That fire shield and lightning combo is awesome, it reminds me of the mystic knight orb in dragons dogma
FF16 combat guru Ryota Suzuki did work on DD, so that would track...
@@PlayStationAccess I thought so! There's a move called "blink strike" which has the same animation as the forward sword lunge shown in ff16 and it's also used in devil may cry, as well as other combat animations
I worry it’s gonna get patched out 😂
Did you hear about Dragons Dogma is getting a Sequel?
@@lockskelington314 I did and it's the best news I've heard in years🤣 I put over 2000 hours into dragon's dogma it's one of my favorite games of all time. Can't wait for the sequel!
Iam in love with this game! Such a gem. Graphics, art, music, combat, characters cant describe how i love it.
PlayStation Access needs to make a video of all of Robs "hellos"
This needs to be pinned and noticed by PS Access 😂
@@AzNFoLk I was way overdue for a good idea. Next one will take other couple years
These tips are genuinely good tips.
Thanks! We try our best.
Good video! Love Rob's tactical take on the game's combat, really shows how deep it can be, I'm more hyped then ever
Final Fantasy 16 tips worth watching. That fire and lightning thing looks immense.
Amazing video!!! I did not realize how in depth the combat actually is!
Hey Rob i didn't wanna watch this video till after i had started but i wanted to at least leave a like and comment cuz i like what you do. Never change.
I use Garuda's Deadly embrace the moment they semi-stagger to stun them and hit them with Gouge to get the rest of the stagger down to full stagger, I'm going to incorporate the whisps and thunderstrike into my full staggered strategy, it looks so efficient!!
Definitely going for this platinum!
"Out for delivery" im so excited. Hopefully its delivered before i get home from work, so i cqn start my weekend off right will a play till morning FF16 session!
Fast and Furious: Chocobo Drift haha love it Rob!
Thanks for the tips Rob, very helpful indeed!!
Good tips. I always hoard everything in these types of games for fear of needing something later.
Time for Fast and the Furious, chocobo drift! Love it 😂
Some great tips in here. Thank you
Thanks for the tips rob 😊
This was great & helpful! Thx
A little late but a simple trick to get more money (and more exp and AP), and this is assuming you are not using them already, is to equip the accessories Rob mentions in the first point just before finishing a side quest i.e. talking to the NPC that triggers the completion. That way you can do the side quest using whatever accessories you like but still get the quest benefits with a little bonus. I'm mainly using this to earn a little more money since exp and AP can be farmed easily.
8:30 Dragons Dogma Mystic Knight's Great Cannon + Ruinous Sigil combo all over again. Its so good
Is this one of people's all time fav FF games? I have no idea, but I love this game so much.
Same. I really liked 15, but I absolutely hated how long it took to kill most enemies. 16 feels just right
Thanks for explaining the multiplier!
Another tip: don't get discouraged to do sidequests because they're only promising gil and renown. You can find swords and other gear in some and you learn about about the world and it's people. Plus the renown earns you ability points at the hideaway if you have enough.
Damn thank you, solid tips, just started playing too
Awesome tutorial. Thank u for this
Brilliant video thank you!! 💗
This game is absolutely phenomenal, and the fact loads of Final Fantasy fans are arguing over it is amusing. I guess I’m not as much of a boomer as I thought 🤣 also I’m a souls vet so the combat feels second nature, deffo feel the DMC vibes shine through. And the story so far 👌🏻👌🏻
So helpful
amazing tips
Being able to use abilities on another eikon had me thinking it was a glitch lol. So cool since i hate blind judgement but love pile driver and lightning storm.
Ah finally a tips video with actual tips that’s are useful and not telling us to change controller settings half way trough the game or swords ur not even close to getting yet
I'm sincerely hoping to get this game eventually, I have a bit too much on my plate as they say. 30HRS of playtime at the quickest. So YEAH.. lots of time can be spent on this one. YES!!!
So that's how you get Torgal to do more damage. Thanks for the tips!
FYI Absolutely do worry about selling purple weapons. Keep them with u or else u might have to craft them all again to get the upgraded weapon. Also selling some items can actually lock u out of getting a trophy in that save file if u sell them because u cannot craft a weapon if u do.
We never sell purple weapons because we always have them equipped and one replaces the next. Selling the basic whites is safe.
@@PlayStationAccess Yes exactly. I think it wasnt exactly clear at 2:19 so I just said it in case someone misunderstood. But I agree the basic whites can be sold without problems
I am loving the game so much
@PlayStationAccess I bought the game because I watch the video rob posted earlier this week. But I've been working so much that haven't even got to play it can't wait for the next day off so I could just play the game video was great by the way thanks for the tips
Do you know if you get rid of a lower level weapon does it get rid of the appearance to? Cus some lower level weapons are pretty sweet looken and you can use the appearance for a new sword.
You mentioned selling sharp fang and magicked ash, and making sure to save wyrite, but what about bloody hide, steelsilk, and some ofnthe other stuff?
Thats a combo 👌
Love this video and I don’t even have a ps5 😂
Another little hint that took me far too long to realise, press L1 for enemy lock on. Makes those 1 on 1 fights much easier
Definitely on 1 on 1 fights. But do you know how to switch the lock on between multiple targets? There has to be a way to do that but I haven't found it yet.
@@x3SayuriChan I think pressing R3 will do that, not sure if the game says this and I just missed it?
Dragon's Dogma 2 is next.. but when can we see it? hmmm some say later in the year... hmmmmmm.. YES!
Love your videos and your commentary. Late last week, I started FF16. I've followed and completed the first eleven main quest. Yesterday, I completed the Awakening quest. From what I've read completing the Awakening quest should have add the Will O' The Wykes to my abilities. It did not. When I view the completed quest Awakening shows completed. Do I need to complete additional quest to unlock this ability? Thanks in advance to all that reply.
It unlocks after the quest The Meaning of Life. You then need to buy/unlock the ability from the middle of the central ability wheel.
@@PlayStationAccess Thank you! Currently, I'm playing Buried Memories so The Meaning of Life follows
I want to watch this, but am so excited to play this game that I don't want to watch anything more on it. Like to go in fresh
We 100% need a Fast and the Furious: Chocobo Drift movie!
The words at 4:03 made me giggle.
Any idea why my tv screen has red and green flashes only when I’m playing this game ?
I'm about to start FF16 and my last one was FF7 🤔
Same here. But ff7 remake 😂
I find parry hard to do. Sticking with slow mo dodge for now.
Parry is pretty hard to learn because each enemy is a bit different, but it is super fun when you get it down and very effective. I definitely suggest mastering the ability first, it will extent the window, only a little bit, but it help. I avoided mastering abilities at first because i didnt realize it actually matters, at least with the base circle. The rest only let you equip to different eikons.
There’s also patron whisper
How do you actually use ifrits abilities after you acquire it? I assumed you could press L2 and switch to him like other summons but he's not an option
You buy them on the abilities screen and then need to manually equip them - they can go in the Phoenix slots on the gear screen.
@@PlayStationAccess oh that makes sense now! Thank you very much 😁
It’s been so long since a final fantasy game where either playing it and seeing more of the story or go have coitus is now a difficult decision
I need to see a double shift
I didn't have a great grasp of the combat system in xv, is this combat style easier to get on top of?
Yeah, much easier. It has clear in-game tutorials and introduces new ideas at quite a slow pace, so it's easy to get your head around the basics.
now I can really sic em torgal

Charon looks like such a Karen. I see what you did there SE...
I'm loving the game, but I am finding it too easy even without the trinkets and in combat mode. I think they should've maitained elemental weaknesses and allow changing skills mid combat. That would increase the strategy side of the combat.
Just wish you had something to spend gil on lol
Time to splash out on expensive Hideaway backing music...

:)
Honestly, it’s good, but disappointing. I’ll play it, but it’s no FF caliber game.
Tips...
Saving money to buy ps5 bundle
Why do we need tips? The game is frustratingly easy.
…unfortunately the main tip is walk forwards, fight and watch the cutscene 🤔 never thought I would really have to be wondering if Final Fantasy was an rpg or not
You definitely haven't played the game...
Maybe u just want an action game 😂
Well, Metal Gear Solid is about the same
Because "moving forward, fight, and watch cutscenes" aren't what you do in past Final Fantasies? 😅
@@cdmanjak I am 12 hours in, there are no choices to make, no party to control, no character to build/classes to be concerned with…I don’t think you even have to concern yourself with stats or levelling up - at least where I’m up to it’s all been done for me 😳 the side quests are also the worst I have seen in a game for years. If this is an RPG then pretty much any game that uses a menu system also qualifies.
@@animegamergeek1427 true there are many similarities, but Metal Gear Solid isn’t supposed to be a RPG? Plus at least you have the option of stealth to consider, in FFXVI it is run forwards, then fight - that’s it.
It's so stupid that there is a Magic burst indicator in the training place, but no parry and/or dodge indicator. There are so many little things wrong with this game. And that's coming from somebody with 13,000 hours in FF14 and somebody who loves Yoshi P, I am kinda disappointed from the game.
its such a shame square won't release FF on xbox anymore bc sony is crying about them trying to acquire activision
It’s ok I bought it on my beautiful sexy as hell gorgeous delicious ps5
The game is absolutely superb. Will never be in the same league as ffx in my opinion, but it's the best modern entry by a long shot. It takes a minute to find it's footing and the pacing is a bit all over the place, but once it does it's great. Also, for some reason I've been thinking the voice actor for Cid is snooker player, John Virgo. 😂😂 I know it's not but I can't get rid of the image 😂😂
