@@sylviaondolo2731 well, once you get into the groove, it's easy. And as I've played some bach before (actually uploaded it on this channel, don't watch it, it's bad) I know the groove.
It's 2:30 in the morning, this piece started playing inside my head and I had no idea what it was. I tried singing it to google, playing it by ear to google several times and it didn't work. Then I tried to search for the sheet music in my sheet book, and fortunately it WAS there, but the name wasn't. I tried using google lens on the sheet music to no avail. Then I googled how to find a piece through the sheet music and I found Musipedia. I tried the grid method there but it didn't work. Then I tried the keyboard search and I FINALLY FOUND IT! I can't believe I spent so much time just trying to find this. Anyway, love the way you play :)
Paul is seriously a treasure. I hear pretty much concert level mastery in all of his interpretations. Tempo, dynamics, articulation, phrasing.. EVERYTHING! Please give me your piano skills!
@Maximilian Ballard I can hear it pretty well. Its usually a lot harder to hear lower pitches on a phone or computer without headphones, unless you did use headphones?
@Max Splain He is actually right, as it happens I am a musician and I have performed this piece. Left hand has a melody, this artist fails to bring it out. It is a two voice invention, the whole point is to have two voices.
For some reason, I don't find this piece as difficult as many people say. Maybe it's because I use the fingerings that work best for me rather than the ones I am supposed to use. Anyway, wonderful job Mr. Barton!!!
Exactly! At first because of the awful fingering and the two hands coordination I almost wanted to give up, but after a week I’m finally able to do it at the right tempo.
I find that the in many of Bachs keyboard pieces there is very often an appropriate finger over or near the next note to be played. Not always of course, but noticeably more frequent than is the case with any other composer that I have encountered. Also, loved the subtle dynamics of Paul’s playing. In my opinion those who advocate a strict tempo for Bach devalue Bach's musical genius.
Fabuleux. Remarquable. En plus c'est joué avec un style plaisant et mélodieux. A la différence de certains qui se croient obligés de courir la poste, pour briller... là au moins on peut apprécier la beauté de l'œuvre. Merci et bravo. Cordialement Olivier
When I stopped playing piano four years ago, in late 2020, I was in the middle of learning this piece. I started playing up again a couple weeks ago, I hope I'll get to learn it this time!
@@uni7935 oww don;t't get me wrong, I agree, have played the piano 15 years myself. Didn't play for a long time and started again a week ago, and I can definitly see I need to brush up A LOT again. I would have loved to have shown this to my 1st grade and 4th grade Science Lab students when it was time to teach them about how vibrations produce sound. They would have thought it was cool, and it would be a sneaky way to introduce them to classical music in a way that they'd enjoy.

I played this clarinet with a bass clarinettist for a clarinet duo at a comp… and then played It on piano and won both- to be fair I was 11 so the competition wasn’t too stiff!
