Sometimes I'm as dumb as a stump. The chain is rubbing on the kickstand because the bike is jacked up on the stand which drops the swing arm down plus if someone were sitting on the bike the chain would not rub. DUH! 🤔

just picked up a 64 Honda 90 CT200 to play with this winter in my shed. last time I had a small bike like this was a Honda 50 street bike and was 14 years old. I'm 71 now so this will be fun for sure. I need to see if the battery will charge up but probably need a new one. the bike is in really good shape like yours.

      How did it turn out?

It runs great. I need to do a follow up video soon. My plan is to take it with in the truck bed on our next RV trip to ride in the parks. No license for it so no highway riding. Best 500 bucks I ever spent

my guess... pause the video at 11:22 and you can see air between the manifold and carburetor spacer. Button that up / new rubber o-rings / and cinch it down. Couldn't hurt!

Never seen a carb manifold spacer on one of those before now .

I wish i couid find decent machines like these in my area haha. only projects i have is a 98 kawasaki bayou 220 that im waiting on tools to rebuild and an atc 185s that has good spark and compression but i broke the pull rope and let it sit so haven't got started yet sadly. the bayou is my first rebuild so hopefully it goes well.

Run an ad in your local craigslist asking for old parts bikes. You might find some cool bikes cheap.

Definitely has an air leak, pull the carb and manifold and run the mating surfaces on a surface plate to check for any warping. Is that the oem insulator between the carb and manifold? Check it for cracks as that's common.
You were twisting the idle speed screw but didn't see you try the mixture... give that a look too (after you make sure all the air leaks are gone).
Lastly, check the point gap and ign timing just for good measure ...compression seems very good but give the valve lash a look too.
That's a very clean orig CT200... make it run perfect ;)

Great advice, will remember for the next one. After letting it warm up it idled fine, possible manifold leak. Bike already sold as is, buyer was told about idle issue. Thanks again!

A cool little bike. That idle is crazy.

Dead battery =no or weak spark . DC coil . The rectifier often fails as well .

I'm no expert - Vespa man myself, but that rear sprocket looks enormous. Is it the right one? Also, why are there two sets of teeth on it?
    Weird!

The sprocket is correct. These older Trail 90 bikes came with 2 sprockets, one for street and one for trail. You had to add or remove a section of chain to switch sprockets. If you were going to use the little sprocket you had to remove the large one. As for the chain rubbing something is out of wack with the kickstand. The newer Trail 90s had a high/low gear box instead of the 2 sprockets. You could go from high to low with the flick of a lever. Thanks for the comment.
