Thank you so much for watching our videos and supporting us!
Trotty and Jazza crossover is something I never considered, but now I want it.
I love the fact that Hat Films is evolving into it's final form, combining all it's other forms, Minecraft, weird indie games, GTA, Garry's Mod, and Board Games to create 1 Milly Hat Films
No Trials though..
@@JustinRSoles true
Hat Films is going to have to enslave a class of breeding women to get to 1 million.
@@internetonsetadd they have Craig.
6:05 I think the point of this part is to have the balls at different distances and jump from one to the other, so a solo player can do it. Sorry if this is obvious, but it's not over engineered for a solo player.
Hehehe, the fact that Trott knows of Jazza and Smith has been watching the Corridor Crew CGI vids makes me happy :D
I believe "dangling from my flower" is some sort of analogy for a sex move
sounds painful.
not a prolapse thing
Earth in Swedish is "Jorden" which means ground/soil. And keep doing Human Fall Flat, love it ! ^^
Are you Greta Thunderburg
It's the same in French, "terre" means earth both in terms of soil and planet earth.
@@tychobrahe6379 here in the Netherlands we call it Aarde or if people want to be presumptions they may call it Gaia ''aarde'' is also soil overhere.w
We once had an entire lecture on the viagra patent at uni, it was quite interesting. I later worked on rebranded viagra (generic name sildenafil, rebranded as revatio) being trialled for a different indication in kids, because you can get patent extensions if you can prove a use in kids. The more you know!
You could just call them "raptors" rather than birds of prey if you want to convey their meaning in one word.
Saw you boik’s big smiling faces on the side of a bus down by waterfront today. Using the general populace of brizzle to get to 1 mil, genius
According to the author, Margaret Atwood, everything that happens in The Handmaid's Tale has in one way or another already in real life. Basically, because of the fertility crisis in the book, parts of America have become ultra conservative christian societies, which are very comparable to for example society under taliban rule. I haven't watched the show but I really enjoyed the book, I found many parallels to things that have happened in real life.
It was heavily based on the Iranian Islamic revolution which saw the sudden removal of women's rights in society.
@@jt1687 Ah, I see. I also found many similarities in the society in The Handmaid's Tale to that of A Thousand Splendid, which is set in Afghanistan when the taliban took over.
Lol. Ross's little yell... Love that from one of my favorite boiks.
Do you have a timecode for that?

@@shanemorton773 Oh, haha :D thanks
earth in finnish is "maa" (country or ground), or "maapallo" (country ball or ground-ball [or sphere]), on a literally translated basis.
In Japanese, 地球 (chikyū) which also means something very similar to ground-ball/sphere
I see a lot of these comments.... They are confusing. You say that Earth is x word in y language, but then you give a meaning for the word that isn't Earth...
@@GEM4sta
earth
noun
1.
the planet on which we live; the world.
synonyms: world, globe, planet, sphere, orb
2.
the substance of the land surface; soil.
Have you really never heard the word earth in any context other than referring to our planet?
@@jt1687 That's EXACTLY the issue. I'm looking only for the word Earth, I don't want the word for earth.
If someone asks you for a word given a definition, it makes no sense to return a word and provide a different definition.
@@GEM4sta In English, the word for our planet is synonymous with the ground/dirt. In many other languages, the word for our planet is also synonymous with the ground/dirt. When we say Earth we are referring to our planet however, the word itself also means dirt/ground/soil. It is the same for these other languages; when they refer to our planet, they are not literally calling it ground/soil/dirt, that is just the literal translation of the word they use, showing that it has the same root as our word for the planet. Earth is just capitalised in English because when referring to the planet itself it counts as a proper noun, this does not make it a separate word, it just has two meanings.
Handmaid's Tale conceptually is a response to books like 1984 which often lose womens' perspectives when looking at authoritarian societies and how things like rape, disfigurement and servitude are used more against women then men, in a way which isn't often reported.
Wasn't 1984 the one where the governments were sending people to die horrifically in phony wars to control the population and as an excuse to keep everyone working in factories?
Isn't it also heavily based on the Iranian Islamic revolution of the 1970s where women's rights were suddenly stripped away. There's some interesting photos of society before and after this revolution.
If you don't get The Handmaid's Tale, it's not for you.
My thoughts exactly, fam! For instance: my mum and sister sit down and watch it every time they’re together, and they seem to get it. I, however, don’t. I only sort of understand the premise of it, and I prefer (at least for now) watching things that are more upbeat or comedic.
Despite the fact that it is not a show that I enjoy, I do see that others like it, and I hate to see people shitting all over it. Reminds me of Star Trek Discovery like that - and that *is* a show I like!
The whole point of the Handmaids Tail is to make you uncomfortable. Smith not liking it because he doesn't understand it's intentions is a strange reason not to like something, it's pretty obvious.
I like that Smith looked up the German word for Earth (Erde) and then said, Oh so it is a different word. It's quite clearly the same etymology-did he expect other languages to literally use the same name in English phonology?
i never expected Jazza to be mentioned in a hatfilms video, but here we are and i love it
7:20 Definitely talking about Isorrow's mouse pad
Literally just before I watched this I watched Jazzas new vid of him drawing on a whiteboard. Always love hearing UA-camrs I watch mention others I watch
As the Earth discussion is just about to cross the finish line in style, the spectacularly wrong conclusion runs in from left field and tackles the unsuspecting Smith into the ditch.
Oh lordy, then comes Trott and questions Atwood's intentions with The Handmaid's Tale. Wow.
Big sci-fi fan. Can not understand the idea behind The Handmaid's Tale. This is gold!
@@positronalpha To be fair, it's speculated that the book is basically anti-US propaganda, so maybe not so bad to question intentions...
I think you deleted your reply, but I'll reply anyway. I have never read the book or watched the show, I just looked her up because I was curious about it, and it was right on Wikipedia.
It seems to make sense since in the book, the US is a corrupt place and Canada is a safe place or whatever. And she spoke up about a trade deal between US and Canada
Handmaid's Tale is actually pretty brilliant most of the time albeit quite depressing
Smith mentioning Corridor makes me happy. My two favorites on youtube.
"I question the intent of the author"... that's actually a good call, but in this case, maybe you could check out Margaret Atwood... I think the intent will become abundantly clear.
yeah, like handmaids tale would have a very different meaning if it were written by anyone other than preemminent feminist author margaret atwood.
I know nothing about the Author or the story but from what they were saying about it I definitely got a 'feminist' vibe. She sees 'misogyny' in the world and extrapolates that it will go to that extreme. As a woman (of mature years) and mother I see many changes and often they are for the better. Yes men have been the power for a long time though certain women were in the same league (their wives, Queens that held power). History tells us that most lives were considered expendable for a long time and only in the last 2 hundred or so years have citizens chose to claim there right to exist in such numbers that it can make change. Yes many men are still in power but there is a continuing trend of women joining men in that power status in both good and bad ways.
@@Rel1369 What's this? A balanced and objective view of gender politics? IN A UA-cam COMMENT?!
@@Rel1369 I don't think Atwood believes the world will necessarily go to that extreme. Rather, she's writing an extreme to highlight the current, less over the top misogyny in our current world.
Smith's taste in television never ceases to amaze me lol

The Dutch word for Earth is Aarde, which is the same literally translated.
birds of pray are called raptors
No, they're called Cardinals

Hey Smith, Terra is Latin for earth. The more you know...
gareth gates actually performed in my town in an event called clubland on the beach on the weekend
Ahhhh I love draw with jazza!!
I got about a minute and 30 seconds into "Another Life" and instantly closed out of it... yes, it was that bad.
Earth in dutch means aarde which translates exactly too soil as well.
every time smith said 'hey siri' my fucking phone spazzed out
So happy this is back
Hat films watch Corridor and Jazza, so cool
Not sure anyone cares but a fun Floridian mosquito-related fact is that we engineered bugs to solely eat mosquitoes, hoping it’d lower the population of them. But when they were released, they actually just have an insatiable sex drive (they’re called love bugs) & they’re almost constantly having sex, even while flying! They like heat so you’re pretty much always swarmed by them in Florida. But they’re only around during the beginning & end of summer. That’s all for this episode of weird Florida facts, tune in tomorrow for whatever fact I can somehow relate to the topics these boiks randomly pick
The Danish word is Jorden. Which is the same word used for soil.
The Earth in Scottish Gaelic is 'An Talamh'. Talamh means earth/soil
In Portuguese the Planet Earth is "Planeta Terra", which is also the word for "ground" or "soil".
Makes sense for a Latin based language
This is the new trials. The boiks tune out and play and chat.
Jazza is an Aussie Too!!! I’ve watched him for Ages!!!
The Handmaid's tale is interesting because of the themes it explores. One of these is using women's bodies as political instruments; the control of reproduction. Once the birth rates declined it created a society in which women are treated as subhuman. They are reduced to their fertility, treated as nothing more than a set of ovaries and a womb. It's relevant today because of fears of Trump’s authoritarian tendencies and his vice president’s anti-gay and anti-abortion beliefs. Handmaid costumes even became common at protests of laws intended to limit women’s reproductive freedom. WIthin the series, the main character Offred can be seen to take back her own power in the oppressive regime, much like women in the #metoo movement.
it is just a rape fantasy
Terre in French both means the planet and soil, just like in English. Erde = soil and the planet in German, Italian you have Terra which, again means both, Tierra in Spanish, and this trend continues in the Scandinavian languages. Not sure about African, American, or Asian languages but it definitely seems to be a trend for European languages at the least.
So Smith you were correct
OH it just clicked that this map breaks when players transport eachother with the cranes
Imagine a decent chunk of the audience studied the handmaids tale if they did English at A level.
Another life was really bad at the start, but it gets better, then it gets kinda good (my opinion)
I love Human Fall Flat
In Japanese and Chinese, "Earth" is written as "Ground-ball".
Neil buchanan for Jinglejam!
C'mon Smith, just wear brown pants. It's not that hard.
Its not called Earth in english either, its nicknamed Earth, but its called Terra. In swedish its called Tellus or Terra. But just as English we call it Dirt, or rather Jorden (Jord=Dirt/Earth, so its kinda that earth or that dirt)
Just noticed Smiths skid marks haha
You could say birds of prey or you could say raptors
I can tell you in Dutch they call it earth and world which is "aard" and "wereld"
was saving another life for the weekend, i guess i wont bother now
i really liked it tbf, think Smith is being harsh considering he based his opinon on 10 minutes he saw. Some dumb buits, but thats scifi
@@MUFCtom95 ok, ill give it a fair shot i guess, but its got alot to live up to with the expanse and ofc bsg
Mosquitoes can be removed without any major consequences.
Oh great. Now I have to go look up that old Melon Bomber episode.
Americans: Earth
British: Uthhh
Fortnite had a 30 mil prize pool as well, but it was split and scattered
Comment for audience engagement. For real though, I love these Human: Fall Flat videos!
The Zika virus was what Ross was talking about.
Other words for earth. Jord or jørð
Viagra Connect is 34.99 for 8 tablets, 19.99 for 4.
Other words for earth. Jord or Jørð
Yay more yumping!
Did smith sing a song from the streets there?
Watching them try to stack cubes just shows what i hate about this game; the fact you have to wrestle against the control to get anything done.
7:35 - If it exists, its likely Furry based. If it does not exist, i'm sure Bad Dragon would love to do it.
Earth in french is "Terre".
Whatever happened to the version of the art attack intro where it was just people having heart attacks?
Birds of prey = Burderers
At least in Spanish and French it's tierra and terre, both meaning earth as we mean it.....fuck me so depressing this is one of the only practical uses I've had out of my degree so far.
earth in german is "erde" and its the same for ground/soil. so it's pretty much the same like in english :P
also i liked another life series, it certainly gets better. but smith i think you are a bit too picky about the cgi effects, you should give it another shot, they have good stuff in it.
Lost my shit at ross clownassing around with the cubes.... may as well have been poking trott in the eye with a stick. Can't see for the tears
Handmaids tale is a bit scary due to recent events in American politics & I feel like it really won’t resonate with all audiences but I’m not sure the author meant for it to or not. It’s very depressing, that’s for sure.
Ross you should watch ‘Mother’ amazing film.
Surely the name for the Earth in other languages is just the same as its a name and names dont change cross languages.
great vid boiks
Another Life is alright but I only think that because I've seen more than 10 minutes of it.
The Boys is brilliant though.
I’m sorry but Ross and Trott’s perspectives just hurt my eyes because the glow is so bright but Smith seemed to have got rid of it and it looks so much better
19:29 The 2004 BSG was kinda' crap. I mean it wasn't really sci fi, it was 9/11 paranoia and a lot of disjointed relationship drama wrapped up in sci fi packaging so it could leech publicity from the late 70s series of the same name.
Did you ever watch, 'it's a mystery' with Neil?
anyway to get these maps on the switch?
Nope
@@ElectricalSwift boo
Earth in Tamil is Bhoomi, fun fact
I... I... I LIKED Another Life... Am i wrong??? my whole life has been turned upside down
Lewis Cox just because something isn't well made or well received, doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. Having said that, it's obviously not hitting the broad audience based on the poor reviews.
Hat film, draw with jazza colab when?
hat bois/corridor digital colab?
Handmaid's tale was written by a older Canadian woman. Its not a man's rape fantasy... if that helps
What's more surprising than the $30 million prize pool for Fortnite.......... is that Fortnite is still as popular as it is.
lol they really think earth is called different in other languages? omg
Hmm, I'm pretty sure I've seen some Japanese comics with the exact same premise as The Handmaid's Tale.
16:05 sounds like every hentai ever.
Eat food don’t die

I've come back 3 years later, to once again insult Smith for his awful taste. I mean, Star Trek: Discovery? REALLY??
People other than Hat Film play this game? what?
What’s wrong with doctor who?
But.....I started watching Another Life and I liked it. Is something wrong with me?
No Smith just has extreme opinions
I'm really enjoying it, obviously others don't as it has 4.5 on IMDB
I'd rather not watch stuff that will depress me more than real life, so I stay the fuck away from trash like Handmaid's Tale.
