@Raymondo666 Since the tories have been in power 2010.First few years they froze benefits and since then benefits have never kept up with inflation and now Truss has more or less said they haven't decided whether or not to increase the benefits from April by the 10% she promised in the hustings and in TV interviews Even Gove has said that giving tax cuts to the rich and giving bankers carte blanche with their bonuses and at the same time not increasing benefits or the triple lock with the promised increases is wrong and not Conservative. Remember not putting up benefits with inflation is a cut.
I’ve been where a lot of the workers are today before being made redundant. Enough is enough, we need better rights and a voice.

@@paulsawtell3991 Truss was "elected" by 70000 or so tory members. And as for last time, I assume you mean Scargill who was proved right about the mines. That was just one strike by the miners Union. This is much different. Just about every public service will be on strike sooner or later. Even that we'll known bunch of communists the nurses and the lefty barristers. Sometimes a strike is needed or don't you believe in the right to strike.

Mick Lynch speaks the language everyone can understand. He knows exactly what is going on and is pitching his arguments just right for wider public support. His words shine through because he knows the details and speaks the truth, and the bonus on top is that the right wing press cant find an angle to drag him down. Whenever I see him on TV he comes across a decent guy, who genuinely cares about people and is willing to put up with a huge amount of flack in interviews, to (politely) get his point across. Go for it Mick.

Just like our energy bills. We import energy from Frances nationalised energy company. Their bill go up 5% whilst ours double so we can subsidse it for them. Key infrastructure should not be run for profit

My wife and I went to ASDA twice this week and contributed to food banks on the way out. There are many like us trying to do their bit. In a civilised modern democracy that shouldn't be necessary in the first place but to hear that even food banks are in trouble is a sign that even those that normally help in this way are struggling. Our government is a disgrace and the really sad thing is that I'm not too sure Labour would be that much better, one lives in hope.

At almost 58 yrs old I've never been in favour of strike's or demonstration's untill now
Enough is Enough will be the first such thing I've ever supported, I don't support every aspect ( letting the trade unions loose is not a good idea especially in out current situation imo) but I am prepared to support all aspects of it brings about change. Not only a change of government but a change in which any government , most of whom are so far removed from the day to day effect's their legislation and policies have on the ordinary working people of this country who want nothing more than proper decent working conditions, a more level society , the majority of public services back in the hand's of the public, decent reliable health & social care, a proper living wage and reforms in exactly how this country is governed.
This is nothing to do with any particular political party ( certainly not in my case anyway) and it's not about BREXIT, immigration or climate change, it's about the rights of every British citizen to be treated with respect, of being listened to by those we elect & of having a stable and thriving economy to pass on to future generations. No doubt the current government are going to fight hard to stop the movement and life is going to be extremely unsettled for sometime but hopefully the general public will like me and thousands of others give the ENOUGH IS ENOUGH campaign it's full support 🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧🙏
