Oklahoma State PG Marcus Smart is one of the best in the College game right now, and easily could've been a Lottery Pick this year. Smart straight rips defenders, as he set the Big 12 Freshmen Record for Steals this past season. Here's him back home in Texas from College dominating an Open Gym & Training Session.

I love the grit pickup games when your taking someone one on one and you guys both trash talk but respect eachother

I loved that last play, where they we're almost beating each other and ended in a hug. That's the attitude, pure healthy competitiveness and toughness.
I like this player, good option for my Celtics if they don't get a top 3 pick, considering Rondo and Bradley might be leaving the team.

Myles Oliver You guys realize that that's not called basketball right? There's called a foul. You can get mad because that dude that was guarding him knew he was about to get shit on, that's what players do when someones better. Foul.

Love the respect at the end!
Ballers should know not to take things too personal.
They could be friends outside. But, on the court, they are enemies.

Love that at the end, not many players can battle on the court and leave it there now-a-days. Its not personal its competitive nature for the game.

Plus.. with this criticism about his shot.. He will shine that up, and many who say his ball handling skills aren't good enough, do not know what they're seeing. He makes the team entirely better, he is demanding. He has the fundamentals. He brought that school the passion and excitement back basketball. He single handed dominated Kansas. I could go on and on.

I see a lot of comments comparing Marcus with others. You guys just need to know the dude is flat out a winner. Doesn't matter if you are playing in the park, the gym, Olympics, OSU, or whomever is lucky to get him in the pros. He will play and impose his will on who he plays. Not flashy, but as tough as they get and brings his lunchbox every day. So, quit comparing and enjoy an original boys. Peace.

Basketball is not all about speed, he has enough speed, plus he correctly uses his size.. You know what he has that many basketball players don't? A dominate first step. With his IQ and overall skill set of the game, he will be just fine. I scrimmaged against him.. He instinctively knows the game. He was a pro before college. Plus he has that star aura about him. He is a winner. The NBA will be a fit for him.
