@@tomevans4402 It just depends on what your carving mostly doesn’t it. They all have their unique benefits. I tried the tape recently, still need to get to grips with it, but feel like it’ll be a new favourite.
English woods (www.englishwoods.co.uk/blank-2/lime-Basswood-wood-carving-blanks) does various larger size options, and you can always glue pieces together to make them larger too
Thanks for the video - from Chicago USA

I found the lime I bought from English woods to be like carving a rock. So jealous of the north American carvers!!!
I do agree that they have some better woods available
easy to start!!!much easier than having a bandsaw to do woodworking
There is a lot less equipment required which is appealing
I love my Mora 106 knife.
@@JohnKeating-t4f that’s great. What kind of carvings do you use it for?
The handle is a bit small for my hands, but the blade geometry is super nice. I have made a lot of Sara's sleeping foxes with that blade.
@@JohnKeating-t4f it is hard to find the perfect combination in a knife.
They sound really cool, fox carvings are so pretty
You 😮
I just really struggle to find larger pieces of wood than 2x2” online
