To those who might not know, this song is played everyday at 5pm in the countryside and in residential areas to remind children to go back home. So it has a special meaning for all of us, and for Kanba: time to go home

Was i the only one who thought "why is the shinsekai yori curfew song in here" then finding out it was a dvorak composition?
Also this is the scene for me where i really started to fall in love with this show

Mawaru Penguindrum came out a year before SSY.
one of the main influences on Mawaru Penguindrum is Night on the Galactic Railroad, which has a famous scene also using the Largo movement.

The second movement of Dvorak's "New World" Symphony (No. 9) has a tune which later became known as the gospel hymn, "Going Home." The symbolism is more like SYMBOLISM SYMBOLISM, YO, KANBA, COME HOME, HEY DOES ANYONE NOTICE THAT THIS TUNE HAS A MEANING?!

It's also played at 5:00 in a lot of Japanese cities to remind children to get home before dark. Or at least that's what kids are taught, but it's really done to test the emergency broadcast systems.

They also use the second movement to Beethoven's Op. 27 when Himari enters the secret underground library.

Los japoneses asociacion esa cancion el "hora de volver o regresar a casa" por eso esa carga emocional, mientras la verdadera hermana le pide a Kanba que recuerde lo que olvidó.

Alfa Q This came out first. MP is heavily referential to Night on the Galactic Railroad, which has a scene with this symphony.
