I couldn't even bring myself to finish the video. Cod zombies was my first adult game I started and i've been a face since I was 9. It's been ten years now, i'm 19 and, I just dont even know what to say. This is so heartbreaking to me

I was prestige master and genuinely enjoying the game a lot, but I cannot support this kind of development. absolutely disgusting stuff from Activision and Microsoft. A boycott is necessary but completely unrealistic :/ they will continue to make money and nothing will change. I am sad.
Don’t get me wrong, the editing in this video was absolutely incredible, it’s very cinematic and easily earned my like and subscription. I just don’t think this information warranted an 8-minute video. The editing is genuinely amazing, it’s on the level of deserving millions of views, but it’s held back by the fact that there’s just not much real content being served at all. Someone clicking on this video with no prior knowledge on the topic learns "voice actors are leaving because SAG-AFTRA wanted to protect them from AI voice cloning, but Activision refused, and the creator of this video thinks it was done because Microsoft is evil and all they care about is profit, and using ai is much cheaper than hiring real artists and delivers similar quality". A sentence or two could’ve been put in a community post along with screenshots of the reddit comments and ai calling cards you made and it would’ve done the same job.
Even if they didn’t have any voicelines the game would still be good. World at War zombies didn’t have any voicelines (other than the announcer voice ofc) and people still loved that enough for it to become the massive franchise it is now. Calling it the "death of COD zombies" makes it seem like something that actually negatively impacts players is happening to the game. If you hate these new voice actors so much just set dialogue volume to 0 (and turn on subtitles if you still want the message).
If this is the end of zombies, then so be it. It's tragic but these legends deserve to be compensated properly and not replaced with AI. Thanks to every single person for the memories. I hope your next projects pay you fairly and give you much needed respect

I stopped playing CoD Actively since Black Ops 3. Of course, I tried to stay on the loop, hear news from here and there and watch some streamers playing the yearly CoD from time to time. Returned at Cold War, I've always been a zombie player. And I really Liked how Cold War zombies felt, it felt light they were on the right track again. Characters, story, soundtrack, maps. Black Ops 6 Arrives, practically, Cold War 2. The "CoD with most development years" on its back. And I loved it. I liked the Zombie experience, a playable crew again, it felt like a fresh experience, yet so familiar. All of this, thanks to the PEOPLE that worked on it,that cared about a story, and cared about the player experience. I'm not trying to be a boomer here, but there's no chance an AI can replicate that feeling and pin-point faults and things to fix in order for get things right. Of course there are wallpapers, calling cards, and icons made with Ai, I didn't paid much attention cause those are smaller things and don't really interfere with my gameplay experiencie. But messing with VA's? I get that as a company they seek the most profitable options, this is the best debuting CoD at the time, they totally can do better than this, they should. Now its Voice Actors, but companies will try to find a way to reduce and cut people from their potitions, and, of course, they'll eventually realize there was a clear mistake on their part, eventually announcing a new CoD with the premise "No AI used", as it should've always been. I mean, the ride was good I guess, but If I,personally, could wait 6 (+4) years to come back. Another 6 years won't bother me much, I decide to actively stop playing CoD, unless things change. I know my pressence on the game doesn't affect neither on the lower or larger scale of things. But I like to think I'm not the only one who doesn't like how Activision is running things.
Not only has a good point but also helps us realize how much they matter to the community. The fact that corporations don't feel what the community feels is saddening. Those voice actors made it every part of what it is. They mean just as much to the community and they shouldn't have to compete with a program.
This game really sealed the fate of this side mode I loved for like a decade. It also showed how low the bar has been set. I’ve pretty much dropped zombies after completing the new maps EE. Camo grind was grindier than cold wars. High round games suck. Literal copy paste warzone armor hud in the bottom corner. Missing previous perks that should release with any new cod zombies (double tap, mule kick, widows wine). Mystery box is effectively useless. Rarities are here to stay. One new wonder weapon and four extremely useless swords so far. Fully butchered the points economy. Zombies is online only and they totally removed pausing co op games. They’ve perfected the art of taking one step forward and eight steps back. We lose more features than we gain with each new game. I think if you’re sitting down and enjoying this zombies mode you have something wrong with you. Like I’m happy for you this corporate-money-grubbing infused game mode is enjoyable for you. But you have to be willing to admit that the best we ever got was everything up to bo3 and aspects of bo4. The only thing that would remotely interest me is a full remaster of waw-bo4 maps all on one game. And it’ll never happen because of all the new systems that would conflict with how those maps played. Ggs Activision.
Bo4 was the last true zombies experience despite more than half the community never giving it a try and seeing the good in bo4 zombs... imo my top 3 zombs easily with bo3 and bo2

I had a friend in the game tell me that he spent 300$ on gobble gums, he told me he often plays the game casually as his only video game and justified his purchase in that regard, i never payed attention to that particular microtransaction compared to the cosmetics and mastercrafts but i see now that too it was actually a desired product to some and would make millions only on suggestive psychological factors made by devlopers using ingame push notifications

This series means so much to me. Playing since Black Ops 2 Zombies (going back to World At War and Black Ops 1 to experience the games beforehand) and playing through its highs of Black Ops 3 and lows of Vanguard until present day Black Ops 6. I really can’t see this series falling apart just because of not compensating for the people who put their hearts into this game. F Activision for doing this…
