Most Swedish low-BR tanks are from the post-war era using WW2 and interwar period chassis, the Strv 74 being the most high-profile example of that.
However, APDS is not a cold-war invention: There should be a lot more WW2 British vehicles using it, for instance, most famously the Firefly who doesn't get access to it at all.
The tanks you listed are all armed with the 37 mm Bofors cannon, which famously was one of the rare guns at the time that had access to APDS.
However, back in those days, APDS remained a rare type of ammo as the manufacture costs made it more of a hassle than actually worth it. APDS only became widespread during the Cold War due to the fact that both the Germans during WW2 and the now-hostile Russians developed and deployed very heavily-armored tanks. That means the average "competitive" caliber size increased from 75/76 mm over 90 mm to 105 mm, and those 105 mm APDS slugs proved sufficient against any type of armor fielded at the time. It should be noted that APDS potency disproportionally increases the bigger the caliber.
Plus the Brits actually made APDS more competitive due to developing an APDS round whose sabot discarded immediately after firing, instead of only eventually doing it during the flight, which resulted in massive drag.
So it's entirely fair to associate APDS with Cold War era vehicles, as it only appeared very sporadically before that. Similar to HEAT. Germans did have it - it was just not very effective.

There used to be another animation for early western apfsds. The dart itself was shorter but straight. You could see this difference between DM23 and DM33. I went in game to check but it seems to have been removed.

The Heatfs animation shows a rifled 100mm shell from a T-55 (which looks very similar to the older non fin stabilized Heat) while the in game kill cam shows a 125mm autoloading shell. Or the Nato 105/120 Heatfs which looks different.

Where are you from?
I’ve never liked the aircraft shell animations, when there were first added, I for some reason scrutinized them. And came to the conclusion that they simply just don’t look as good as the ground vehicle shell animations. They lacked the punch in the animation, and looked rushed.
