The creator of one of my favorite WEBTOON series, Omniscient Reader, is back with an entirely new series, The World After The Fall. After a Tower emerges from the ground, humanity is called to climb the tower and save the world, to become Tower Walkers, climbing each floor, battling wave after wave of enemies and monsters, to gain skills and stats and become the savior of humanity, but what’s really interesting is how our main character Tower Walker Jaehwan’s story starts, but technically ends.

As someone who read the entire novel 2 times. It's really a beautifull Manwha. Talking about what being a human is and what it takes to trascend and the consequences of doing so

@@guillermofeijoo7797 Alright. Before anything, you need to know some stuff about the Universe of TWATF.
It's made of uncountable dimensions, that all come from the Great Lands. The Great Lands have a Tree inside called "The Imagery Tree" or "The Tree of Imagery". This Tree acts as the center of everything in the verse, since it expands all across the universe and is used as a point from where the System expands across everywhere.
Now, The System has 2 types of "users".
First ones are adapters, people dedicated to use the system to get stronger, using techniques teached Millenia ago. The Most succesfull adapters are usually ranked Generals or even Monarchs (For reference, the weakest general in TWATF is basically a 9th stage adapter).
The most unlucky adapters end up in Chaos, where they are limited to do a lot of stuff. Clan Leaders from the different Sects/Clans in TWATF are basically the most influential adapters in Chaos (Not counting Castellans of the different Fortresses).
Now, The other type of System user is the Awakener. It's a really hard to unlock system, where this people use other abilities such as Doubt, Suspicion, etc. They are usually sold as slaves for The Great Lands Monarchs and Depth Gods.
Awakeners usually have 5 stages of Awakening, while adapters have 15 stages of adapting. They both have 1 more stage, but once they reach that, they are not adapters nor awakeners anymore, they reach something interesting.
Now, Nightmares are a race in TWATF, just like the Demons, that dedicate their life to research and make towers that rely on The Tree mentioned before. The only 2 Nightmares we saw as of now are Myullack Armelt and Sirwen Armelt (The girl appears in chapter 16 of the manwha, Pink hair).
Right now the only thing you should know is that Jae Hwan wants to unify Chaos, but is getting problems since the Golden Sky Sect is getting help from The Great Lands.

Only a few chapters have passed, but you already noticed one aspect of the story: The feeling of loneliness.
I'm a reader of the novel and believe me, that air of loneliness never seems to leave Jaehwan; Whether it's because of his strength, his attitude, his methods of doing things or his goals, but Jaehwan somehow always seems lonely.
Perhaps at some point (near or far) the story may seem strange or meaningless to you, but later it acquires that meaning and I hope you like it.
Just as a side note, The World After the Fall and Omniscient Reader have a slight connection, as they take place in nearby (not the same) universes; there is information, some elements and an event that unites them. You can understand each one perfectly without reading the other, but they complement each other subtly and mutually reinforce some aspects.
Yeah, The World After the Fall was referenced in the ORV webtoon too...
the plot twist on the regression stones was the best.

This series fucked with my mind and I put reading it on hold for a month or so before I continued reading when he [went to the other dimension]. Just waiting to stack up it's chapters again before reading
My interpretation of the Novel (simplified version):
For me, this novel was about humans, belief and ouroborus
The whole novel felt like a contradiction, the way Jaehwan contradicted himself without even noticing at the beggining and the way the story ends in even bigger contradictions.
He is real and at the same time he isn't real, his world is real and at the same time it isn't, his friends exist and at the same time they don't.
It's simply a ouroboros, forever becoming real and unreal.

The whole point of the novel was "truth" ,doubting the world, doubting everything. To be honest, his whole adventure or power trip or trip to opnesss, whatever you want to call it out ,was simply a plot device for the ending. [I wanted to see the impossible story unfold. I wanted to see that impossible story become a reality. Maybe this is why I consider this novel to be within the modern fantasy genre.] -Author’s thought on [The World After the Fall] (chapter 229) After reading until the very last chapter, if you comes back for this chapter 229, every pieces would simply piece itself. The power to doubt which things are true or not, the lectures on parallel worlds or what not isn't meant only for the protagonist but for the readers too. "The nightmare of the beginning" was our reality. Its pretty obvious i know, Jaehwan's(author) adventure to slay big brother was his imagination as a kid, is that it? Nope, this is where the dilemma in the prologue came back, our reality which states that such a thing is impossible and his adventure of Jaehwan who destroyed big brother is simply a delusion. The whole world imposes that reality, and just like in the beginning ,Jaehwan begins to "doubt"(his skill) our world(reality)using what he believes to be the "truth"(another skill) , his own "world"the world after the "FALL" /this novel or his skill called "Fall"he will "destroy" our "World"(reality)
the last chapters you shouldn't look through the perspective of "Jaehwan the one who killed the big brother" but from the perspective of "Jaehwan the author of The world after the fall"
Also during the ending chapters when he gets his kid body back and later writes the novel because of the Doctor telling him to "let more people know about his World so they believe in it" the fact that Jaehwan is the one who supposedly wrote this novel is so that we can believe in his "World" (stated previously in the novel the more people who believe in your world the stronger you get/more it becomes real if i recall). This could be like what you said the 215 chapters or so we read about the world with the tree of imagery and all that may just be his imagination, but maybe what could be happening in some parallel world and we read the novel made by the character of the novel himself. the fact that Jaehwan is actually the author of a novel about himself makes me think of Ouroboros, having no definite beginning or end. I believe that it's a repetitive cycle. No beginning No End. The jheawan of this universe goes through fall and all of the story and finally destroys that reality but then enter another one where he wakes form the dream and then all of the doctors session and novel stuff he lay's down the foundation of same world for another universe, the it gets repeated continuously in a looping cycle and we then don't know where is the beginning of it or the end. As the story of the jeawhan we read might be consequence of another jeawhan that wrote the novel. Or it can also hint to the hot springs section of the novel where the god gheshalt took off it clothes and new beings/not beings were created for or just like budha so maybe the jeawhan of that world passed away while fighting the big brother as swiren recovers his damaged sword in the tree roots anyways the memories get passed to a different jeawhan who wakes from slumber as 10 year old and then cycle repats like that.
Anyways I am sad for sirwen with these explanation and theories she will never meet jeawhan and pass away. Quite sad I wanted her love to be realized. Maybe the crack in the tower that was talked about in the last chapter might be a hint of jeawhan returning to her and that is why she went for her sleep comfortably. Or it can also represent her death after accomplishing the tower master peice she created after inspirations but it was aslo suggested that she had 1000 year's to live and 2-300 were used during the process of tower creation and root search but then again it was not clearly mentioned how long it took her to make the tower.
