Thank you for reminding us to check out what is STILL in the freezer and needs to be used, its a good way to save money on the next trip to grocery store. So nice to see Maria giving her momma a hug..so sweet. Love and Prayers from Indiana. God bless.
You are motivating me to do this with my upper freezer! There's so much random stuff in there. Sometimes it's just easier to shut the door and forget it, especially since I have four young kids and lots of other things taking my attention! Thank you for all the encouragement and inspiration that you give to us younger moms... I think your channel is one of the best on UA-cam! I've been watching for years 🤗
Just last night my daughter and I emptied one freezer to allow it to thaw so that it can be cleaned. We moved some things to another freezer, but we also cooked a huge pot of home grown and frozen green beans with some frozen ham steak for seasoning. It was pretty nice to unplug that empty freezer! Your videos often bring me a little peace when things are chaotic. You're real. I like that! You work hard, love your family, and get a lot done. I like that, too! God bless!
Absolutely loved your opening statement about being a Mom and serving them. As we had a cookout on Mother's Day,as I did the cooking. My 3 daughters are why my life is has so much value. P.S as a Butcher here in Ohio, NOTHING wrong with a little ice on your products in the freezer.
You cook like my Mom did. Nothing is wasted. She felt Jesus gave us this food. You are a true blessing to all of us and your family. Sharon Pismo beach California PS my mom passed in 2014. Everyday I tell her I love and miss her.
Love these kinda freezer/ pantry cooking videos! I recently cleaned out my kitchen fridge & freezer & now we’re working on a meal plan for the deep freezer!
Well this was fun!!! Some of those green peppers and jalapeño peppers would bread great in cornbread or corn muffins. When you add corn, bacon and cheese they are like a mini meal.
On Mother's Day... never a bad idea to TEACH children to be grateful for all their mothers do. Gratitude is a powerful lesson. That Mother's so often do serve their children should NOT be taken for granted... EVER.
Jennifer - I really enjoyed this video. Sometimes I don’t always enjoy using up bits and bobs, but I *am* of that certain age 😀 and to me, it’s part of being a good steward. Thank you for sharing! ❤ xo
I cannot bare to throw out food. We have a saying, ‘look after the pennies and they’ll look after the pounds’! I freeze all sorts, half an onion, even the outer skins they add great flavour and colour to stock, fresh veg that’s about to be a bit over, again for soup or stock, those jelly type stock cubes, a little bit of red wine, it’s great for casseroles, even part of a can of pineapple, fresh herbs at the end of summer. Your freezer is your friend. I’ve made croutons today after a ‘failed’ sourdough loaf, they taste amazing. It’s a fantastic message/tip you’re sharing Jennifer.
The emptying of the freezer is a job well done! I have lived in Ky for 56 years and never heard of Ky potato soup, but it sure looks good! I love cooking soups with ham bones and ham hocks, the flavor is so good. The amish store we have locally sells the fat from the country hams they serve, and it is so good for flavoring as well. I can't wait to get in the garden to pick my green beans with a big ham hock this summer. All your food and desserts looks so good. Thank you for sharing. Love your cookbook!
I love to clean out my freezer that way. I often make a casserole with a bit of leftover spaghetti sauce, some roasted red pepper soup that didn't get finished, a couple of sausages or even hot dogs, some frozen diced peppers, whatever seems to go together. Add some pasta from the cupboard, put it in a casserole dish with whatever bits and pieces of leftover cheese are in the fridge...even those plastic-wrapped cheese slices, and cheez whiz! It never seems like just leftovers reheated. If I have leftover frozen hotdog or burger buns, I will thaw them and spread with homemade garlic butter and toast them up in the oven to go with. So good!
Loved it, using up what we have in our freezers is a good thing, sometimes when I start looking in my freezer I have so much I like you I start pulling out food to cook and it works very well and the food is good for use and very delicious. Thank you Jennifer, you made meals that word simple to make and very very delicious from my view.😊❤🙏🏻 Ms. Ruby
I went to the thrift store recently and bought a vintage crockpot because crockpots nowadays cook way to hot. It’s actually from the late 70’s to early 80’s. It works so well. It actually slow cooks 😊
Yes, I agree. I got a Westbend slow cooker as a wedding gift and loved that so much. I had it for about 20 years before the base was dropped and cracked. That was a sad day.
I still have my original Crock Pot from when I married in 1987. Have only had to replace the top. Found one on EBay in the Vintage section. She's still going strong, me... not so much lol
OHH that is so cute, whichever of your kids visit you first gets that special little loaf.. I also tell either of my kiddos.. you were my "first friend" today so you get to have this special treat.
This has inspired me to do a freezer clean out! Memorial weekend will be a great time to start. Thanks so much for this video and all of your awesome videos!!!
Loved this video! But it took me half a day to watch it because every time I sat down at the computer hubby thought of something he wanted to discuss, haha. This was definitely inspiring and it got me to use up the ends of a bag of shredded cheese, one leftover pork country rib and a good handful of chopped red bell peppers from the freezer. Along with a couple of potatoes chopped and air fried and scrambled eggs it came up to be a quick Denver scramble/hash for late breakfast. We have a side by side fridge and the freezer compartment is huge...I've never managed to make much of a dent in it yet. I keep trying though. Hope you are having a great week.
Thank you for the inspiration to clean and use what’s in my freezer! You made so many good meals! I was thinking, you could make a black bean, corn salsa, with those jalapeños and cotija cheese! Great for backyard barbecues! You are such an awesome mom! Maria is so sweet with her hugging mom at the end of this video! Our kids, is definitely what Mother’s Day is all about!
I loved this episode! I think it would be fun to see you make Italian Dunkers for your family. Yes I say Eye-talian too! These were always a favorite growing up and on the school lunch menu. Just make garlic cheese bread on French bread and slice in serving sizes. Dunk in leftover spaghetti sauce! It's a fun way to remake leftover sauce. Have a happy Memorial Day weekend, Brockman's!
I really enjoyed this video! Now, I’m wanting to do the same with my freezer! Gonna try the gummy bear joke on my kids! So adorable and I did chuckle at your “comb over joke! God Bless to your family! Love your kitchen Madonna on the counter. Warmed my heart. I have one too!❤
Many of us could all eat out of our freezers and pantries for awhile. I always like to reinvent food and not waste. Sometimes it can be a fun adventure in cooking. I like to meal prep on my days off as I work full time. Thanks for this video. Would like to see more like this. My tip for berries that aren’t bad but maybe soft and not enough for pie and you don’t have time: I cook them with some sugar and a little cornstarch until it thickens a little. Great with some granola on top or over ice cream or pancakes.
Thanks for this. I found bologna and tater tots in the freezer for lunch today. Fried bologna on the last piece of bread and the heals(ends) of the bread put together like a club sandwich.
I found a slick way to freeze rhubarb. And strawberries for that matter. I wash the rhubarb and cut it. Then lay on a towel to partially dry it off. When fairly dry I lay on a sheet cake pan and flash freeze. I just lay the strawberries on a pan and flash freeze without washing or cutting up. When frozen I put each fruit individually in bags so I can measure exactly what I need without having to thaw a big lump of product out. Congratulations on all you got done! God's blessings.....🥰🥰🥰
😊, I've started emptying my outside freezer I found food that I'd forgotten about 😂, do you make omelets? Fry the jalapeños, onions and tomatoes with the omelet cheese on top, so good 👍 😋
I would like the recipe to Blueberry muffins. I like watching your channel. Here is a tip when you ever do any cobbler you have to have the butter at room temperature otherwise you are forever trying to get it softened it's too much work.
I keep a whiteboard on my freezer to keep track of how many packages of meat, veg and fruit we have.I add or erase a tally as I use them. I have bins for everything so it’s easier to find, I’ve been wrapping things in parchment and storing in silicone bags so less waste
Thanks to you, I inventoried my indoor freezer, wiped it out and started a meal plan based on those items. Thanks for the inspiration and help saving money!!
I empty an entire big tomato paste into a gallon ziplock bag. Smoosh it flat and freeze it flat. When I need some tomatoe paste you just break off what you need!!
What would we farm girls do without our ovens? 🤷🏼♀️😉🥰 Ps…your freezer holds A LOT OF FOOD!! What a great job you did of cleaning it out and feeding your family several meals and goodies from it!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Jennifer - Great Idea - cleaning out the freezer using what you have. Today, I made the crusty loaves with Everything but the Bagel. My husband ate 3 of them for supper. Love your channel. Have a great weekend.
It’s satisfying to see you empty the freezer and make meals with the food you have. You make some great meals!
Thank you for reminding us to check out what is STILL in the freezer and needs to be used, its a good way to save money on the next trip to grocery store. So nice to see
Maria giving her momma a hug..so sweet. Love and Prayers from Indiana. God bless.
I love what Mothers Day means to you and I praise the Lord that he gave me the opportunity to be a mom.

I feel the same and it's always nice to meet someone with those same values.

That's helpful info because I've had a few comments about icy food and wondering if it's still good. Thanks. Happy Mother's Day (a little late).
You cook like my Mom did. Nothing is wasted. She felt Jesus gave us this food. You are a true blessing to all of us and your family.

Well done on clearing out that freezer. The blueberry muffins and cranberry bread, and the luscious looking rhubarb custard bar looked delectable. 👌
Sounds like you like sweets as much as I do. 😊
Love these kinda freezer/ pantry cooking videos! I recently cleaned out my kitchen fridge & freezer & now we’re working on a meal plan for the deep freezer!
I love cleaning out the fridge/freezer! Sparks my creativity and i don't waste.

Go for it!!
Happy Mother’s Day Jennifer you are a Great Mom ❤️

I don’t really enjoy the “use it up” either, but like you said it needs to be done.

It's funny the names we give recipes. Sounds like your garden is really coming along.
A 'clean out the freezer' dinner can be a great adventure. 👍
Thanks Jennifer. You can stuff jalapeños with cream cheese or dice them up in rose wine.

Omg those blueberry 🫐 muffins look perfect and amazing! 💕
I loved this video. I like quick ideas. Less waste with food. Most meals are usually the good ones with little ingredients.
Another wonderful video. Thank you Jennifer. Love you. ❤
Good morning Kelly. Thank you.

WOW Jennifer, one of your best videos. Great job and fabulous editing.
Thanks; I appreciate that.

Happy Mother’s Day ! 🥰♥️.
I love to shop from home. Thanks for sharing .
Isn't that fun to see what you can do with what you have?? I love doing that and it was great to watch what you came up with. Very impressive!!
Yes! It’s amazing the good food that can be made when we put our mind to it.
I'm inspired. I so need to do this. I keep moving the same packages over and over.
I enjoyed this video! We all have scraps in our freezer we need to use!

Ooh, I'd be all over that. Sounds so good.
When we have spaghetti, I prefer to dunk the garlic bread in the sauce instead of the noodles. I'm all about the sauce. 😂
Really enjoyed this video!! Love this channel. Sher.
I love these videos. You give me so much inspiration and make me "creative cook". Thank you :-)
Thanks for the inspiration! I need to check out my pantry areas, too, in addition to the freezer. I loved your jokes, Jennifer!😅😂
I really enjoyed this video! Now,
I’m wanting to do the same with my freezer! Gonna try the gummy bear joke on my kids! So adorable and I did chuckle at your “comb over joke! God Bless to your family! Love your kitchen Madonna on the counter. Warmed my heart. I have one too!❤
Maybe I’ll have to start adding a joke to my videos.
Great video loved it 👍
Great video it gives me inspiration to use stuff in my freezer thanks ☺️
I loved this video! I’m trying to do the same with several freezers right now! Loved your ideas!

Such a great video, thanks 💜
I recently did the same thing. It took me nearly three months, but finally both my freezers are pretty well used up. Great video!
Time to restock now.
That ham bone soup looked delicious, Jennifer.
The soup was very good. I didn’t make it into a creamy soup and I’m glad because it was so good the way it was.
Good work I have my freezer full it would take me awhile to clean it out
Hi Jennifer and sweet family! I think you could take shoe leather and make it look and taste good. Have a blessed day!
Hi all good morning happy Thursday morning and happy early memorial day weekend and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
Good morning.
@A Country Life good morning how are you ☺️

You know what my kids would do? Add and subtract tally marks. I just know they would.
I've been doing the same thing this whole week. I tend to forget things in the very back of my freezer.😁
I love rhubarb anything!
wow what a great job 0f cleaning your freeze out with a lot meals it alwasys surprise me how I get so much stuff leftover in my freezer too.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks to you, I inventoried my indoor freezer, wiped it out and started a meal plan based on those items. Thanks for the inspiration and help saving money!!
That's awesome. Well done!
I giggled at your "fold over, comb over" joke. I love seeing anything you make using cranberries.
🤣😂🤣
I empty an entire big tomato paste into a gallon ziplock bag. Smoosh it flat and freeze it flat. When I need some tomatoe paste you just break off what you need!!
Another viewer said that, too; I love that idea.
Awesome job clearing out the freezer and making all that amazing looking food. Thanks for the inspiration.
I like that lid.
Nice job on the freezer clean out!
What would we farm girls do without our ovens? 🤷🏼♀️😉🥰
Ps…your freezer holds A LOT OF FOOD!! What a great job you did of cleaning it out and feeding your family several meals and goodies from it!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Ps I giggled at your comb-over joke! 😂
I appreciate that. 🤣
I have a ham bone to cook and not sure how I want to do it. Can't wait to see how you use yours.
Great video...I got inspiration. Thanks!
thank you always for sharing , have a great day
Great stuff ! Often times I’ll use up tomato paste by adding it to any beef stew or roast drippings super good flavour profile. ❤🇨🇦
Jennifer - Great Idea - cleaning out the freezer using what you have. Today, I made the crusty loaves with Everything but the Bagel. My husband ate 3 of them for supper. Love your channel. Have a great weekend.
Oh, instead of 4 rolls I made 8 rolls out of the recipe.
No judgment here. I just figured he loves bread.
I need to do this!!
Hi Jennifer :) Do you have a video on your channel on a step by step for how to season a cast iron skillet?
Very inspiring, Jennifer. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Jennifer. Great video and yes, I did laugh at the "fold over-comb over" play on words. Have a blessed day.
Good afternoon Denise; I'm glad to read here that many of you laughed at my comb over joke.
Jennifer, I thought you had a food saver?? I am so funny about frozen stuff covered in ice...guess you proved me wrong! HA
