glad you also loved Cadiz
Was on that cruise! Not sure what beach I went to, but for me and my kids, it was 1.50 euros per person to get to a stop very close to the beach. After the beach, we went to a historical part of the city, such a nice walk.
Sounds lovely 😍 hope you had a great time
Hi Stacey and Kev. That's a lot of steps getting around. I laughed when Kev said there's a little website called google 😂. Love the history in all the older buildings. The Cathedral was beautiful. You definitely deserve the ice cream treat before getting back on the ship. As always thank you for taking us along ❤❤ Yes, I had an snack before watching just in case. 😊
Thanks so much MaryAnn, hope you're ok. And yes haha we definitely appreciated that ice cream before getting back on the ship 😁
@@OneCouplesAdventure Yes, I'm much better. Thank you 👍
Been a few times now and still not seen everything in Cadiz. Had a drink in a lovely bar by by the Cathedral on the cruise before you . Seville is very nice for an excursion from Cadiz , it has beautiful architecture. Another great vlog both , thanks.
Thanks Barry, hope you're well
Thanks for showing us round Cadiz. I stop there on my Christmas Canaries cruise on Iona, but have an excursion to Seville booked and wont have time to look around. Definitely next time!
Oh well you can always go another time, Seville also looks beautiful 😍
Looks lovely. Thanks again for posting. We are going next October. Do you reckon it will still be pretty warm ? Cheers
Maybe keep an eye on the weather for this October and look at previous years. Might give you a rough idea 👍

Good thinking. Cheers
Really laughed when Kev said he saw that man’s rod flashing on the beach haha! Also when is Stacey going to drop her hair care routine - it’s so glossy in the Spanish sun!
Hahaha 🤣 and to help with hair frizz I use defrizz serum from the brand Inkey. I get it from Home Bargains as its only £3.99 and lasts ages. Seems to be the best one I've ever used 👍
Just got off yesterday enjoyed it but won’t be going on again prefer the Iona but also fancy a change from P&O. Also avoided covid all this time only to get it on the last few days of the cruise .
Enjoying these vids, having just come from a royal Caribbean cruise (2weeks round Spain) it’s helping us decide if we try P&O next or stick with what we know 😊
We really wanna try Royal Caribbean at some point
We have been on Iona and Anthem this year. Much prefer Iona and won’t be rushing back to Royal in a hurry.
Cadiz looks nice especially the old parts we are going next week dreading MSc full ship bit gpg to make the most of it.
At 3:09 whale in the middle of the water! Or am I seeing things?
Oooo maybe 🤔
It was raining cats and dogs when we went at the beginning of the year , but when we visited there a few years ago it was lovely weather.I do like Cadiz . How far is the shopping centre from ship please ? We are going back therein several. Weeks time .Happy cruising.
Hi we walked the long way around, so it took us a while but just looked on Google maps and if you went straight from the ship it's a 30 minute walk 😁
@@OneCouplesAdventure Many thanks
We've just got off Arvia this morning. We wouldn't go back on it. We much prefer Britannia with the two pools on top deck. The sky dome feels very much like a leisure centre pool even with the roof open and the infinity pools were so overcrowded and cold my boys wouldn't go in. The food was very good however and the service as good as usual. Generally overcrowded with a lack of top deck open air atmosphere for us but just our opinion - not a moan. :)
Hi and no its not moaning we love hearing other people's thoughts 😁. We talk about it more In the review but yes a very crowded ship and we never sat in the skydome as like you said like a leisure centre pool. Glad you liked the food though, we certainly Did lol 😆
Hi Stacy and Kev, great vlog as always xxx would you do a Q&A about travel, your jobs, how you chose your cruises. Woujd you consider it??
Thanks so much and our main thing with the channel is to make travel content but yes we can eventually do a q&a if it's something people would want 👍

I've got the cruise bug now - can't stop thinking of my next one.... Did MSC virtuosa in March. Considering P&O Iona.... Would you go back to P and O ?
