I flew a Swift for many hours. Had a Cont. 145 hp and was quite snappy . . .BUT the gear, when down and locked (gear indicators up, panel lights lit up) did not mean the gear was Locked! I had two left gear collapses, which cost $$$ each time, the mechanic installed new switches, etc. I will NEVER get in one of those things again!
My Grandfather has one of these and lives on an airstrip like this.
I remember the fly ins as a kid. Some of the best times of my life.
