The reason the place is empty and the pinball machines are gone is because they are in the middle of moving to a new location on S Broadway. They’ve been priced out of the building they are in. Records never have been their big focus but I believe they are going to focus on the coffee, comic books and such but still having live shows. This week’s d is their last week open there.

Thank you for that info. It is sad how rents keep going up so businesses have to move just to stay alive. I look forward to see what their new location will look like. I definitely want more time to check out the books. I hope they keep a similar type decor

Hoo boy, what a dive. The moth was the crowning touch. It was startling when an interesting or actually good record would turn up among the dross, like Traffic and Strawbs. Interesting book find; I don't know anything about Sinclair except The Jungle.

Mutiny has had an interesting last few years, they almost went out of business during the pandemic but a gofundme saved them. The storefront you went to is actually closing next week, they're moving to Englewood. Could be that part of their inventory is already moved.

Hi Steve, at 1:58 - 2:02, you had a good look at the Bhundu Boys album, do you already have it? The Bhundu Boys were from Zimbabwe and produced some fine Shona music. That album was their first for a major label and in my opinion was over produced, with a horn section. I saw them many times in the 80's and they were great live. I'm not sure how much they were selling it for, but if under $10, it would be a good pick up, if you haven't already got it.

The music books in UK charity shops are fairly fantastic at the moment and normally about 2 pounds, ive got a fairly impressive library of about 500 music book but I'm planning on donating over half them very soon, seems an essier decision than records and realistically theres not much resale value in them, ive got a decent collection of SST related books, but not that keith Morris, hould be a good read.
