the issue with the card shows is the no receipts so if you sell the cards you buy online, there is a problem when doing the taxes, and also there is lots of stealing now at these shows, and its starting to ruin the hobby. Thank you for the awesome content, great job!
I appreciate you, a video receipt could potentially go well in place of receipts but I would make sure to ask your accountant. And technically speaking everyone’s taxes when looking back should line up with the other also, so technically there shouldn’t be an issue with that aspect of things in the grand scheme of things, but again I would ask your accountant for anything regarding taxes. But yea I understand what you’re meaning :) the biggest downfalls, but also the only actual way to consistently get nice deals.
I do go to card shows when I get the chance. If I go up to a table with a value bin and it's not separated by sport I won't even look cause I don't usually have a lot of time to sift through a multi-sport bin. If you don't, I would at least make sure they have a chair to sit in while they search.
Yea I might try out the separating them I didn’t really have the time to do it this time and I feel like they’d just end up getting mixed together with people looking through them as time goes on
I usually see signage that will request that people keep the cards in their perspective sport bin. I do not have personal experience as a seller though, so I don't know if people actually read the signs or not. Also, selling TCG cards will be difficult at a sports card show, you usually need to sell that type of thing at a collect-a-con event where you will have a lot more customers looking for TCG but sports card sales won't be as good.
@RainStryke yea this one was definitely advertised as an all inclusive card show with tcg being a focus as well, I had like 2 Pokémon cards but didn’t sell either, but also probably weren’t the most popular and common ones everyone was looking for. It was the nurse Jenny and James from team rocket cool stickers graded
Chairs hurt the dealer because the people usually sitting in them, have no issue wafting through a dime box for 3 hours spending just $15. This takes up space and blocks other people from shopping at the table who might have spent more.
@@prospectsrus282 interesting take. Hard to put a value on what could have been… cause things could also go the other direction too… like the potential customers might search through faster while standing and drop/damage the cards.
Did I end up meeting you at this show :) glad you enjoyed the $1 bins :) I’m pretty sure I can think of the 3 or so people who worked out deals with me from there so I definitely would remember you next time :)

Wish you lived close by I have loads of 3-5$ cards I usually sell bulk at 50-60% and boxes of 10-15$ I move at 60-70%
Sheeeeesh yea definitely please let me know if you’re ever wanting or willing to sell some online 😅😅 would help out a ton

How did you build your whatnot following/customer base?
@@AdultArtsAndCraftssportscards a lot of different things definitely have helped.
I thought when we signed Jimmy we would trade Devante with 2 years on his contract idk why we just kept him last year to start the year
Mcdaniels did a lot of stupid stuff when in charge that’s for sure. But one of the better things was keeping Adams
