And she once played a character named "Mickie" in an episode of "Laverne & Shirley", years before she became famous for the "Mickey" song. All of that completely pales compared to her career as a dancer and choreographer. Two "Baywatch" alumni in this movie. Toni Basil and Hope Marie Carlton. Because everything in American pop culture is somehow connected to The Hoff, one way or another. "Six degrees of Kevin Bacon" used to be a thing. That's baby stuff for rank amateurs! How about "four degrees of David Hasselhoff" instead? That's how the pros get down and boogie, son!
Rented this on video way back when. All I remember was Toni Basil being in it. Still that's all I remember even after watching this. The teacher died? lol It's available as a double feature with Hard Rock Zombies on BluRay!
I remember the TV Spots for this movie when I was a kid. I was oddly interested in this film. Unfortunately, I did not see it until I rented on DVD like 20+ years later. For some reason, I thought it was going to be a Rock / Heavy Metal vibe like Trick or Treat.....but....it was something else.

Well, I have known this much longer than I've known you
I think that's a record for "Cloud Establishing Shots!" in a movie.
This review reminded me of Rockula from 1990. That movie stared Dean Cameron, Toni Basil, and Thomas Dolby.
Alcatraz is nicknamed "The Rock", so this is not a horror musical.
"Welcome to the Rock, gentleman"
Just an awesome episode Mike! I wonder where Donna Denton went. Absolutely stunning and had some chops. I’m going out on a limb and guessing married to an incredibly rich entertainment lawyer with a monstrous home in Bel Air and a 5000 sqft “getaway” on Lake Tahoe.
The JR has gotten amazing... If you had Jerry Lawler next to you screaming about puppies I would have thought I was watching Raw!
Haha! Life goal....get The King here. :p
If I was reincarnated I'd choose a dolphin not because I like them but more so to ruin their reputation.
I do have a soft spot for this movie. I rented this a few times whenever it first showed up on new releases day.
15:16 Peekaboo 🤣🤣
🤬16:62 and I'm screaming at my phone "WHERES THE GORE?"
OMG Mike, you are too nice, to give it 2 Bags.
Love ya man
Well, to be fair, we had to cut some of the gore because Prudetube is Prudetube and have been demonetizing my old videos again. Tough to make a living here these days... :p
I grew up in The Bay Area, and I remember when they fillmed this.
Little known fact: Fargasso used to sneak around movie sets and attacking the film crew with fog machines!
Good freaking lord. The cover art makes me think of fright night. Your review makes me thankful that it’s you watching and not me. As per (mostly) usual, I enjoy your review infinitely more than the movie itself!! What is it Lance Henrikson has to say about the narrative again??
1:20 More like $h!t-house Rock 😂😂
Hell Yeah!
I never get tired of that clip!!
2:59 -- Horror film editor's name checks out.
HE DID! Barely....that is what she said! HELL YEAH!! OH WAIT......NO...I'll go with that one!
I saw this film online. Wasnt sure it was worth it. Now that you covered it im watching it.
Missed a few episodes. Very rare. Got some catchin up to do. Let the PIMP HANDS roll!
The artwork always reminded me of David Naughton during his werewolf transformation...for some reason...
Rented this on video way back when. All I remember was Toni Basil being in it. Still that's all I remember even after watching this. The teacher died? lol
It's available as a double feature with Hard Rock Zombies on BluRay!
Clouds, rain, and fog. I think this was The Weather Channel's only foray into the horror genre.
Toni Basil, the greatest one hit wonder in history!
8:20 Reminds me of that Scottish Widows insurance advert (Fun fact, it features Roger Moore's daughter): ua-cam.com/video/GzvEb7h-49Q/v-deo.html
Good video as always, love the show. Keep up the good work.
thanks Wayne!
Yeah my 3 month old grandson gets upset when you take him to a room that doesn't have a ceiling fan spinning round and round. Kids are cool!
