I had thought about those ham sticks.. But as I love making things I figured I'd try it. Learned a whole lot making these.. My latest version is far better than this one in this video.. They are just a little bulky but not near as bulky or big as others I've seen people put on their vehicle.. Haha
Welp... I just made this antenna after watching you do it... I used number 10THHN on 2" PVC conduit, and then put a threaded coupling on the end and reduced it down with aluminum RE bushings
Very nice. I am installing HF sticks to my truck with a coax switch in the cab. I will tune my antennas this week.

I'm still using mine on my ford ranger.. Works pretty good. A little finicky on 40m but still tunable.. But made all kinds of contacts with it
So the coil is connected to ground and the tuning wire is connected to the center of the so239
