Came here since I couldn't pass the second form for ballos - this guide helped me alot, though i still somehow only have 5 health once i was through B2 sanctuary. I still wish that a savepoint was added before the final fight, since going through 3 areas with a boss battle on top of it is not ok.
This. No way in hell am I going to finish fighting Misery, the Doctor, the Doctor’s SECOND form, AND THE CORE?? With no health or rest points??? Fuck no.
@@neptunianheart Like another comment said if you talk to Choko twice she will talk about Arthur and all the mimigas will have hearts appear above their heads, this is in every version. What sucks is most of the hearts despawn before you can grab them all. Honestly though the Doctor fights aren't that bad since you can kill the normal enemies in the Misery and The Core fight "Granted you leave misery alone in the core fight" and receive health and ammo from them. Though if you don't have the spur I would just use the life pot and skip Ballos, the only other decent weapons against fighting him would be the Nemesis or the level 3 sword but both are glass cannons.
I come to the youtube ending of shame after failing to beat the boss Cause it may be sad to admit defeat But a trip through hell for each retry is gross
YES that the most annoying part. The boss is hard, I agree about that but to retry the whole hell of a journey just to fight the boss back is too much for me

This game is one of my biggest proud in speedrunning Having to play it on an almost dying laptop makes everything easier since you can dodge everything every frame by second 🤣🤣
I actually didn't accept defeat and quit, I actually went into a level editor and just added save points where I thought was fair, Just to make it a little easier, but preserving the challenge.
i might not do a speed run, seriously i dont like the frist 2 areas of the sanctuary.but i might do it for wind fortress once i get the area down because its a lot less random
@That Guy everything can be done with try harding. And talking from experience going through this with no chekpoints what so ever is fucking disgusting

YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO HACK THE GAME TO ACCESS TO IT, sure the game files are there but its not normally accessible during normal game play thus not in any other version but the ORIGINAL Freeware version the Mimiga Mask and the Mr Little In Your INVENTORY only counts as part as the normal/true ending of the game, it only adds one line to the true ending and with the mask case they are shocked that a Mimiga is actually fighting Misery so please if its not accessible through normal Means then please DO NOT SAY ANYTHING about its not the true/best ending spend 10 min of your time and research it before saying anything like that it makes you look dumb in the future, and yes i already deleted the comment.
PC(Steam and Freeware), Wii, 3DS(Has both the 3D version and the CS+ version), DSi(CS+), PSP(It's a Homebrew of the Freeware version), Nintendo Switch (CS+ but with a much higher resolution and better shaders), Nintendo DS(again, Homebrew of the Freeware version), and, finally, the Xbox 360 version, which, in tell, is _also_ a Homebrew version of the Freeware version. There is also an Android version using RetroArch, but that's complicated to set up, so I only mentioned the ones that are simple to use. If you plan on playing the Android one, just use the psp version using PPSSPP on Google play, or the Wii version using Dolphin Emulator (Requires SD820 device or above). There are many, _many_ other versions but they're tedious and unnecessary to setup when most peeps have this stuff.
If you were the protagonist, would you forgive Balrog for what he did to Toroko? Personally, I would have prefered this ending with Barlog saving Quote and Curly from being crushed, but going separate ways shortly after. Not the three of them living together.
